***Edited*** Had the most disgusting experience with a receptionist yesterday (2nd of August 2023) I explained to her that I haven't been able to get into another doctor and that I urgently need my blood pressure medication and that I'm currently broke and struggling financially... The delightful thing told me to ring around and find a GP who would bulk bill. I'm starting to think a class action needs to be taken as some of the stories I am hearing about people's experiences with this medical practice are horrific. They care more about the dilar than they do for their duty of care to the patients Worst experience I have ever had with a medical centre. The reception staff are wonderful and deal with do much. But making the decision not to bulk bill given the current medical crisis here in Bendigo has been the worst decision yet. The female doctor I have been seeing for two years has no refused to see me due to a non-attendance for an appointment I missed due to being hospital with a kidney stone!!!! Now I am missing out on a medication that causes withdrawal symptoms because she won't do me a prescription!!!! It's so wrong to deny patients vital medication and medical help!

I have been a patient for meany years I remember primary care being in a little old house. I would say in the last 12 month the service from receptionist and some doctors have become Beyond poor, my appointments have been canceled for 5 months straight, attempting to get an appointment on the day is a joke, but this is what is recommended by doctors and receptionist. I call this morning for an appointment on the day and I was told by an unqualified receptionist that I was not eligible for the appointment today. Waiting times for phone calls is between 20 minutes to an hour. I have witness and observed the reception staff not answering phone calls and there will be two reception staff on one phone call or two helping one patient. Pull you fingers out your bum primary care, I think new management is need!

I will continue to go here ONLY because I have the best doctor, have had the best experiences with nurses and such staff and can book online through the HotDoc app. Really dislike having to go in though or having to make a phone call. Staff are extremely rude, unwilling to help, even dare I say uninterested in wanting to help or find a solution. The few times I have been approached by reception staff they have either been passive aggressive, plain out rude or show absolutely zero people skills, what's worse is this is a distinct pattern.

There are very few professions more hostile to customers than a doctor's receptionist. At Bendigo Primary Care Centre they take this to the next level by refusing to take your call altogether! That is unless it's to discuss appointments already booked for the same day; which given you were not allowed to call them about appointments for any later time makes you wonder how you would even have an appointment to cancel in the first place. Now together with washing hands of any responsibility to discuss doctors fees in advance of the day we find a truly outstanding team of their kind. I can only guess there must be awards in the industry for how far you can suppress those who are trying in vain to see a GP.

A nurse at Bendigo Primary Care Centre sent out documents containing incorrect medical information to two external providers in October last year. This was done without my knowledge, and she didn't even notice that I hadn't signed the patient consent. Three times I was told this mistake had been fixed, and three times I found out it hadn't been. The incorrect information spread to five medical services, including two hospitals. If I was in an accident and was taken to one of those hospitals unconscious, I would have been treated for a disease I don't have, with drugs that are dangerous to my actual medical condition, which was left off the documents (!). I am now having to contact each organisation myself, which is very time consuming. I don't even know whether I can chase down every place it has spread to. Who knows when this will come back to bite me.

I have switched 3 doctors in this centre last year in an attempt to find a GP who will at least not talk to me condescendingly and turn me away leaving me out cold and unsupported when my pains are debilitating. No empathy and no patience. Despite clear physical symptoms, I was dismissed as having depression (I have been assessed to not have depression). Today was my last straw. My GP did not record my symptoms in her file and had essentially forgotten about my case. When I attempted to remind her, especially because I was already not feeling well and could not concentrate well, she raised her voice as if I was disobeying her when I simply could not hear her too well. It finally clicked when I mentioned some keywords and she finally remembered what I was talking about. This is not okay and I will not be back. The reception team and doctors don't care about clients or about improving their services. I would suggest go somewhere else if you want GPs who will actually address your health issues.

My doctor is 5 star. The clinic is 1 star with reception palming off phone calls to an answering machine that gives no option to book an appointment just to give your name and number and wait untill 1 is available!!!! So what just wait till one is available and if your at work or away that day too bad.... rubbish clinic

I have been going to this clinic for many years, up until recently I would have given a 5 star review, except now I make an appointment for many weeks in advance due to being booked out, and close to the date I get a SMS to call and reschedule to then be told its a 2 week wait for another appointment. This clinic went from caring about their patients to being money hungry.

They advertise as a practice that will bulk bill for children. Until you get here. Then they say it's up to the practitioners to decide if they will do this. Then their GP Laura Remyn hit us with an $80 bill for removing a bandage. Removing a bandage. $80. From a baby. Where is your conscience Dr Remyn?

$70 for a doctor to tell me not to play sport on a sprained ankle while refusing to refer me to a physio. Numerous other incompetencies and an absolute embarrassment of a GP clinic. Felt like I was being assessed at Christmas Island and having to also pay for it. Bulldoze this clinic.

I called 3 times in one day, and had to hang up each time after 45 minutes as no one answered the phone. If I needed a doctor before, I definitely need one now to handle the stress of waiting and listening to terrible music for all that time. How can a medical practice function if they cannot answer the phone.

Over the last few months I’ve attempted to call many times to book in for an appointment, each call has reached 20 minutes wait time before I’ve had to hang up and try another clinic. I’ve been a patient here for many years, seen many GPs, none that I would ever recommend. I was brushed off for years coming in for symptoms for a condition, laughed at when I was explaining my symptoms, only to be diagnosed with the condition at a different medical clinic. This clinic is awful with disgustingly rude management now. They need to hire more staff and stop trying to save money, I’m sure other people are sick of being on extremely long wait times!!!!

when a person presents himself here with fluid in ankles, abdomen and drinking history you do not dismiss it as diarrhea. Check liver. Just on news about Doctors Gaslighting. Seems everyone is leaving BENDIGO HEALTH CLINICS

Dr. Gidley is amazing and the clinic offers very affordable pricing, a bit cheaper compared to other clinics in Bendigo.

New patient had an appt booked to see GP for several weeks then told unable to see GP anymore right before appt and they are not taking new patients anymore. Seems to be the only thing recepition staff say to patients now at all GP's. Reception staff intolerant and displayed severe lack of empathy and understanding the frustration experienced, caused by not being able to see GP. Receptionist hung up the phone on me without any warning while I was trying to process this frustrating information.

Yesterday I tried to book an appointment for this week and after 10 phone calls was unable to get through to anyone in reception. As an alternative I booked an appointment online through HotDoc, only to receive an email approximately 3 hours after stating that the appointment was not accepted. Absolutely horrendous service. I will not be returning to this clinic.

These people are disgraceful, they say there only taking there regular patients but then ask me how old I am, ??? My doctor is there in office and they refuse to make me an appointment because I attended a different doctor last time, Wth, there is no duty of care whatsoever

Really happy with the doctor I see there (Dr Bovalino is just great). Normally I call and get an appointment (can't book online) and it's all relatively quick and painless but did call once and left a message and it wasn't returned. I think that needs to be tightened up a bit although whenever I'm in they're usually under the pump too. Took a star off for that.

The worst doctor we have ever seen. Dr Saha should be ashamed of herself. They don’t give an option for minus stars.

🫀 It's fine, 10 minute appointments, the doctors don't review your file before you walk in, you get the same service you'd get from a bulk billing practice but you have to pay. It's not cheap (~$80 up front, ~$60 rebate). It is sometimes easier to get in last minute, so maybe it's worth having as a ba...
