Schnitzel was not good... It was GLORIOUS! Best dish I've tried in my life! Service was great and kind, food was delicious. Price range is really good, the potato salad was simply majestic. A jewel of a place hidden right across the street from Westbahnhof.

I had a great dining experience at this restaurant. Despite a short 5-minute wait, the food was excellent, especially the tender Tafelspitz and tasty half-mashed potatoes. I paired my meal with a 50cl glass of Kaizer double malt draft beer. While the decor was nice, the choice of 80's rock music felt out of place for an authentic Austrian setting. Nevertheless, the reasonable price of 22 Euros for a generous portion, including the beer, makes this place worth recommending.

Excellent and very professionally run restaurant, a lucky accidental find for us. The soup and mains we ordered (as pictured) tasted truly great - well above average - and the service team were amazing - really on the ball. Despite being clearly rushed off their feet they still managed to be efficient, attentive and friendly.

Home-styled authentic Austrian food, round the clock from lunch to dinner, super helpful if you’re hungry at 4pm hehe. Good price and not touristy at all.

Amazing Value for money! This restaurant was next to our hotel (Mercure Westbahnhof) and it did not dissapoint! it was our first meal in Austria, Vienna and boy this was great!! everything tasted good from soups to main dishes. We tried the - beef broth soup - Pork medallions with Potato Croquettes and pepper sauce - Bread dumplings with Beef goulash the bread dumplings are a bit dense so we didn't eat much of it...but the pork medallions were surprisingly tasty! i really liked it the prices here are very good compared with the City (Stephansplatz) because it is situated in Westbahnhof everything is more friendly priced. Also the Beef goulash was thick and tasty (big pieces of beef...that's how it should be!) We didn't try the wiener schnitzel over here but i'm sure everything is tasty as well. we also tried the apfel strudel as it was one of the classic desserts in Austria but in my opinion it's soso...we don't really like desserts that much anyways but if you're crazy about apples then this is the dessert for you. Recommended 5 Star!! if you're staying in Westbahnhof (close to the Subway/Train station)!

Excellent food, friendly staff and great service. I stopped in here unplanned on my 2nd day in Vienna, simply because it was close to the train station. Talk about a surprise: awesome authentic local dishes at a reasonable price. Just to give context, I went to several high-end restaurants in the central city throughout the rest of the week I was in Vienna, but frankly none of them prepared the veal schnitzel as well as Pulkautaler Weinhaus did. Who would have expected it?! I actually went back twice before the end of my stay just to try some of the other things on the menu. I think the hot dad waiter thought I was stalking him :) Anyway, if you're in that part pf the city and feeling hungry, I highly recommend stopping buy.

Tops my list for Austrian cuisine. Fast and friendly service, lovely traditional interior and sumptuous meals at very competitive prices. Love the tafelspitz - didn't expect boiled pork to retain so much flavour and juiciness. Opens Monday to Sunday - 11:30 to 22:30. If you're visiting Vienna like me, complete your trip with a meal and wine here.

We ate here twice on our trip to Vienna. We had 4 different.eals and all were really tasty, with really big portions. Excellent authentic Austrian dishes. Staff spoke good English and provided advice on the food options. Prices were very reasonable.

A nice restaurant in a less touristic part of the city but its customers were mostly tourists. Friendly service and less crowded. I liked its Schinitzel but Goulash dish was quite average. Very generous portions, and we, as small eaters, couldn’t finish them all. Nevertheless, it was a great experience to try something local.

Being a schnitzeler, sometimes on weekends, while roaming around the historic streets of Vienna, I look out for lunch in old vienese restaurants. And this was a lucky discovery since I was around this area. The food: Big huge chicken schnitzel. Fluffy, tasty and may be too big for me for just enough for a native austrian. The ambiance: Honestly the wood and furniture will get you hints how old this place might be. But other than that, no there are no other indications. Cozy and suitable for all kind of parties I would say The service: Fast and efficient. They got english menu too so no problems at all. And they understand english too. Overall, a special place for a good work free weekend.

Authentic viennese experience, huge portions and good service. Prices are fair for what you get, alcohol prices are average for Vienna.

The food was delicious and the people there were very kind and professional. The prices are really affordable for a city like Vienna, considering that they give you a lot of food. Can't wait to go back here!

Very cozy place on walking distance from Westbahnhof. Friendly waitress, English menu with pictures of dishes, showing exactly what you get. The food is delicious, traditional Austrian food, good portions for a reasonable price. The beers were good as well.

We spotted this restaurant on our way back to our hotel. So the next evening we tried it. Perfect 100% reviews are accurate we turned up at peak time and only waited 5 minutes for a table. The atmosphere was warm and friendly waiters polite and helpful. Beer choice was good we had a malt beer and local wine. Then the chicken with gorgonzola sauce and schnitzel with potato salad. Portion size large and delicious perfectly home cooked viennise food if your after authentic food at great prices and a warm welcome try here.

Quite possibly the best food we have eaten for quite some time. We arrived in Vienna a couple of days ago and this place was very close to our hotel. It feels very traditional and obviously very popular with locals as we have come back 2 days later and some of the same people here. Food is excellent, could not fault anything. Some traditional food as well as great chef specials. Also great local beers. Staff very friendly and service excellent. Not rushed at all. Would definitely want this place as my local.

Great food, lovely staff! After we spent almost a whole day in the Schonbrunn zoo, we wanted to have a wiener schnitzel. We were not disapointed: it was fantastic! The service is fast and everyone was kind! Definitely will go back if around!

This is a great place for experiencing genuine Viennese cuisine. The menu is based on local dishes which are tastefully prepared and served. The dishes are very well sized. There are also good beer options. The atmosphere is cosy with well spaced tables and nice decoration. The staff is courteous and friendly and speaks English. And all of this for an absolutely reasonable price. A top recommendation!

Authentic Austrian food. Price versus quality is good. Portions are more than big enough. When difficult to choose, just pick one of the numbers at the first page with pictures and let surprise yourself. Note: there are also vegetation options.
