    I'm not that cultured if it comes to visiting churches on vacation, but even I found this beauty was definitely worth the scenic side route road trip between Aviero and Porto

    Absolutely amazing church with beautiful hand painted coloured tiles covering front façade and interior. There are many churches in Portugal all of which showcase their beauty in one way or another however this church is very unique due to the style of tiles and the story they tell. Not to be missed!

    Very beautiful church, tiled from top to bottom. Unfortunately the church was not accessible, we would have liked to have admired the place from the inside.

    I was surprised by the originality of this church, whose facade is completely tiled with religious scenes. The interior is also largely tiled. The church is very well maintained and very beautiful. Well worth a visit. Be aware that it will not even be open. Please check opening hours.

    Worth seeing church in small Valega, near Ovar. Incredibly elaborate tile paintings on the outside and paintings on the inside. Regardless of what relationship you have to your faith/church, the building is well worth seeing. Behind it is a small café with delicious sandwiches, bread and pastries!

    Beautiful church in a very small town. Amazing tile paintings along the front and inside. We were able to go inside and view all the interior paintings without any issue.

👍👍 I discovered this entry by accident while riding my bike and I was speechless because of its beauty, couples and photography fans were arriving as the sun went down. Depending on the weather you can do a lot watching, I recommend wearing a jacket, especially if you are going to wait for the sunset....
