Modern Japanese restaurant with beautiful view of the Brisbane river and the Story bridge lit up at nighttime. The service was exceptionally fast and superb even if it was really busy, was taken care of by a lovely waiter throughout my dinner with friends. We loved the exquisite menu and cocktails, great to share platters but on the pricey side. Definitely coming back again!

Great open air (under cover) spot right on the water in Brisbane. The staff were really helpful and happy to accommodate my allergies. The food is Japanese fusion with a concise menu of share plates and banquet style options. Great cocktails too. It's quite pricey but what you'd expect to pay for good quality food and great service in such a premium spot. Definitely recommend

Riverfire dining experience at Yoko dining was an absolute vibe from its Bearbrick and Kaws art deco, restaurant ambiance and riverfront views we could not fault it. I even got a restaurant tour from Georgia because I was so excited over the pop art figurines throughout the restaurant. The staff were all polite and friendly. The food, cocktails, wine and customer service was on another level. We were warmly welcomed by Corrina, who made our experience at Yoko a fun memorable one! Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Brisbane!

Yoko is fantastic. The food is always mouth watering and tasty. The assorted sashimi is a must for the sashimi lovers! The staff are kind and attentive. Georgia is fantastic, she always has a smile on her face and makes me feel welcome every time.

Came here with my fiance and the family today for lunch and had the best lunch time experience! The food and drinks were absolutely amazing! The waitress that served us was Keely, who was the most attentive waitress we could have asked for. She was so lovely and onto it, and gave the best recommendations. The entire experience was amazing and I will definitely be back to Yoko! :)

We had late lunch at Yoko. It is located at the Brisbane riverside with good view. They have seats indoors as well as outdoors overlooking the river. Staffs are very friendly and accommodating. Nice , modern style decorations. We had tasty soft shell crab , yummy grilled prawns and average grilled calamari. Bear in minds that they have fusion style Japanese food ( limited choices for traditional Japanese food).

Semi casual semi formal, but I really enjoyed the food there. Really nice staff, such as jack! Really enjoyed the eggplant - definitely cannot miss that. The edamame was also pretty good. Cool decor, there is an outside seating as well as a indoor and mezzanine - all with different atmospheres/vibes.

We heard that this place was good for gluten free and boy they aren't kidding. Most of the menu can be made gluten free. And everything is delicious. I highly recommend this to Amy coeliac that struggles to find a good place to eat. We had "the feast" and every meal was perfect. The service was attentive and pilot and the view of the city and bridge from the outside dining is extra special.

Came for the first time on a busy Sunday night. Six of us ordered the $80 banquet set. I was sceptical but the foods were better than I thought. Their modern take on Japanese food kind of works. The edamame was delicious, charred and sprinkled with salt and seaweed. The trout was so good, the sauce matched very well. The chicken karaage is crispy and juicy but too heavy on the seasoning. The prawns were okay. The sauce was very buttery but didn't have much other flavours. This isn’t really a Japanese dish and quite underwhelming comparing to other dishes. The steak was cooked perfectly and the condiments work with the steak. The menu says wagyu but it tasted like a normal piece of steak to me. The black sesame seeds ice cream wrapped with mochi is to die for. I could eat a few of thought. Overall, good dining experience. Nice restaurant environment. You over look the river if you sit outside. Staffs were friendly and prompt service in a busy night. Not bad value for money, good amount of foods.

What a memorable dining experience! I came here for my birthday dinner with my friends. I had made a reservation beforehand through the website, and it was such an easy process. I visited on a Saturday night, which is usually busy, but my friends and I were warmly greeted at the entrance, and then they escorted us to our table. I chose an outdoor table with a fantastic view of the riverside and wharf bridge. The food was delicious and flavorful, especially the duck fried rice, which was amazing; we ended up ordering it again. The service was beyond terrific. After we finished our meal, they surprised me with two complimentary soft-serve ice cream and sorbet. Definitely will come back soon.

