Very nice view and the mountain is still very clean from tourism - thanks DAV! Sturdy shoes are recommended for the summit. Today on May 1st there is still > 30 cm of snow on the path: poles and spikes would be helpful 😉

Great descent with great views. Difficult to walk in wet or snowy conditions, sometimes very steep and uneven on the climb.

The path there was very poorly described because of mountaineers or hikers. Just red dots. U. We knew the way from before, it wasn't the right way to the summit. Suddenly you were standing in front of the rock and you had to climb up there, it was too dangerous for us and then we turned back. We could have crashed. The climbers who always do this are ok. But not for hikers. We won't go up there anymore.

Easy climb from Sachrang via Mitterleiten. On the way in Spitzsteinaus and the Altkaseralm you can stop for refreshments. At the summit there is a beautiful view of the Kaisergebirge and surrounding mountains.

Reachable in about 3 hours from the Schweibern car park (€5). Medium to difficult route for alpine beginners. We had our dog with us (knee height), he couldn't be any smaller. Nice view when you're at the top!! Tip from my husband: take enough snacks with you so that the wife doesn't get hangry 🤷‍♀️

(Translated by Google) From the Altkaser Alm at 1,279 m, a well-marked path, with steps in some places, leads to the summit of the 1,596 m high Spitzstein. You should be sure-footed and in good physical condition, but the effort of the ascent will be rewarded with a fantastic view!

Beautiful hiking tour. No matter whether over the south or north flank (steig) great view. Ideal places to stop for refreshments up here!

Albeit short, but still a nice tour. No matter whether summer or winter, it is always worth a visit. As a ski tour, even if it's not particularly long, it's usually possible in critical avalanche conditions. In summer there are numerous options up here. Since (2019?) the old path on the north side has also been renovated again.

We did the Spitzstein circumnavigation. A beautiful, relatively lonely route. The path over the ridge is partially exposed and could even be roped in some places. We recommend!

When the weather is good you have a fantastic 360° view of the surrounding mountains. The climb is easy to manage

Great views and fun climb. The klettersteig over the north face is secured with steel ropes and you don't need any special equipment to do it. It's good fun if you don't have a fear of heights. There is a normal ascent from the spitzsteinhaus but the klettersteig was more interesting.
