The Keppel Explorer is at the top of the list for day trips and is great value for money. Incredible and diverse scenery and Scotty is the best Captain and Travel Guide. He knows all the amazing places and we stopped at 5 islands, snorkelling on the reef, exploring caves, enjoying a delicious lunch with a perfect view and swimming with turtles at the most beautiful white sand beach. A day to remember!! Our day trip out with Scott was one of the best experiences I have had in Australia. Scott's knowledge of the Keppel Islands and its history was incredible. We were taken to some of the best snorkelling spots I have ever been to. I have never seen coral like it in any of my travels, you could stay down there for hours. He knew I really wanted to see some sea turtles and we did!! We snorkelled with 2 of them and it was the most incredible experience. Thank you soooo much Scott, we had the most amazing time and will be recommending it to everyone!

Well what can I say, if you could give 10 stars for this experience it would still qualify for 11 stars. From start to finish this is an experience not to be missed. Scott is a brilliant host and covers every detail while not filling you up with the usual tourist operator jargon that wears thin after a while. He is extremely accommodating and goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your time, being there when you have questions or want something then keeping out of the way while you have lunch, swim etc. If you're looking for a top experience with unbelievable scenery and a down to earth operator Scott and Keppel Explorer are the only option

Just WOW! My partner and I were heading down the coast and this was the first stop of the trip. What an amazing start it was! Scotty is an AMAZING tour guide, with so much passion and knowledge about the islands. We picked the perfect day to be out on and in the water. Scotty had plenty of spots to show us with amazing views, relaxing walks and breathtaking snorkeling opportunities. If we are ever back in the area again we wouldn’t hesitate to book this again. Wow, what a fantastic day. Scott really thought of every little detail. Booking online was really easy. Checking in on the day and getting fitted for our wetsuit top and shorts was really easy and quick. We kept these on all day until we returned. Boarding the boat was close by and a simple process with such a small group. Definitely bring a bag that can get wet on the outside as it will be on the floor of the boat and by the end of the day it will be wet. We were on our way in no time and we got super lucky and spotted whales within the first 10mins of our trip, was magnificent. We then headed off to our first snorkelling spot. Scott knows all the great spots. The kids loved this spot. Scott provides the snorkelling gear and flippers, also a noodle for those who need assistance. Getting in and out of the boat is super easy, it’s definitely an adventure day trip not a boating and chill day. We headed off to a few more snorkeling spots before we stopped for lunch. Lunch was delicious, it was a ham or chicken and salad wrap, grapes and strawberries, almonds and apricots and a protein ball, all in a cute obento style lunch box. The kids approved and ate it all. Definitely bring snacks for morning tea if you have children like mine who need to eat every 60mins lol. Bring your own water. No alcoholic drinks needed on this kind of day trip. No room for an esky, pack light and only bring what you need. Scott provided rain jackets to keep the wind off you while in your wet gear, which was perfect. My son was able to get some great drone footage during the day. If you have a go pro definitely bring that too. Hot showers back at the marina were good before we headed home. We are locals and I can’t believe we hadn’t done this day trip before. We will definitely do it again.

Excellent tour, Scott is a very good guide, boat was great for the tour, Nice lunch provided. Keppel Island is a beautiful island to visit, the snorkelling was outstanding.

Amazing adventure! Scotty was a great guide. Loved the small 12 seater boat. We zoomed in and out of the island beaches. Snorkeling was amazing. Saw turtles, sharks, sting rays and such an amazing variety of fish and coral. Walked along amazing beaches. Learned a lot about the Keppels. Blessed with amazing weather and clear water. Highly recommend :)

A brilliant trip, Scotty was the perfect host making the day so special. The snorkelling gear supplied was all in excellent condition.I enjoyed that we were a small group of 12 ,the day was so relaxed with fun and laughter through out the day , snorkelling spots magical, pristine beaches and a beautiful lunch included.I’ll have to go one more time and take an underwater camera because the turtles, fish, coral and clams were excellent. Amazing! The only way I would recommend visiting the great Keppel is with Keppel Explorer. The owners are really attentive, calm and take the organisation of your day at an other level. Don’t hesitate and don’t go with others because you will miss the best of the best. Did the trip with my boy (4 years) and he was so exited to swim with a turtle, fish’s and so much more. Awesome trip on Keppel Explorer. We were lucky and had the perfect weather. Water temp 27 and flat with no waves. Scotty (our captain/guide) took us to a couple of islands and knew where the world class diving spots were. We dived some of the best reef I have ever seen. A nice lunch was provided and Scotty was extremely knowledgeable and ready to answer questioned asked. I have been to Keppel a few times and thought I would try something different by booking Keppel Explorer, I am glad I did and will book again in future

Thank you so much, such an amazing day. Thoroughly recommend this to everyone. What is a visit to Yeppoon of you don't get Scott to take you out for a day of fun and adventure. We felt like we had the ocean, islands and the beaches all to ourselves. We have snorkelled in so many places but this was outstanding. Lunch was great, catered for every one so well and ate on our own private beach. Got to swim with a turtle and so many fish. We will come back to Yeppoon just so we can go on the Keppel Explorer again. Thanks again Scott! Highlight of our trip.

Scotty gave us a fantastic day, 3 snorkelling spots, numerous beach stops, sand dune climb and lovely packed lunch. Nothing was too much trouble - small group. He even shared his drone photos with us.

Friendly local tour guide who knows all the good spots to visit out on the islands including snorkelling, beach combing and walks. He made us feel very welcome and helped us out with the kids snorkelling. The trip across the bay is quick and full of bumps, sea spray and excitement for everyone. Fantastic experience!

We had the most incredible day, island and beach hopping with a legend of a human Scotty who truly wanted everyone on board to have the best experience. We saw some amazing sights and heard a lot of history and fun facts from our guide who seemed to genuinely love what he was doing and passed that enthusiasm onto all of us!
