Beautiful food, perfect service. In short. Was send here by people of canal boats do could be good or a tourist trap.... Luckily was good. More than generous portions with home-cooked style dishes. Also the wine list nice and reasonable. For eel or may other dishes can recommend!

I totally recommend this restaurant. From the food to the service, everything was great. We had starters and a bottle of the lovely Planalto wine. For main we opted for the Cataplana and it was absolutely delicious. The gentleman serving us was so friendly and fun, made us feel very welcome. What an amazing dinner we had. A place to certainly come back every time we go to Aveiro.

Had to wait in the line for about 20-30 minutes, and the prices for meals are on a higher side, but it worth every penny! Fresh seafood, amazing food, excellent service despite the place is very busy. The rice with seafood (shrimps, lobsters, giant mussels, tomato sauce, rice) comes in a big pot, and can easily feed 4 people. Wine, beer, espresso, desserts are very inexpensive, almost grocery store prices. We left happy.

Delicious fish and really good portion sizes. Only slightly let down by our waiter being quite inattentive, but other staff were very lovely. We had the special fish rice stew for two people.

Good food and drink but not the best fish. But the octopus was to die for. Great service too. Nice wine and champagne all around.

The fried octopus was UH-MAH-ZING! A little Bridy told me the owner used to work at my other favorite in town Mare Cheia! This place does NOT disappoint. The fried Pulpo (octopus comes with a pot of seafood rice and was 35€ for 2 persons). It was PERFECT! Not to salty and quite tender. WIll definitely be back! And is now another favorite in our city!

If you want to try Portuguese sea food this is the place! The crab with shrimps taste really good and the rice soup with sea food taste like heaven! The service is very good although when it’s crowded it takes a bit longer. It’s worth waiting!

Traditional food where you will find local people. When we entered the restaurant, there were only a few tables occupied and when we left the restaurant was full. The portions are huuuuge and tasty at an affordable price. This is not a restaurant for tourists so if you go there, you will better immerse in the lifestyle of Portuguese people.

Very friendly staff. I had the stuffed crab which was amazing. Other food on the tables next to me looked great as well. So far the best seafood I had in Aveiro. Small but fine selection of dishes. I can fully recommend this place.

Saw someone get the “special seafood with rice” at least that is how it translates. And so we tried it… wow, it’s definitely seafood and quite the experience to try all the different seafood in a heavy broth! 😋 🤤 But, all though it says for two people I think it will feed four people! 💪🏽 (Confirmed when the family of 4 sat down next to us two and ordered the same thing) We couldn’t even finish half… all though I sure tried! Obviously a super local place as we saw the staff recognize many people. However, even with the language barrier and packed out restaurant we were treated really well! Highly recommended if you want some family dining. 😎 Basically the restaurant name translates “at our home”. So eat like you are at our home!

Really nice portuguese style fish and seafood dishes as well as traditional desserts! I was there now the second time and can recommend by heart.

👍👍 Possibly the best restaurant in Aveiro. Its been around for over 60 years. Waiters are professional and the food is fresh. If you want a full Portuguese food experience that's traditional, come here straight from the city. It's 10 minute drive or uber..
