The boardwalk to the dunes is closed. We drove here and then walked nearly an hour (and then back) to not see the dunes. There was no signage at the head of the path indicating the closure - I checked again as we left. If you want to go, perhaps call in advance to be sure it is open

Such a beautiful, secluded beach and gorgeous dunes! The interior area of the park is also lovely and quiet, with various trail options and many labeled plants and trees, but if you only have time for one - and you are an ocean lover - the beach is not to be missed. With a little time, energy and decent walking shoes it's a pretty easy 20-30 min walk from the ferry to the beach (about the same from the ferry to the interior of the park, along the road). There are a couple of public washrooms and changing rooms at the main entrance to the beach, along with a little café with a few drink/chip/ice cream options and a little patio. Plan this as at least a half day trip if you are getting there and back on public transit (bus & ferry) from Aveiro.

Unfortunately it is closed due apparently to a group of wild dogs causing problems. No indication or signs when you get there (after a long drive). Just a closed down information centre. We did find a warden but she was not able to tell us much, just that it was closed.

Nice reserve. Access is very restricted so the paths don't let you explore too much. Longest path takes 3 hours and is largerly through pine forests. The reception with map are available from the south west corner of the park opposite the restaurant.

Calm and nice area! If you like to spend time quite without any disturbs walking through the reserve or resting on the beach this place is for you! So misanthropes, welcome!

Very nice red path. Easy to walk Please can you thank for us the nice gentleman working for the park who helped us on Sunday 15 May around 12 am . He took time to explain the trail and the park when the information boot was closed and we had not realised there was a very clear website. Thanks a lot

Nice for a relaxing walk. Plants and trees are tagged if you're curious and there's some info on bird life as well. Wasn't super impressed though and there weren't any services/amenities prepared around it.

The beach was beautiful, but the forest was not that appealing/beautiful.

Close due to wild dogs roaming the location. Warning is only on site and cannot be found online

Trails currently closed until further notice due to a pack of dangerous dogs in the reserve.
