Ok so I’m not usually a sports person but NOW IM A SPORTS PERSON. Urban Rec brings the vibessssss. I’ve never seen a more engaging and friendly community (especially in sports that can become overly competitive) before. The hosts are absolutely gorgeous - Sam is honestly one of a KIND. There’s the occasional beer, new friends, and guaranteed laughs every 👏 bloody 👏 time 👏 also I have a weird need to get all the fun points so it kinda forces me into a killer mood every time I’m there 😎

Searching for the best recreational sports league in Sydney? Look no further than Urban Rec! I played in a multi-sports league in North Sydney and it was a tonne of fun every week. Incredibly social and just a great time.

I love Urban Rec! I did the Sunday comp for touch football recently with a friends. It was such a good way to get out and about meeting people and keeping active. The managers were great and so welcoming. It was clear from the start that they were all about the fun, which made us all feel safe and wanting to come back. Highly recommend!

Single day netball tournament. Was excellent fun. Well organised. Well informed. Competitive if you wanted to be and social if you didn't. Hosts and organisers were friendly and at the exact level they needed to be

Urban Rec is amazing! I have done a few netball competitions with them and my friends and I have loved it! The competitions are super relaxed and fun and a great way to get out and about and meet new people! I would highly recommend!

Ryan, at Urban Rec is fantastic. He is quick to respond, great at solving problems, and really 'went to bat' for me. Ryan also comes over as a person who both cares about the work he is doing, and the people he comes into contact with. His service and help was outstanding.

Have been playing with Urban Rec for 4 years now and absolutely love it! Everyone is here for a good time and the games are super accessible for people at all levels. I started as a total novice and didn't feel out of place :)

I start playing Touch Footy with Urban Rec 3 years ago and since then I have meet a whole bunch of awesome people. I now play multiple different sports through the week with different teams and enjoy them all! Urban Rec has not only provided me with a fun way to keep fit but some incredible long lasting friendships. I highly recommend you join ASAP!

Urban Rec is a great way to meet new people, get some exercise and most of all, have fun. I signed up as an individual for a Multisport league a few weeks ago and have already joined another league. The hosts and the entire crew are amazing and make the complete experience stress free. I would Highly recommend anyone thinking about it to join and experience it for themselves.

This is our second season in a row for social netball at a new venue. The organisers are nothing but accomodating and are (for Good reason) the fun police aka always making sure it’s a great environment! It’s great value, and a great way to break up the week! We’re looking forward to season 3!

I absolutely love Urban Rec. I joined this year and have met some great people who just want to have fun. It’s great if you want to play without committing to training and weekend sport, it’s casual and helps you keep fit. I recommend it to all my friends!

Life honestly doesn't get better. We have a work team and Urban Rec features in our onboarding documentation, in our end of year awards and generally in our hearts every day. The staff are absolutely top tier and enable us to have fun every. single. time.

The best decision I've made this year was to play with Urban Rec! There's so much variety with the sports, and the staff are super friendly, fun and fair.

I've played multiple different sports with Urban Rec and all have been an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I've been in teams that have come first and last in different seasons, but each game has been super fun, every player has been great-sports and the refs and organisers have been super friendly. Definitely recommend people to join up for some fun casual sport!

As the organiser of the friendship group - Urban Rec is the one social sport comp that has actually made being team captain easier! Unless it is Urban Rec, social sport captaincy can be someone else's job. Love your work guys!

Playing social sport with Urban Rec in particular basketball has been a very fun/exciting experience for me. I so wish I had found out about it when I first moved to Sydney 10 years ago when it first launched here in Australia. It is something I really look forward to each week especially after a stressful day at work. The staff are also very supportive and encouraging. It is a super positive & uplifting environment and is a great way to meet new people and make new friends. If you have never signed up to play sport with Urban Rec, I highly recommend it! The best thing about it is you don’t have to be a superstar player to join, it’s open to all levels and truly is the best place to be if you want to have fun!

I’ve been playing dodge for a few years now and usually I don’t bring my kids and when I do I feel really comfortable to focus on playing and having fun as I know their safe in the side lines and among good people. Last night, my 7yo came with me as I had no option for sitters and as a single mummy I still need some social sporting life! Safe to say, my 7yo enjoyed hanging out with the host James, he assigned her the mini ref and told her what to do (I also asked him it’s ok for her to just sit and watch and don’t need to talk to her as she can talk to you for hours 😅) it was such a fun night where I really didn’t need to worry about her and just focus on playing. James also made our game interesting versing a new team to the comp and more fun. I came to this team a few years ago not knowing anyone and I’ve made some good connections with people in and out of my team. As a single parent i find it hard when I have no sitters to cancel things at the last min, but knowing how inclusive it is at games and chilled, I don’t have to worry about it and can bring her along. Everyone just gets it! Here she is explaining to the new team with James the rules 💜 And her holding our trophy that we won rom last seasons comp!
