I always love coming to SASH as I know my little ones will be taken care of to the highest standard. No matter what time it is or what the issue is, we're always treated with respect and I really appreciate that. I had to continuously take in my beautiful quail Munroe while she was sick and they were always friendly and happy to help, no matter how small the issue was. When I had to make the hard decision to let her go, they treated her with kindness and dignity. They also gave me as much time as I needed to spend my last few moments with her which I will always be very grateful for. Thank you for looking after all of my sweet friends and for giving them the best care possible ❤

SASH is extremely professional & knowledgeable. After just losing a dog for no good reason at a horrible vet a couple of weeks ago when they asked to have her overnight. We have been having a lot of trouble trusting who to get care from & leaving our youngest somewhere without us. Just from a consult with Dr Richard & the small interactions we had with the door greeter & the nurse that carried our dog out of the car (as he is unable to walk), it made me feel confident that we could trust the team at SASH to give him the best care & that he would be safe staying there for scans that day & for his up coming surgery where he will be spending a few days there. It's not always just about the best medical care for the animals, but also how they look after the owners to make them feel comfortable as well. Well worth the 10 hour round trip to be here & the weeks of staying here in the mean time, to have the piece of mind that he is getting the best care he could get,

The team at SASH are just wonderful and so kind, I really recommend them. The Avian team, including Dr Natasha, Dr Olivia, all the nurses and the entire emergency team took such beautiful care of my Sebastian. They were so incredibly kind to me when it became clear he unfortunately wasn’t going to make it. I absolutely recommend them for your birds and all loved pets as the entire team are so caring. I’ve had some really sad experiences with vets before and can absolutely confirm the SASH team go above and beyond to look after for your pets and do everything they can for them.

We take our dog to SASH a couple of times a year for blood donation. The process is so smooth and they treat our fur baby as if he were their own! You can tell that they really do love all animals that come through the door! The vets, nurses and receptionists are lovely, and we really cant fault them on anything ☺️

Our dog was diagnosed with cancer and the vets and specialists at this place handled it with total professionalism and compassion. They made it easy to understand what we can do and were open to combining chemotherapy with natural remedies and diet Super expensive!!! But that’s a choice we have to treat our dog,,,, plus he’s a Great Dane and so of course the price matches the size of the dog During COVID lockdown and we are restricted in how we get him in and out of the vet They said they would call to update us on progress and true to their commitment every single time they were on time Very very impressed with their communication Very expensive but I think I said that before I can certainly recommend this place for the pets you love Thanks to the staff and vets Great stuff

I was so worried about him not only because he’s quite sick but also he is easily get stressed to unknown environment and people. But Dr Sophia gave me update on daily basis, I felt much relieved after talking to her as she is such caring and knowledgeable doctor. After 4 nights at SASH my baby finally able to go back home and his situation is getting much better! Thanks again!

The staff at SASH are outstanding. Our beloved cat Mauii presented today in critical condition with visible organ failure, pneumonia and a combination of other extremely serious and cascading ailments. We have some limited veterinarian experience and observed that the team who attended Mauii were accurate in all their diagnosis, despite having no access to his complicated history at the time. Due to the nature of his condition, his advanced age and his considerable discomfort, it was necessary to euthanize Mauii, as the seriousness of his condition left no practical alternative. The Doctor we spoke with was skilled and helpful. His advice and demeanor was welcome and valued for such a difficult moment. The process was well handled by all the staff we spoke with, including reception and triage staff. The SASH reception facility was clean, well equipped with limited onsite parking - and a snack dispenser & coffee machine for those waiting. We would be confident bringing our other pets in for emergency treatment here in future should it be necessary. SASH also arranged for the collection and cremation of our feline companion's remains via 'Petrest'. Many thanks.

I chose to take my pet rat to the exotic vet that they have at SASH, I saw Dr Melinda. The nurses, Vet and other staff were the most wonderful and caring people to go through this experience with. My rat was a senior rat and very sick and it was my time to say goodbye to him. They gave him the best care and were super up front about my options. They let me have all the time I could with him and even let me wait in a consult room for my mum who wanted to come say goodbye with me. They were so lovely and caring as I was such a mess, I loved my rat so so much. They let me sit with him through the whole process and even helped me organise the cremation, as well as offering to make a card with a paw print for me. They let me have all the time I needed to recover and let me take take their tissue box home which I used up in the car. I would definitely take any future pets of mine here.

The staff at SASH are wonderful. Our beloved Ruby was being taken care of by Dr Courtney Ludwig for an autoimmune disease and was doing very well. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago, Ruby presented with kidney failure and was admitted to hospital. She received the best care and treatment any pet owner could want. Not only was she treated with superior professional knowledge, but she was also, above all, treated with dignity and love. During Ruby's stay in hospital, I was kept informed regularly of her condition and advised accordingly. All the vets, nurses and administration staff were always mindful of our feelings and the whole process of euthanizing Ruby was carried out with dignity and respect. We were able to spend as much time as we wished with her before she passed away. Thank you to everyone at SASH for taking care of our Ruby when she needed it most.

