Wonderful hotel in the center of Aveiro, around 5 or 10 min by foot to the restaurant. It is really quite and the staff was really welcoming. The breakfast is also nice with a lot of different choice (salt or sweet). The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. And there is also a car park at less than 2 min by foot.

Don't ask for a balcony room, they look beautiful but you will end up with no sleep! There was a concert right outside our room 106 on a Thursday night (so not just the weekends) the hotel didn't inform us this was happening, even though the event had been planned for some time. The hotel knowingly doesn't tell their guests because they know they wouldn't be able to sell those rooms and they believe the noise outside the hotel isn't their responsibility. The noise we incurred went on until 4.30am, we had a plan to go hiking the next day and were leaving early so it wasn't a case of just joining in for us! We did speak to the hotel staff at length, they know they have a problem with these rooms but don't believe its their responsibility to inform people about this - I find this attitude to customer service frustrating - if we had been informed, we would just have chosen a different room or different hotel. If noise doesn't worry you, then its a nice hotel in a central location but if you want a good nights sleep, chose somewhere else.

The very first hotel to be built in Aveiro with a long history. Beautifully renovated with all the modern amenities. A more perfect location you won’t find anywhere in Aveiro.

Fantastic place to stay while in Aveiro. It's located right in the center of town, just off the roundabout. The hotel is steps away from restaurants and bakeries, and there's a mall across the small canal. The hotel has an arrangement with the mall for parking. The free breakfast buffet is amazing and pkentiful, and the dining rooms are roomy and elegant. The front desk is super friendly and helpful, and luggage can be stored for early check-ins. We had a great short stay at this hotel. Make sure to take a stroll in the evening when the hotel and canals are lit up.

Very nice staff and the best location Some rooms don't have any view (just a white wall).

Rooms are a bit small and the shower in some of them is quite small. We booked two of the same room and they were completely different sizes (I’m assuming this is because the building is older). There are no outlets in the bathroom. The hotel staff were very friendly and they were helpful but were honest that having repairs done to the room is difficult to get. One of our rooms the air conditioning did not work very well and her toilet wouldn’t flush because the top piece was loose and they couldn’t get anyone to come fix it. The front office staff did what they could but it was frustrating to have a toilet that you had to jiggle around the top piece for awhile to get to flush and a warm room. Breakfast was good and location was great. Parking is a little far and randomly would be blocked off for maintenance to the machine.

Very efficient and helpful reception. Great location with the old town right on the doorstep.

Even though the location is good, room is disappointing. Too small that you cannot fit in the room if you open your luggage.

Although the room was a bit small we had a lovely weekend there. The hotel is situated in a central location. There is an underground parking close by for which you pay 10 €/day. I would absolutely go back!

We had a suite which was enormous however it only has a single queen size bed. Two doubles would have been better although sofa bed is there in the first room. Decent furnishings. Decent shower no tub. Annoying sink faucet works on sensor. Inadequate bathroom furnishings for tooth brushes etc. Comfy bed and sheets.

The hotel is perfectly positioned. Staff were welcoming and friendly. It was a pleasant surprise to find the lovely interior design and comfortable bed. The room was small but it was very clean and neatly decorated. For one night as we had booked, it was perfect... maybe a longer stay would require a larger room though. A great hotel for a solo stay as well as one with friends!

Great location. Rooms are very well done. Bathrooms are ample size. Breakfast sensational. Staff wonderful. I have nothing negative to say. Would love to come back and stay. Location is central, great window views. Near bars, restaurants, water way, shopping. Have the best of all things.

Great location and lovely public spaces in the hotel. The rooms are however extremely small and very pokey. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very central to all activities and restaurants

Looks nice. Good location, friendly service, good breakfast. Parking opposite but ok. Taking all stars off because they are creating two rooms out of one. I've been in >100 hotels but never have I've been in a bed that was too short for me (I'm 1.80)... The bed was fortwo persons but as wide as a single bed in normal hotels. The bathroom was stinking really bad and was soo small that nothing would fit.

We only spent one night but had a great stay. Marco at the front desk was very warm and helpful with recommendations. They even kindly overnighted a garment we left in the room to Porto after we left. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Aveiro

Couldn’t have asked for a better location in Aveiro. Our room was smaller when put against some of the others we stayed in while in Portugal, but comparable to the size of room we are used to in Toronto/Vancouver. It was quiet in our room for sleeping. It was clean and comfortable. We had a view of the canal from our room!

😠 Beautiful place, but parking is hard, too crowded, have to pay in order to enter, and just not worth it. Edit: Exactly, that's my opinion. That's why Google let's people review places.
