I don't recommend ordering from this company. I received gift cards, so used the service, but wouldn't choose to order from them otherwise. Multiple out of stock items the day of delivery with both orders, although the customer service was very good. Also received a half-serve of a meal accidentally. The food itself is very expensive (sometimes outrageously so) for the quality & portion size. I've enjoyed fewer than half of the meals I've tried. One would be better off buying the various brands of fresh meals from Coles/Woolies, or ordering in from UberEats, and freezing them - it would be cheaper, bigger portions, and tastier.

Received my first delivery yesterday. Had the lamb salad for lunch today and wow! Super fresh and so tasty. I am surprised but am looking forward to trying more! I never thought a prepared meal could be so fresh and tasty.

The menu is broad and covers a variety of cuisines to suit all tastes. The food itself is of high quality and well-cooked. I particularly liked the curry sauces. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were very reasonable. They delivered when they said they would and because the meals are pre-frozen they are very easy to prepare and you can eat them anytime at your convenience. On the whole an enjoyable experience and I will certainly be using this service again.

We were given a voucher to try this service as I recently had a baby and just don’t have time to cook. The ordering was super easy, everything arrived next day in a cool box. We have now tried few meals and they taste great. I love how easy it is as all meals stay in the freezer till I need them. I just simply make a side and dinner is good to go for my husband and I. It might be good to have few smaller kid friendly meals too, as I have a toddler as well and would be fab to have those just in case meals for her in the freezer that taste great and quality made. Overall I’m very happy with the service and would recommend it.

Very disappointing service experience after an order I placed went undelivered for 3 business days (having only placed and order for 3 days worth of meals). I called the company on a daily basis to check on the order after the delivery date had passed, only to be promised it would be delivered the next day which didn’t not occur. Only positive experience was talking with customer representative, Kelly, who did her very best to provide the service promised and was communicative throughout. I won’t be using this service again and would not recommend.

Generally not a fan of ready made but these all taste home made, all delicious. Chocolate pudding you heat up is dangerously good!

I have read the previous reviews, having previously purchased from Gourmet Dinner Service - Dinners For Two we have been very satisfied. The quality of our meals and the portion size has been very good. We have had no issues with delivers and I have just submitted another order. I recommend giving them a try.

Gourmet Dinner Service is our #1 choice for absolutely delicious, ready-made meals that you can pull out of the freezer after a busy day. The family loves them, I love them, and we have been known to entertain at Christmas and Easter with their amazing food (shhhh). Gourmet dinner service is Dietlicious. Really disappointed Because I have tried Dietlicious before and I didn’t like them I didn’t realise they were the same company and nowhere on their website is this disclosed. They are all frozen meals, not fresh. It’s very cheap like $12 a meal.

The delivery was turned up 24 hours later melted ice and uneatable mushy watery food in containers. No communication on the day whether perishable food were where about or delay or nothing. Email sent to GDS and customer service called back next day but did not warn me not to consume the food if turned up. Their courier response was they delivered per instruction of GDS. If some elder or out of hospital patients eat the food without knowing the safety, could have easily died of food poisoning. Food and safety complaince should be conducted from leaving the GDS to the customer. Cannot comment on the quality of food because I didn't even take another risk.

Received A gift voucher as a gift after having twin babies and this has been a lifesaver. Very good value, good sized meals. Delivered on schedule and in great packaging with helpful cooking instructions on labels. Great gift for new parents!

We ordered some dinners for our daughter in Canberra, as her husband was ill in hospital and she had her own business to run. I have to say that she was delighted with the food and especially the thick soups! It was great to be able to order Gluten and Dairy free meals for the little family. Thank you so much for the wonderful service.

I was hesitant about using 'ready meals' but these are a world apart. The ingredients are impressive and there's no nasties. The meals we have had so far have been really tasty, and portion size is generous too - especially with the family size dinners. I have the tiniest freezer for a family of 2 adults and 2 teenage boys, but will be keeping a few GDS meals in there from now on for those days when I want a break from cooking. So happy I gave this a go.

The entire process from ordering - to delivery - to eating is incredibly easy and the food is of a standard that I have not found in any other prepacked food. I have used Gourmet Dinner Service since a friend gifted me a hamper package. It is excellent quality food and very reasonable. I will continue to order to supplement my own cooking on nights when I work late. I take the meals out of the freezer and put them into the fridge overnight and then the kids heat them up in the oven in preparation for dinner. Superb quality service. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys quality ingredients in their food.