From the moment we walked into SASH, I knew it was going to be a wonderful experience! We were greeted at the door by am extremely helpful and caring staff member and taken to where we had to go to see Dr Janet. Dr Janet was amazing, caring, compassionate, understanding, thorough and professional. Such great care was taken of our chicken, Blackie. Upon fixing up the bill, the staff at the accounts desk were equally as lovely! The cost of the services were extremely fair. I would be more than happy to recommend anyone to visit SASH. Blackie is now home & has found the Strawberry patch, so she's happy! Thank you to the entire SASH team, you are all amazing!

When our bird Max was very sick our vet recommended we take him to see Dr Melinda Cowan who specialises in avian veterinary. Our guy was very sick with serious injuries. With special care and around the clock attention our guy was back to himself after a couple of weeks at SASH. The staff here are amazing. From the ladies at the front desk, the doctors and the nurses we really appreciate the care and attention Max received. With daily phone call updates, photos and videos while Max was in their care, it eased our minds. Thank you very much Dr Melinda, Dr Janet, Dr Natalia and all the nurses who helped our guy get back to full health.

My puppy live in this hospital two night due to eating something wrong, the medicine they used cause my poor puppy skin inflammation!Their nurse did not clean for him in time, then the inflammation become seriously! They just used a common situation to all dogs as an excuse! If someone need go to this hospital, hope you won’t experience the same! But I really hope their nurse should pay more attention to all little patients. They are our family member! My puppy is only one poor puppy who cannot speak out, we take him to your hospital because we trust you! But now, we are really disappointed!

My review is based around the staff, as it's quite clear SASH is amazing at treating our beloved pets. The staff made me feel comfortable and confident in their ability from the start. We live far away, so when we had to leave our beautiful dog Nala for a few days, it was difficult. Staff kept in contact with regular updates and always gave the impression they really cared. I've had several pets in my life and have had dealings with vets from around the world as I've lived in several countries, never have I come across a vet so committed to helping my loved one as well as putting my mind at ease with their professionalism. Thank you, SASH. Nala thanks you too.

Sadly it appears that SASH has had a lot of experience in treating animals with cancer, because everything has been so efficient. I cannot find a single fault. The information provided was timely, thorough and personalised. The online consent forms are convenient. The staff were absolutely incredible. So kind, compassionate and friendly. Best experience for the worst situation.

Great vet with professional staffs. My cat and rabbit were looked-after well. I really like the cat waiting area, my cat felt calm and safe when I put her into those little slots behind the curtain. Great design for anxious cats.

Dr Phil Brain at SASH vets in North Ryde was Panda’s cardiologist: he and his team are truly outstanding. Unfortunately our young Panda had severe heart disease which led to congestive heart failure. Dr Brain’s care, compassion and treatment options gave Panda a wonderful quality of life, right to the end. And Panda certainly made the most of each day. Dr Brain was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns we had and guided Panda and our family through this difficult path, providing above-and-beyond support throughout. Thank you Dr Brain for your excellent care of our beloved family member, for your expert advice and your support. With utmost gratitude and appreciation from Panda’s family.🙏🏼

Exceptional Care and Expertise for Our Beloved Dachshund Henry. Our experience with SASH Emergency Small Animal Hospital and Dr. Laura McLeay was nothing short of extraordinary. When our miniature dachshund, Henry, suddenly developed a severe case of IVDD, we were in a state of panic. We rushed him to SASH, where Dr. McLeay quickly assessed the situation and recommended emergency surgery. From the moment we stepped foot in the hospital, Dr. McLeay's compassion and professionalism were evident. She patiently listened to our concerns and explained the procedure in a way that reassured us during this stressful time. We were particularly grateful for her frequent updates throughout the week that Henry spent in the hospital. Her daily updates gave us peace of mind and helped us feel connected to Henry's progress. Dr. McLeay's surgical skills and expertise were truly impressive. She performed the emergency surgery with utmost precision and skill, ensuring Henry received the best possible care. Under her watchful eye, our precious pup recovered remarkably well and is now back to his lively self. What sets Dr. McLeay apart is her genuine care and dedication to her patients. She went above and beyond to ensure Henry's comfort and well-being. She took the time to answer all our questions, address our concerns, and provided us with valuable guidance for Henry's ongoing care. The entire staff at SASH Emergency Small Animal Hospital was also outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and efficient. The facility itself is well-equipped and maintained to the highest standards. We cannot express our gratitude enough to Dr. Laura McLeay and the team at SASH. They saved our beloved Henry and provided exceptional care every step of the way. If you ever find yourself in need of emergency veterinary services, we wholeheartedly recommend SASH and Dr. McLeay. They are truly amazing, caring professionals who are dedicated to the well-being of our furry family members. We are also fortunate to have Dr. Barry Cherno at SASH overseeing Henry's ongoing physiotherapy. Dr. Cherno's dedication and expertise have been instrumental in Henry's rehabilitation journey. He has a deep understanding of the unique needs of our furry friends and tailors Henry's therapy sessions accordingly. Dr. Cherno's compassionate approach and wealth of knowledge make each session not only beneficial but also enjoyable for Henry. We are grateful to have such a caring and skilled professional like Dr. Cherno on our team, ensuring Henry's continued recovery and well-being. Thank you, Dr. Laura McLeay, Dr Barry Cherno and the entire SASH team for your exceptional care and for giving us more precious moments with our beloved Henry.

