It was my second time in St. Anton, and I was truly impressed. As the name says, it’s a small luxury boutique hotel that gives a lot of privacy and peace that you never get in busy hotels. The staff were fantastic, and always told us all we needed to know, whether it was about the trails or something else, so there wasn’t a need in going to an information centre. They were always looking for ways to help us and make us laugh. The spa was lovely too, and the breakfasts always had a choice, so it never got boring. If I were to come to St. Anton again, this would surely be the place I’d go to again.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. The details in the rooms and around the hotel are top notch creating an amazing homey atmosphere. The Penz family is super welcoming and makes the hotel feel more like a home rather than a hotel! The breakfast spread is also superb and they offer a locally sourced sausage that I really love! Definitely recommend this place.

One of the prettiest hotels in St Anton and impressively run by a family who have been in hospitality for a very long time. The hotel feels very authentically Austrian, which was something we were looking out for. There is flawless and friendly service, an excellently equipped chic spa with pool, that welcomed children, (during certain hours), as well as heated waterbeds, and saunas. The rooms are cosy but also spacious, which feature traditional decor with all mod cons. Rooms are also clutter-free and extremely clean. Bathrooms are tasteful and spacious with 'his and her' sinks, and enormous baths and showers. The balcony caught the afternoon sun and had a lovely view of the mountains above. Our children couldn't hold themselves back at the breakfast buffet, (possibly us parents as well) which suits a wide range of foreign tastes, including homemade muslei and cereal, lots of fresh fruit, at least 4 bread options, croissants, juices, cold meats and vegetables, as well as warm Austrian sausages, bacon, pancakes, maple syrup and eggs. Afternoon tea, or 'Cake O'clock' as we called it, is from 3:45pm - 5pm and was an added bonus, serving delicious cake as well as a savoury. We promised ourselves that we wouldn't organise our day around 'Cake O'clock', but ended up doing so until we left! When the sun was out, we loved eating outside the pretty front dining area of the hotel. Staff are very attentive and knowledgeable and were really helpful throughout our stay. They picked out all the best attractions to visit and places to eat in lovely At Anton. St Anton itself and surrounding area is full of fantastic outdoor activities, and many of the ski lifts are extremely accessible to those with mobility difficulties. The walks from them are varied in difficulty, so perfect for a family. More elderly members of the family would have plenty of seating options on the mountains, no need to take your own picnic blankets! We think this place is great in summer for young and old, and the mountains and forests are so stunningly beautiful, they make you want to cry. We came here this year to escape the madly hot temperatures further south, and although the weather was changeable, it was still warm enought for t-shirts and shorts at ground level. Would highly recommend.

Best small luxury hotel ever. The rooms are comfortable. The beds sleep wonderfully. The breakfast is fantastic and very extensive. The homemade cakes, cappuccino that you get at 4 pm are delicious. Beautiful wines and snaps at the bar. The Spa is truly heaven on earth after a day of skiing. All employees super nice and helpful. For families and couples the best place to stay in St Anton. Everything is a 10+!

Highly recommend for couples, groups and families. Looking forward to returning. Wonderfully welcoming vibe from the family owners and all the staff. Great facility: lounge and fireplace, bar, breakfast restaurant (with yummy huge buffet and exhaustive coffee (with alternative milk options), pool, saunas, steam room, cold plunge, underground parking, boot room, ski storage or offsite locker vouchers. Spacious comfortable rooms with comfy beds and nice sheets. Perfect location just off the pedestrian walkway, 2min from tons of shops and restaurants, and an easy short walk to the Galzigbahn. Family owners have a great list of recommended restaurants.

