This Medical Practice is by far the best I have ever experienced. From the moment you walk in , you are treated as a person, and to them, you matter. The most beautiful , caring , understanding receptionists who make you feel important and helped in every way possible. The Doctors at this practice take the time to see you, you never feel like a number to them. They are very professional and extremely skilled. The Dr's ensure that you are followed up and you are looked after. I would highly recommend this practice to everyone. 5 Gold Star Rating. This is an excellent practice. The doctors are thorough and never rush you or make you feel like what you have to say isn't important. Dural Family Medical Practice has been my go to Doctors since I was 3 years old. They’re unbelievably friendly and always right on the ball with their diagnoses. They have had a bit of a change in active doctors over the last 5ish years but the quality of their work stayed valiant and remarkable. I trust these doctors with my life, and the lives of my family and friends both present and future. It is a shame that now they do charge for their work but that is a greater reflection on the government than them. As they’re well worth it

I would like to leave an honest review about my recent experience at Dural Family Medical Practice. Overall, the reception staff were friendly and accommodating, and the practice was well presented. Be warned, it is clear that Dr Kevin Aung only cares about financial gain. I wasn't going to leave a review but my second appointment with him has confirmed my concerns and I would like others to know. Consultation prices are 0-20 minutes at $74 and 20-40 minutes at $136. My first appointment was 22 minutes which I understand according to the time stamp. However, upon speaking with the doctor for clarification, he advised he begins his timer prior to collecting his patient from the waiting room ans stops the timer after he finishes the patients notes after the leave. He then proceeded to ask me how long I felt the appointment was which I answered 18 minutes as this was based on the time I entered to the time I messaged my partner after the appointment. He questioned whether I was experiencing financial difficulty and gave me a $21 discount. My second appointment was through telehealth to receive my results with the same GP. Prior to making this appointment I clarified with reception whether i could have these results sent to me and whether there would be a gap payment for my appointment. Reception advised me that result appointment needed to be with the doctor and are bulk-billed as long as only results were discussed. All my results were normal, a recommendation for iron tablets was made, and then the doctor advised I needed to pay. When I let him know what the receptionist had advised me, his response was "it takes a lot of effort to give the patient the results". Given my normal results and no further issues discussed, I think my point is clear. I didn't pay the gap as per the miscommunication, however reception acknowledged but did not take accountability for the miscommunication and expected me to pay.

I find the practice very professional. I generally see the same GP, Dr Chang, and I like his knowledge, manner and treatment. There is about a 50-50 mix of male and female doctors, which makes it easy if you have a preference. Practice has a scheduled pathology nurse in most mornings, and a practice nurse for inoculations etc. Desk staff are great too. I am very happy to have this as my normal local GP practice.

I recently saw Dr Mendis at Dural Family Medical Practice and had an amazing experience. She listened to all my concerns and went above and beyond to help me. It was so refreshing to find a doctor who genuinely cares and takes the time to help her patients. Would highly recommend Dural Family Medical Practice and Dr Mendis!

Highly recommend DFMP. Our family has been coming here for over 15 yrs. We see both Dr Mendis and Dr Chang and they’re both amazing, caring, very knowledgeable, compassionate and supportive. The nurses and front desk staff are equally amazing.

Receptionist was friendly, helpful and conducted himself in a professional manner. Dr was on time, thorough and took the time to understand my medical needs and what future actions needed to take place.

Attended for a COVID vaccination. Easy flow of paperwork , administration of vaccine and easy to follow instructions. Appointment time was met and staff were friendly and professional.

I had a very pleasant experience with my visit today. The reception nurse ( sorry that I didn't learn about her name)is most helpful . The attending doctor is also conscientious n patient.

Dr Christopher Chang took the time to make sure I understood my test results. I left feeling listened to and informed. I never feel rushed or like my symptoms aren’t taken seriously here.

The practice is well equipped, staff show genuine concern and the doctors provide high quality service. Highly recommend.

I’ve been attending Dural family practice for over 25 years and although I no longer live in the area It still remains my place of choice for excellent health care. Dr Chang and the practice nurses are diligent, professional and caring. This practice also offers a range of other services that make it a convenient ‘one stop shop’ for most of my health care needs.

Great doctor. Dr Chang. Always so personable and concern for the patient. Both my hubby and I have great confidence in him. He takes the trouble to explain the tests and results. Always trying to see what else can improve our health. Very knowledgeable.