Our 7 yr old miniature schnauzer required a preventative gallbladder removal and Dr Tristram Bennett was so clear and thorough with his explanations. His pre and post operative care was second to none. When our doggy was coming out of surgery we discovered a PDA heart murmur in our 12 week old puppy and flagged it with Dr Tristram, who spoke to Dr Phil Brain who managed to find the time (given it was time critical) to slot us in for a consult when we collected our dog post surgery. Dr. Tristram was luckily able to slot us in for surgery the next day due to another PDA being performed the same day. Dr Phil Brain was extremely helpful and clear with explaining what it was, what the risks were and how to fix it. Dr Tristram Bennett was so kind. His pre and post surgery communication was second to none. His care and nature dealing with not only our 7yr old Miniature Schnauzer but also our 12 week old miniature schnauzer put them and us at ease! Would highly recommend the whole team, the nurses, the reception team who deal with the claims for insurance, the internal medicine team all of the team we dealt with were amazing, loved and doted on our puppies throughout their stay. We couldn’t be more happy with their results. Because of their size we were recommended to put them in tshirts, and it was the best recommendation. They have left all their wounds alone, they have been in good spirits with an appropriate amount of pain relief. Thank you to the team! We really appreciate you!

SASH have saved my beautiful heart failure dog on two occasions now, I can't thank their emergency, ICU and medicine departments enough! Last visit he spent nearly a whole day in an oxygen cage and may not have made it without SASH's facilities in their ICU department. Lupin is on borrowed time now but we get to make the most of every day thanks to SASH's gold standard patient care. Loved seeing some fear free handling techniques applied when the vets and nurses were caring for my baby - something that is very important to myself and my regular vet (and of course, my anxious pets). Reception are always very professional and caring too. Worth every penny, especially as they're open when most vets are closed. Wouldn't take my babies anywhere else for an emergency or specialist care. My puppy Kira is also coming in for a special ophthalmology surgery soon too and I'm sure it will be an equally pleasant experience.

We took our man, border collie there after he had been referred there following been run over. They were were very informative and responsive called when they said they could etc. considering his injury's recommended surgery althought understood our circumstances and and went through all our options and made us feel alot better and comfortable with our decision it's only been a week since the accident but he has been doing amazing and improving every day doing everything they said he would do, if we and him keep doing the right thing ! Dr Steve and Dr Ingrid we cannot thank you enough you made this experience alot easier and cannot thank you both enough if it weren't for you both might be a different story ! Although expensive I do believe in you get what you pay for and in this instance I had no issues and would recommend to anyone in the same situation!

Have only been here once to pick up a friend's pet. Staff seem nice. Animals look to be well treated. Signage for parking, which is divided into three areas, needs to include, at the entrance to the complex, a map of all the parking areas and SASH buildings. Signage from the main entrance to the separate building where you pick up your animal is non-existent.

Amazing 🙏 They took care of our Great Dane 14 month old. She had a toe removed and then spine surgery, they were so Caring and wonderful. It’s hard anyway with hosing our pets and in hard times of medical need, they made it just that easier to cope with. The staff just love the animals as like their own pets. When we collected our Dane Truffles they were all so sad and all said bye when we left. These guys try very hard. They always get many many patients and they’re always are sensitive to the owners stress and needs, and still smile in sometimes hard moments and in seeing sick pets everyday. We lost our Harlequin 7 year Great Dane a few months ago, he only visited once but when they heard, they emailed and called us to console us. We know taking care of pets and their health costs will always be high, I agree it can get expensive but I’d rather pay more and know they are getting the best care and chance they can get. I recommend this hospital 100%…! Thank you SASH in our bad and good times 🙏 this review was for our late Huxley Great Dane 🙏🙏🙏 we miss him dearly but I know he had the best care possible…