Amazing dining experience at Yoko. Superb service, great outdoor area, everyone was very welcoming of my 2 year old as well. Food was incredible. Had the $75 set menu and was a great variety of dishes with awesome flavours. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Brisbane!

The best food, cocktails, views and service. Oh my goodness. How can I ever eat anything else now??? Fast, attentive service. Food perfection. Great for gluten free. Bustling atmosphere but not too loud. Cocktails were the best I have had.

The food is fresh and very tasty, the atmosphere is amazing and the staff is professional and attentive. I came twice to Yoko Dining on Sunday lunch with the family and it was a great experience each time. It is very pleasant and relaxing to eat with a river view. Highly recommended.

Very nice and fancy restaurant. Service was great and so was the food! There are nice views of the bridge and City just outside. Price is $$$. We were dining for 3 people, and had about 7 smaller dishes shared between us which was a perfect amount. When ordering definitely choose a large selection of dishes to be satisfied.

The miso eggplant was amazing! Ordered 2 plates! Really liked the mushroom karaage. Some people on the table thought the batter was not salty enough but personally was ok for me. The pork belly kakuni was ok, it was very tender but lacking a little bit in flavour and seasoning. The addition of the negi on top was really nice though. The wagyu striploin was very tasty and flavourful and amazing paired with the wasabi and yuzu koshou but a bit on thchewy side. Was amazing paired with white rice. The seasonal sashimi platter was super fresh and beautifully presented. Cannot go wrong with sashimi. The prawns with Kombu butter was really fresh and I wish I had rice at the time to eat the rest of the butter with. The caramel miso soft serve was the best out of all 3 desserts we ordered. So creamy, smooth and the salty miso was a mind blowing addition. The shaved ice was kind of basic and really nothing special, could hardly taste the kinako. The fried cake was little under average. The sauce was very flavorful but the cake itself was really like a donut king donut. I would’ve liked to see more Japanese flavours and elements incorporated into the desserts. Maybe some matcha, Hojicha, black sesame or red bean. Maybe Instead of a fried cake, something made with glutinous rice. Overall amazing experience though, would definitely come back to try out the rest of the menu!

Yoko dining is a Japanese style restaurant with the best view of Brisbane city. The yoko feast that we had was of the utmost perfection. Every course was a journey of flavors through time. The highlight for me was actually the steamed greens with shiitake mushroom XO. The taste of it really reminded me of home and brought back so many fond memories of the bustling sounds and kitchen noises in Malaysia. It truly was a delight to have dined at yoko and we will definitely be back!

Ordered the Set Menu for 2, asked for their prettiest cocktail. Got a wine glass with lemon in it. Whatever. Food was absolutely below average. Minced noodles as a meal? Cabbage as an entree? What’s going on here. Eventually didn’t want to wait for the remainder of the food so asked for the rest to takeaway. We had a chicken dish and dessert to go, when we got home we checked the bag and we had literally a box of chicken and a random box of cabbage packed…. No dessert… What a waste of $200. Staff were good though. Don’t blame them. It’s on the chefs and owners on this one.

My husband and I dined at Yoko for our first wedding anniversary and 10 year relationship anniversary. It's definitely the perfect place for a special occasion. We were given a table right on the boardwalk with a beautiful view of the Story Bridge. The food was so delicious, especially the swordfish which melted in our mouths! The service was great too and the waitress informed us that majority of the menu was gluten free for my coeliac husband. Some things weren't but could easily be adapted. Amazing, memorable night.

