Fantastic gym astonishing value for money!! I love the 25m pool and the oasis room and fire and ice, I recommend this gym to anyone and everyone, the staff are always so positive and friendly, the massage chairs are amazing, I love the infrared sauna and the relaxed vibe of the gym, its an amazing place to be a member of! Thanks so much for a fantastic gym experience I’ll be sad to leave when my travel nurse contract is up ! Well done wish there were strand fitness gyms like this nationwide! Lucky Townsville!!!

Hands down the best gym in Townsville and in North Queensland. The new facility in Garbutt is amazing -all new and top of range equipment, great vibes, a crèche, ice bath, infra-red sauna, 50m saltwater pool with 3 lanes, the list goes on.. Friendly and knowledgeable staff with 24hr access makes this place blissful 👌🏽

Excellent customer service from Marley when signing up to new gym. Having been member of many gyms in Townsville it was a pleasure to have someone go out of there way to help. Facilities are excellent and clean and great space. Thanks Again and keep great staff.

This is a great gym, staff very friendly and welcoming. My first time there they showed me around, explained everything and answered all my questions. Great range of classes. Made me feel very welcoming even after I said I was body conscious and encouraged me.

Such a wonderful gym! They have amazing facilities and lots of different equipment. I love using their saunas and the ice bath. They also have classes which I’m yet to try but I’ve heard they are great!

Strand Fitness Central is my gym and is ideal for my whole body fitness. New machines and weights in an open and well planned layout. Excellent facilities and friendly positive staff and trainers. No gym junkie ego lifters, a great place to workout. The new posing studio is excellent!

Best gym in Townsville. All new equipment. Very busy between 4pm and 7pm weekdays. Difficult to find a car space and, equipment can be hard to get on between these hours due the high volume of people.

Great gym, wish I didn’t pay for the vip membership though as every time I go the recovery area is full and apparently I am unable to access the Burdell pool now? A bit sad as this is the reason I paid extra for the vip membership. But other than that I love the gym!

The staff at strand fitness are super friendly and informative. Training with PT Centayne has been so wonderful, and the classes are challenging for all fitness levels with wonderful instructors. The facilities are amazing with a range of equipment, pretty and clean decor and a lovely open space to train in - all that and more with upcoming renovations. Pricing is also super affordable considering everything you get with your membership. The atmosphere is so positive and inviting. Thank you to everyone there for creating a wonderful space for all walks of life to train and reach goals in.

Friendly staff, very clean with great equipment. Kept my interest in going to the gym going on 3 months as opposed to my standard 3 weeks!

Giving 5 stars to trainer Wayne- he has been such a pleasure to train with- specifically the SF60 class on a Wednesday night. He has an enthusiasm that is infectious and really pushes you to do your best through encouraging words and check ins during the session. He also really knows his stuff and I hope to see his face in more of the classes. Thanks Wayne!

Been coming to strand for 5 years now the staff are amazing and friendly. The manager, Charlee at central is the friendliest and most warm welcoming person. Over the year I've seen strand grown and become the best gym in Townsville.

Such a great wellness centre. Hard to stay away when they have everything you need. Cold spa, sauna and all the workout equipment you could imagine. Highly recommend signing up to strand fitness central and be sure you get the VIP access, completely worth it!

I have been absolutely blown away with the quality of all the equipment & buildings, the staff who have helped me follow my fitness goals every step of the way. Definitely the best 3 gyms in Townsville, with amazing swimming pools to warm down after a great session. The fire & ice area of the gym is amazing!! Definitely one of my favourite places to relax. All the staff, trainers, and your peers are really respectful, welcoming, and fun to be around. Lots of different classes to join for all fitness levels. Stand fitness central is still expanding but already feels like a complete package. Can't recommend this one enough.

Join last week and made to feel welcome from when I first entered the door. Marley has been very helpful and welcomes me by name each time I go to the gym. Donnie was my PT instructor for my 2 introduction sessions he is so good that I decided to do ongoing sessions with him. All the staff have been fabulous and the equipment is very modern and plentiful. Would highly recommend anyone Join Strand fitness. They also have 3 locations to suit everyone.
