Restaurant review only. We had a very nice dinner in an atmosphere with nice, soft background music. The wait staff were very professional, friendly & very attentive. The menu had a good range of choice however I felt there should have been some more options within that range. The red curry duck was full of lovely spicy flavour as were other dishes full of flavour. There was a noticeable wait time between entree & main courses. Actual rating should be 4.5 stars as befitting a top class resort. Steve Franklin Rotorua

After enjoying a couple of happy hour sessions here in a convivial atmosphere and friendly staff, a group of us decided to go for lunch one day. We booked beforehand with a request for an outdoor table, but were seated indoors on arrival and had to convince them it wasn't too windy to be seated outside in order to be shifted. The waitress was very false try hard, and it was irritating constantly being addressed as "beautiful ladies". Of the 5 of us, two were happy with their meal. Another had a nice salad but with a very dry tuna steak. Two had the pasta which was supposed to have tuna in it but did not appear to, and when challenged were flatly told it did but it was flaked so that's why they couldn't see it. Well, they couldn't taste it either! The prices were above average for the quality. There were very few others dining. The environment itself is lovely with beautiful views to the lagoon.

Very beautiful place and clean. Love the swimming pool. You get your own swimming pool if you stay in your room. Very Romantic place. Weather Very nice. Even just walk out and there's the beach. Can go snorkeling.

We booked for dinner & it was GREAT! My seat was pulled out for me, waiters were prompt, professional, and friendly. The food was the BEST on the island. I got the Ika Mata, so worth the price.

We booked an evening meal for Christmas Day - As we were staying at a different resort I asked if it would be possible to use the facilities during the day and then get changed on site ready for our evening meal - the booking was for 4 and on the phone reservation the person confirmed this would be possible and that there would be no additional charge for this. I received an email confirming our booking - it was incorrect …. It was just a confirmation for 2 . I asked our receptionists to reconfirm the booking and make the change to 4 people. When we arrived the Receptionist at the Nautilus was very charming and said we just needed to introduce ourselves to the Restaurant staff and let them know we would be using the facilities prior to dining with them. The restaurant staff only had the reservation listed for 2 people - I politely asked them to amend it to 4 and then let them know we would be using their facilities in the mean time as was previously arranged. The restaurant staff member was particularly dismissive and told me to go back to the reception to pay a cover charge of $400.00 to use the pool - There was no one at reception - I then spoke to the manager ( I presume) who allowed us to use the pool saying it was an unusual request to swim before dinner. The pool was pretty dead - hardly any patrons - we ordered a few drinks. We found the service quite slow, there was also a power cut which put our dinner plans on hold for a while …. I would have thought a resort like the Nautilus would have a back up generator? Our waiter Ari was the saving grace as was the Chef - our meal was delicious, Ari was very attentive and so charming. We even managed to lift the ambiance a little with an impromptu conga in the restaurant on what was a pretty dull Christmas evening. What a shame the young lady who greeted us at the restaurant at beginning of the afternoon left us feeling the Nautilus believed it was not in our price bracket …… Having worked in hospitality for 5* establishments the Nautilus let itself down. 1.They should have communicated the charge when taking the booking 2. The Restaurant staff member should receive more training in the art of dealing with customers so as not to belittle and cause a feeling of embarrassment. 3. Recognise that sometimes bending the rules or making exceptions can actually work in your favour I had a lovely time at the Nautilus despite my experience - however when we were asked if we’d like to attend the Boxing Day pool party ….. My husbands reply was ‘No Thankyou’

Nautilus Resort Restaurant was a superb choice for my 50th celebration dinner with my partner. Firstly, open on Sunday! The setting is stylish with immaculate decor, while taking advantage of views over the lagoon. The serving staff were delightful and made sure we had everything we wanted and were comfortable. The food was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and utterly delicious. Thank you for singing HBday with dessert and adding candle and golden specialness.

We had dinner there and were serviced by April, she is so patience, friendly, helpful and informative as we asked for guidance about other places on the island, she gave us a very honest and straight opinion. She is a reflection of the place she works for! Nautilus had very nice and tasty food, serves are modest but beautiful cooked and full of flavors. Definitely coming back.

The restaurant here was nothing short of perfection. The staff and our server were amazingly professional and precise. Nothing was a problem. The food was spectacular! I had what was probably the best steak of my life here. Could not possibly recommend any higher to everyone. Thank you so much for a beautiful evening.

We did not stay at the Nautilus, but at the sister resort next door. We did,however, have our breakfasts and most of our dinners at the restaurant. I can't speak highly enough of the staff, they were absolutely delightful. We also attended a wedding at the Nautilus and it was amazing.