Tasty fusion Japanese fine dining. We had a set lunch Yoko Feast for $95 per person. Grilled Edamame is tasty, umami. The ocean trout wasabi citrus with pickled radish sheets was fantastic, very fresh and yummy. Karaage is not the most juicy one but soft inside and crunchy outside, the batter was curry flavoured, special. Wagyu strip loin was tender and juicy, perfectly cooked. I loved the matcha ice cream mochi with cream. Overall food is great and good portion. It was a bit pricy. Next to the water the view is nice, relaxing atmosphere

Had the most amazing dinner this Sunday at Yoko. My husband and I were in Brisbane for the weekend and picked out Yoko at random for dinner. And we are so glad we did. The whole atmosphere and view overlooking the river is brilliant, the service amazing, helpful and friendly. We were suggested to try the Izakaya feast. The only problem with that was we were looking for a halal friendly option and they went above and beyond to make suitable pescetarian substitutions to the tasting menu. Class act! And menu itself! The quality was outstanding, every single dish delivered! The miso eggplant blew my socks off, th kingfish sashimi, the soft shell crab…and the prawns! The flavour profiles, the subtle heat… enjoyed it all. And tha quantity? We were stuffed. We honestly hit a point where I threatened to leave if another plate came out. I would a 100% recommend this place for a night out. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner and if we ever come to Brisbane will definitely visit.

Booked a birthday here. From the moment I arrived at the restaurant, I felt the warm reception of the waiter. The food level is high and delicious. The night view is also very good, with a view of the city. The whole dinner was relaxing. Recommended.

Yoko Dining was bustling with diners on a Tuesday night! We sat in the outdoor area and the view of the story bridge and Eagle St pier was spectacular. Even though they were busy, the service was top notch! All the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the food as well. Our favourites were: The kingfish and ocean trout sashimi Wagyu steak Duck fried rice. Being a Japanese fusion, the flavours are more Chinese than Japanese. The sauces in some of the dishes were too salty, and that overpowered the cleaness of the fresh ingredients. Overall it was a very lovely night out. Would recommend this place.

Found a last minute booking at 8pm on a Saturday night and this place is happening! With funky disco tunes and the most vivacious waitress, Carina, for someone dining alone I had an incredible experience Generous portions in the set menu, to the point where I couldn’t finish, and well priced for the quality and variety. Will definitely be back soon!

Yoko Dining surpassed expectations! Each dish, a flavor dance. Warm service, culinary bliss. Can't wait to savor Yoko's delights again! Highly recommended for foodies! 👌🍣

  • 5/5 Lindsay S. 5 months ago on Google
Could not fault the place. We ordered the miso glazed eggplant, softshell crab, waygu, duck fried rice and the chicken karagge. Everything was delicious and it was enough food for us. We also had the fried bread dessert which they brought with a candle and sang happy birthday for my partner! The views of the story bridge in the outdoor seating area are beautiful. We also had 2 cocktails which were delicious and not sweet and sickly atall.

  • 5/5 Jacky C. 6 months ago on Google
Excellent Japanese fusion dishes which made excellent use of citrus and acids to cut through the richness of fatty seafood and beef dishes. The caramel panna cotta was boldy flavored with a mix of salty and sweet and superbly executed. Atmosphere was a bit on the noisy side but to be expected in this part of town.

Fabulous dining experience! Can’t wait to return. Staff were all lovely but a shout out to Alex, he was super helpful with the menu, and we had a great chat with him. Sashimi platter was to die for, delicious selection of food. Inside seating gives you kitchen views and some views of the story bridge. Great vibe.

Georgia our waitress was amazing and her food knowledge was impressive. She chose well for us. We tried to tip her at the end but the cashier didn't add the tip to the bill. Anyway a very good experience and will be back.

Very under whelming experience. Especially having paid $95 per person. We have high expectation. Food is ordinary, no “wow” factor. Noisy and hot ambient. Warm tap water tasted yuck, I am sure chilled tap water won’t cost you much. Have to wave a few times to get attention from the waitresses even before the restaurant was busy. We felt unwelcome. Three other dishes were stacked on our table before we could finish the first one. My partner and I felt very uninviting and it seemed to be a hint that we had to finish our food quickly and get out of the restaurant as soon as we can. Since when does steam bokchoi with shiitake XO sauce is considered in Tokyo dining? Chinatown dining is more like it. Market fish with yuzu miso. It sounds interesting but the actual flavour was strange. Has this dish ever been tasted by the chef for approval before releasing it on the menu? To be frank, the fish tasted better without the sauce. Finally, it took a long time for us to get our desserts. The overall experience was very disappointing and we will not recommend this place to our friends or family to dine.

