Wylie’s
Baths
is
so
good,
they
wrote
a
book
about
it
that
you
can
buy
from
the
kiosk.
Despite
the
Edwardian
features
of
a
very
British
approach
to
bathing,
including
the
wooden
structures
housing
a
popular
café,
excellent
change
rooms
and
more,
the
pool
itself
is
one
of
the
more
natural
environments
you
can
find
in
NSW.
In
other
words,
it’s
a
‘living
pool’
with
marine
life,
a
natural
rock
bottom,
octopus,
fish,
sea
urchins,
and
more.
Tread
carefully
in
this
relatively
shallow
pool
as
you
take
in
the
spectacular
views:
Coogee
Beach
in
one
direction
and
Wedding
Cake
Island
out
to
sea.
Even
looking
back
towards
the
entrance
is
pleasurable,
as
the
whole
place
feels
like
you
are
in
some
retro
time
warp
of
an
endless
summer
captured
in
old
paintings
or
photographs.
We
hadn’t
been
here
in
decades
and
felt
a
bit
silly
about
that
after
finally
returning.
This
is
an
archetypal
Australian
pool
experience
and
is
highly
recommended.