If you are planning to go to Sankt Anton, I herewith give my biggest recommendations to Hotel Himmlhof. It is a gem in the mountains. Beautiful hotel in classic Austrian style. Great rooms, amazing spa, pool and saunas. Every morning there is a wonderful hearty and healthy (if you prefer it to be healthy😉) breakfast served in cozy surroundings. And then there is the service and the friendliness - OUTSTANDING. Highest recommendations from our side - WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR STAY AND WE WILL COME BACK IN THE SKISEASON. Thanks for a wonderful week. Big hugs to everyone at Himmlhof❤️

Well I must say this is the definition of a small luxury boutique hotel with a bonus of wonderful family as owners. All family members Margherita, Sebastian, Christian and Julia made me feel at home, all of them very kind, friendly, caring, helpful arranging restaueant reservations or transportation… everything you can think of… hotel is located just 30 seconds walking distance to the town center but at a parallel road besides the main pedestrian district so it is very quite, rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is superb at a picture perfect cosy dining room space. Everything in this hotel is very charming, just picture perfect, it is well understood that every detail is thought of very carefully.. around 4 pm once you come to the hotel delicious tea time bakes ( everyday different variety) is waiting for you… this place makes you feel very welcomed and happy! By the way it is less than 5 minutes walking distance to the ski slopes… the owners even arranged a ski depot place for you to leave your ski equipment or ski boots across from the lift… it is just simply perfect!

We were looking for a White Christmas and skiing adventure tucked into our European vacation and this location and Hotel delivered in spades. The wellness centre in the basement is next level. A heated pool, 3 saunas and an ice bath for post skiing recovery...simply fantastic. The location of the Hotel is superb. Approx 300 metres from the bottom of the major lifts and the ski hire facilities. Abundant restaurants surround the Hotel as well as great shopping. The supermarket is 100 metres from the front door. Everything you need is right next door. We had a great time and this hotel certainly added to our holiday being a great one.

This place is such a special gem I almost don’t want to write a review to keep it a secret! The family hosts are the nicest people and helped with all our needs. My family and my sisters family all stayed with our kids and they ensured all our needs were met from cribs to high chairs. The apres homemade snacks were delicious and the breakfast spread was perfect each morning. Chris made the best cocktails! Our room even had a fire place that was stocked with wood and made for cozy evenings. The pool and sauna amenities are beautiful and have hours for the kids. We will 100 percent be coming back here in the future and can’t thank the Penz family enough for our holiday stay.

This is the best hotel in the world, a true gem - we feel so lucky to have experienced it. Our stay at the Himmlhof hotel was beyond exceptional. Our experience started with standing outside the Himmlhof on a snowy afternoon gazing up at the beautiful, traditional chalet style architecture which was followed up by opening the door, smelling the log fire and being greeted warmly by The Penz family. Their unwavering commitment to hospitality was evident in every aspect of our stay, starting with the delicious breakfast and the morning “hello- what’s the plan today?” to the the cosiest of rooms with plenty of great amenities, to the spa (it’s perfect for an après-ski warm up) to the incredible afternoon snacks by the side of a log fire - not to mention Chris’ delicious cocktails! 🍸 Throughout our stay we felt more like family than guests - they created an atmosphere that we have never experienced before. Before returning to the hotel each afternoon after skiing we said “looking forward to seeing Mum and Dad and Brother Chris when we get back!” 😂 So, if you’re in doubt about where to stay in St Anton - look no further. We already can’t wait to come back. Thank you to the Penz family and all at the Himmlhof for giving us a week we will remember forever ❤️

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Himmelhof in St. Anton for three nights, and it was an experience that truly exceeded our expectations. This hotel is a sanctuary for those looking to unwind and slow down from the hustle and bustle of daily life. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by the serene atmosphere of the Himmelhof. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, blending elegance with comfort in a way that immediately puts you at ease. Our room was a delightful retreat - spacious, immaculately clean, and furnished with a perfect blend of modern amenities and cozy charm. What stood out most during our stay was the exceptional level of service provided by the staff. Each member of the team was not just professional and efficient, but also genuinely caring and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, always with a friendly smile. The hotel's facilities contributed greatly to our relaxation. Whether it was the tranquil spa area, the cozy lounge, or the beautiful outdoor spaces, each aspect of Himmelhof was designed with guest comfort in mind. Overall, our stay at Himmelhof was a rejuvenating experience. It's the perfect destination for anyone looking to escape and rejuvenate in a setting of peaceful luxury. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for the attentive service and beautiful surroundings. We cannot recommend Himmelhof enough and are already planning our return visit.
