Great tour, very informative! Alfredo is very knowledgeable and personable and passionate about his subject. The museum and roman ruin site were fascinating. The ruins are in a beautiful location. Glad we took this tour - would not have missed it!

Wow! What a fabulous tour! We had the most delightful morning exploring the Roman ruins at Conimbriga with Alfredo. He's a terrific guide -- knowledgeable and personable -- and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together. The Roman ruins were fascinating. Highly recommended!

My husband and I did the "Day with Deer" tour with Alfredo. This tour was one of the major highlights of our trip to Portugal. Alfredo picked us up near our hotel promptly at 8am. From there we headed straight to windmill-lined Lousa mountain, where our quest for deer sightings commenced. Ultimately we saw a few deer, including the somewhat more elusive roe deer. Our trip to the mountain also included a pleasant forest hike, a visit to the famous mountainside swing, and lunch in Talasnal, one of the Schist villages. We also learned the history of the area, and got to "see it," too, by visiting an abandoned village and a few other distinctive buildings. We furthermore visited another pleasant Schist village where people still live, called Gondramaz. Through our conversations with Alfredo, we gained a better connection with and understanding of modern and historic Portuguese culture. This tour was a great opportunity to see another side of the country, disconnected from the usual tourist track along the public transportation lines. If you like nature, animals, and a closer, quieter look at another culture's way of life, I would highly recommend this tour.

We booked the Roman Conimbriga Tour at last minute, and would highly recommend it. Alfredo picked us up from Coimbra centre and spent 4 enjoyable hours taking us to 3 differet sites which relate to the Roman history of the area. The spring and water source was very peaceful and the discussion with the local washer women was entertaining. The PORCS Museum was very interesting and helped to clarify the Roman lifestyle in an enjoyable and interactive way. The actual excavated site had some very interesting houses and buildings lnked to the community. A very interesting tour and one of the highlights of Coimbra made special by interesting and entertaining Alfredo. Highly recommended.

Awesome one day trip with Alfredo to the Schist Villages in Lousã mountain. We had great recommendations and things learned about the history, the flora and fauna in the area. We had the chance to see a wild boar too 😀 Everything was just perfect! I highly recommend Veado Verde / Green Deer! Alfredo, thank you so much! Sue & Fred 🙂

The tour (6/5/2022) I took with Alfredo to the Conímbriga Roman archaeological site was outstanding. A museum with great animated audiovisual representations of the site, the tower and spring at the source of the aqueduct, and the foundations of the coliseum were great additional stops outside the official archeological site. Alfredo is very personable, knowlegable, and articulate in English. His explanations and comments were excellent. As an older and less physically able person, I especially appreciated the small tour group and personal attention. I highly recommend this tour.

Booked the deer tour with Alfredo. Very informative & knowledgeable. The off road experience is unforgettable with deer sightings, a visit to Talasnal for coffee & almost at last light wild boar to top the tour! Highly recommended.

I booked a morning tour to the Schist Villages with Alfredo. Not only Alfredo is a wonderful person but he is also a great guide: I learned a lot about the history and fauna of the region. I wish I could stay longer to join one of Alfredo's other tours.