It was a really bad experience for me as I had made a phone booking for 4:30 pm and arrived at 4:20 pm. However after waiting till 5:15 the doctor was still not available. On checking with the receptionist, she said that she had OBLIGED me by booking a walk in appointment. Being sick with fever, I am not really crazy to do a walk in. I had booked in at 2:39 pm and obviously one of the receptionist did not make a proper note. If it is a mistake please accept it and don't pass the blame on sick patients please! Sick patients are already in a lot of pain please show some emotions.

Since my favourite (and life long) GP, Dr. Meena Singh, retired, I have struggled to find another that I felt comfortable with. On the lovely receptionists recommendation, I spoke with Dr. Udara Gunawardane. I was nervous as I have never asked a male doctor for women’s health advice. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and understanding of my situation. I feel like I will get real results from his consult. Thankyou Dr. Udara!

This has been the regular doctor for my family for years now and they are great! Been to a few doctors at the practice and all are helpful, but Dr Aung is my regular doctor and he is very caring and supportive, and a great doctor!

Dr Christopher Chang saw me as an injured cyclist following a hit and run collision with a car on a roundabout. His assessment of my (minor) injuries was very competent, professional and compassionate. Highly recommended and many thanks.

The doctors are well informed, attentive and caring. There is an equal number of female and male doctors. The practice is well run. Staff turnover is low. I really hope this practice stays this way because I don't want to look for another medical practice again, at least as long as i live in the Hills. I searched 10 years to finally find one I really like!

My doctor is young, switched on and takes great care of my health. All the extra services like the pathology collection, podiatrist and physiotherapist are in the same building which is very convenient. This practice has a homely feel about it and all the staff work as a Team to ensure that the highest level of service is always on offer. I highly recommend this practice.

When I moved to Dural 10years ago, I wanted to find a GP and practice that was close by and had doctors I could 'connect' with. Certainly won the lottery with this team. I have complex medical issues and I have never, ever felt rushed or dismissed. I have a regular GP whom I have so much faith in but if I ever need anything when they're not there, the other doctors can easily assist me. No stone is left unturned with all possibilities explored. And having pathology onsite, it's very convenient. Also the treatment room and nurses, means you can get lots of things attended to. I even went there once in a emergency and was treated straight away and left in an ambulance. The reception staff that have been there for many years are exceptional, know your name, your history and are very, very caring and abide by absolute confidentiality. I have no hesitation in recommending this practice.

Dural family medical practice are an amazing team. It was word of mouth that i heard about this medical center. I was looking for a doctor who would listen to my daughters heart complex health issues .We were looking for a doctor who would look at her as a whole person for a very very long time so we decided to give them a go the doctor took a full holistic approach and made her feel well within a matter of weeks after so many years of struggling i also see a doctor there who looks after my health , the team here are so so amazing in so many ways we are blessed to have found them highly recommended. Dural Family Medical Practice is outstanding. The level of care is second to none. They are professional, thorough in their treatment of medical issues and preventative care, friendly, approachable and explain things very well. I went here the other day and the staff was super friendly. Even with all the work they were doing they continued to work well spirited and gave a calming presence to the environment.

We have been long standing patients of this practice for the past 23 years. In that time we have had a number of GPs, all of these doctors, have given us the best of care. The current doctors and staff have continued this practise at the highest levels with the highest proficiency and personal service possible. Additionally the Dural Family Medical Practice has widened its services to being a one stop multi-disciplined Practice covering our everyday medical care and needs.

I was recommended this practice by my sister in law who has come her whole life and now takes her own children there. Whenever I am in need of seeing a GP I always have a positive experiment at Dural Family Medical Practice, no matter who I see. From booking an appointment, through to receiving my rebate, the whole process is so smooth and made easy by the team.

Haven’t been to Dural Family Medical Practice before but have to say I was impressed. Booked in and arrived about half an hour early which was no problem. Super efficient, in and out in 20 mins. Staff were friendly, nurses very nice and helpful. Would come back for sure if need be :)

I just got off the phone with Elaine (unsure of name) the receptionist about 3 minutes ago. It was a sub 1 minute phone call where I asked for an appointment availability. She rudely spoke over the top of me and when I asked for another day, she didn't even let me finish my sentence before telling me they were booked out and hung up. I'm sure this place has fantastic healthcare staff, but I'll never find out. Thanks Elaine.

The medical practice in Dural offers excellent service. As well as demonstrating a high level of medical competence, the medical staff took my family member's mental health condition seriously and put everything in place to ensure that it was dealt with in a caring and appropriate manner. Each time we visit, we feel understood and are very grateful for the way the staff handles our concerns. The staff, both the doctors and the receptionists, are attentive and very professional, always welcoming and smiling. I highly recommend this address!