My husband and I went for dinner for his birthday and look forward to returning. We ordered the Yoko Feast and some cocktails and everything was delicious! The prawns, edamame and coral trout were among our favourite. Food came out in a very timely manner, we were left feeling very full and just enjoyed the entire experience. Our waitress, Georgia, was extremely attentive and lovely!

We recently celebrated my birthday at Yoko and the experience was absolutely wonderful! The team at Yoko went the extra mile to make you feel welcome and to cater to any additional requirements! The food was delicious, my partner and I shared the banquet which provided a wide variety of different dishes! Yoko is definitely one to go onto your list of must visits in Brisbane! We look forward to dining here again soon!

Got in there and were seated at a super wobbly table. Tried to tighten ourselves but no luck. Michael was our server and he went above and beyond to physically bring us a new table. He was also very attentive all night. Food was phenomenal, as were the cocktails. Special mention the ocean trout, eggplant and the slushie cocktail. Will definitely be back!

Nice view, good service, good food, a little pricey so better for more special occasions if you're having a meal, otherwise just going here for a drink and then having some edamame snack is nice too.

Loved dining at Yoko ! The view and the table we booked outside had a beautiful view of the bridge, city and river. The service was fast and attentive and our waitress was so lovely. Honestly it’s what makes this a higher star review. I loved how she took her time to explain the sake/food pairing, was patient and also let us sample them beforehand. There was also an instance where we found something in my friends cocktail and the waitstaff replaced it instantly ASAP. The food itself was delicious but the highlight was definitely the Wagyu Scotch steak MB 8 350g. If you were to try anything here it needs to be this! We also enjoyed the kingfish, scallops, karaage chicken, soft shell crab and the cocktails. For the dessert, the miso caramel soft serve was good but nothing so fancy. The fried cake was interestingly different and had very strong boozy berries that accompany it haha. Thank you Yoko !

Our experience was amazing from start to finish. My friend and I dined on a Tuesday evening. The lovely hostess greeted us so nicely and made us feel welcome from the start. I can’t remember our waiter’s name but he was amazing (I remember he’s from Canada tho haha). He knew his stuff, recommended some dishes to us, and was up for a chat. & then the FOOD. Wow. Absolutely divine.

Always love going to Yoko, my favourite dinner spot in the city! Located on Howard Smith Wharves, so beautiful setting. Food is always amazing and reasonably priced, two set menu options for different budgets. Service is always amazing, floor manager Georgia is great and the staff always seem happy. Would recommend dinner or lunch for special occasions or casual nibbles and drinks very versatile environment.

As a group of five, we went to Yoko Dining celebrate our friend’s birthday. Our birthday girl was thrilled with everything and so were the others. Everyone thanked me for finding such an awesome place to celebrate her birthday. I knew it would be good. My husband and I have been many times for our wedding anniversary, other special occasions and it’s our favourite place to take international guests. Have never been let down. The food, the service, the atmosphere and the location, everything is fantastic!

It is my first time having dinner with couple friends. We choose $65set menu. It start with great service and nice dishes until to the last two dishes: A whole bowl of chopped cabbage with no flavour and chicken not nice either. So disappointing with those two dishes, shocked 😳 Soft serve: Mocha one is ok, not the lemon sour one (not sure what’s that, very sour) Will not recommend to any other friends

Fantastic dining experience. We came here late on a Thursday night and were met with terrific service and food. The atmosphere was lively and views of the river spectacular. We ordered the Yoko feast and were extremely well fed. I am a vegan and they put together a vegan set menu which had more food than I could possibly eat!

Had dinner here Thursday 7th September, we messed up our bookings that night for dinner, they were very accomodating and luckily for us had space. The sake tasting flight was a great way to start, then wine list was extensive with lots of food friendly options. Second time I’ve been here and everything on the menu is exceptional. Staff are great with questions and recommendations. Do it!
