Our stay at Mountview exceeded all expectations. My husband & I took our three children (7, 3, 1) and it perfectly catered to our needs. It was a very comfortable holiday to take 3 litles on. The kids loved watching the sunsets, checking the chook pen for eggs, cuddling up in front of the fire, walking around the farm, observing the cows and of course, the tractor ride Ian took them on. We don't live too far away and thought it wouldn't be much different to normal life for them, but it was. The home gives off such a calming, warm, cozy and loving vibe...you feel more relaxed just being there. I think we all really loved having a table in the kitchen - who would have thought that would be such a game changer for us! Katrina & Ian did anything and everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, and are great at giving you privacy. The camping area was gorgeous, the barn has a TV (so that kids can get a bit of screen time if they're driving you up the wall, or to watch the State Of Origin on!) a fridge, sink, pool table, dart board, large table with lots of chairs and most of all it is a fantastic place for the campers to hang out if the weather is wet. We had a quick look at the toilet and shower provided and they are beautiful!! I've never seen camping facilities like it. Next time it'll be a hard choice between the house or camping. Spotted Mountview on the road to Brisbane from WA. Planned on staying one night, ended staying two. The camp site was beautiful and very relaxing. The facilities were top notch and Katrina made us feel most welcome.

Great place to stay. We took our caravan and there is plenty of room there. Awesome spot for a sunset, fire pit and cold frosty! Katrina the host was super nice, and there is a great little barn to play some pool, darts, tv or just use their bar there.

We had a small getaway and loved it. The homestead is a fantastic place to stay and unwind, Ian and Katrina have done a great job and are the perfect hosts. Will definitely be going back

We Had a great stay. Ian and Katrina are wonderful people and looked out for us. Our son loved it so much, walking around and seeing the animals! Lovely area and not far from town centre. Definitely going to stay again.

It was exactly as described. House is stunning and property is beautiful with perfect location. Camping facilities were beautiful and very clean. I would highly recommend this place for a stay and we will be back again.

Highly recommend! We had a great weekend and the owners were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The kids loved feeding the chickens and the three-week-old baby calf and roasting marshmallows on the outdoor fire place and checking out the farm tractors. The farm cottage was great for our group and was super clean and perfectly set up for the cold weather. The kitchen is huge and the provided breakfast was great! Loved it!

The location can make your stay, but so can the people, Katrina and Ian were amazing hosts and made us feel so incredibly welcome. The cottage was gorgeous and the sunsets so beautiful. The kids loved the pool table in the fairy light filled barn and Rodrigro the gorgeous 4 week old calf was a hit, with my little boy wanting to stay longer with his new little cow friend. Katrina and Ian thank you for everything, we loved our stay. 😊

Beautiful homestead with all amenities you could possibly need, and then some. Ian and Katrina are very kind and welcoming hosts who included our 3-year old in their farm activities, much to her delight. Would recommend and we will definitely be back.

Mountview Homestead was an amazing place to stay. Hosts Ian & Katrina were very friendly & accommodating. We stayed with our daughter & her family including a 2 year old who loved being able to watch calves feed & pat them. Such a relaxing & delightful place to stay. Will definitely be back!

We loved it! Katrina and Ian were skilled in hosting our family country getaway. The house and surrounds provided a beautiful backdrop for creating precious family memories. The layout of the property allowed for the perfect balance of getting involved in the farm yet plenty of space and privacy to relax amongst ourselves.

Amazing property. Beautiful old Barn with great facilities. We camped with a group in caravans & motorhomes. The host Catrina was very informative and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Great for a Birthday, wedding or any event.