Had a restaurant booking for 18 people that was cancelled the night before due to a wedding. They offered to book us at another restaurant. When we arrived at the new venue, the new restaurant told us they declined the booking to having a full restaurant. Josh was the one that handled it all, and failed to communicate to us that the booking never went through. Do not rely on this restaurant to handle any type of booking on your behalf as they lack the proper communication skills. Once we reached out to Josh, he started lying saying the new restaurant told him our new booking was confirmed and this is the first he’s heard about it all. He failed to resolve our situation, leaving 18 people scavenging around for dinner that night. This was our pre wedding dinner by the way.

Skip the happy hour- For $13 cocktails you’d be better off going elsewhere. I ordered a margarita and was served a splash of well tequila and a rancid mixer. The atmosphere is great so maybe opt for a bottled beer instead of their “mixology program?” 3 stars only for the view.

We only came here for a couple of drinks, customer service was amazing and the views were amazing! As they would say ‘Insta worthy’. Overall good vibes and would love to come back to stay here and use other facilities in the near future.

We had the most amazing experience at Nautilus. We had our wedding reception in their private dining room at it was just magical! The staff were so accommodating and the food was to die for. I would highly, highly, highly recommend this place. They went absolutely above and beyond for us even offering to change nappies and help with unruly toddlers so that no one had to miss out on the reception. Fantastic service. If their dining staff are this top notch I can only imagine what it would be like to stay at this resort and will definitely be staying here in future.

We came for dinner tonight and had one of the best experiences ever!! The food was exceptional, my favourite part was the desserts and cocktails! The service was easily the best service I’ve ever had!! The view was absolutely stunning! Can’t wait to go for a buffet breakfast in the morning! Definitely going to stay here next time we come to Rarotonga!

Great meal in the most amazing setting! And the staff were so professional and friendly. All so good In fact that we returned for cocktails and lunch the next day. Delicious cocktails and food once again topped off by the super friendly staff. We will return !

Wow! We just had the most incredible meal at the beautiful restaurant and it was delicious! The new menu is just amazing and so well put together, well done to the very talented chefs. The service we received from the front of house staff is nothing but excellent. Friendly, welcoming, polite, attentive, and just generally superb, so thank you. Went here for dinner. Service is excellent and the restaurant is very nice and beautifully decorated. The food was ok but it lacked finesse, that’s the general consensus from 5 different courses. If a dish consists of many different elements you have to hero each one of them instead of drenching everything in one dominant sauce or spice. Food is 3 and venue is 5 so 4 stars is what we give. By the way, the toilets are very cool and a must go 👍

Lauren and her team were amazing and looked after us so well with their exceptional service. The food was delicious and even now when the evening is discussed I get "the ____ was sooo good" every course was incredibly yummy! But the cake - oh my goodness the Tropical birthday cake was a work of art!! Thank you also to Elaine for arranging the beautiful flowers. Highly recommend Nautilus and will definitely be back

We recently stayed and got married at the nautilus and I couldn’t have asked for anything more amazing than the service we received. The staff are friendly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. The resort it’s self is beautiful the rooms are immaculate, the restaurant serves amazing food and the pool has an incredible view of the lagoon. The location of this resort is ideal close to town and the local night market with shops and cafes just down the road. I highly recommend staying at the nautilus if you want a luxury holiday with incredible staff ensuring your holiday is perfect! Thank you once again for making our wedding the most amazing day for us and our guests it was the perfect wedding!

We celebrated a very special birthday event. Josh and the team went out of their way to make sure that everything was just as we wanted it to be in the private dining area. From the room setup, welcome drinks, amazing set menu and the staff even joining us for the birthday sing-a-long when the cake came out. Goes without saying that the night was a huge hit and one we won't forget in a hurry!! Defiantly recommend the Nautilus for a dining experience in Rarotonga. Thanks once again.

Came here for a massage and it was lovely! We hung out on the beautiful beach while we waited, and then were dealt with very well at the front desk. It didn't take long to get us through and the facilities were great. The massage itself was calming and relaxing, I would definitely go back and do it again! The resort looked lovely and the plants were very well kept, the restaurant wasn't busy but looked clean and tidy.

Had dinner out at the nautilus tonight, the food could not be faulted it was absolutely delicious. The staff were really lovely and provided top level service. The nautilus obviously has a great service team on board and a fantastic chef. Best meal we had on the island. Thanks for a lovely evening.

We chose this restaurant based on the menu located on their website. Majority of the choices on their online menu was removed off their actual menu, which was very disappointing. We were sat pool side with a beautiful view of the pool and ocean. You couldn't fault the staff or. Entree and mains were average.

We had a special dinner arranged at the Nautilus Restaurant during our stay. A table was set up by the pool area and we were able to hear and see the ocean and watch the sunset. The food was amazing and plentiful. It could not have been better. Thanks for a memorable evening.
