For a 4 star hotel and for the amount I paid it was very disappointing. Breakfast was chaos. The staff are clearly not trained and didn't know what they were doing. Cups were always missing if you wanted coffee. The food is ok but I expected better for this hotel. Rooms were only cleaned in the afternoon. The hotel floors were clearly not cleaned properly. You had to wait 10 minutes at the bar before someone would come. Very disappointing experience. Don't waste your money.

Unfortunately this has been one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. The location of the hotel is fantastic but that's about it. We paid for a deluxe room expecting a decent sized room but it was very cramped and deluxe simply means view and double bed. The room was very dark and impractical as if like me you want to style your hair with your own tool forget it, as there are no sockets near any mirrors. We eventually got an extension cord which took up even more space in our tiny room. Then the spa. The facilities are good but the first time we went there was a kid's swimming lesson on at the same time so was super noisy and not exactly relaxing. The second time we went the spa had three or four kids who screaming their heads off and when we complained we were told that there was nothing they could do, so we had to forget about our relaxing spa. Cleanliness is also below par - we had stains on the curtains and the floor of the dining hall is disgusting. Our stay was so bad that we actually checked out a day early.

They charge 12.5€ entry + 4€ for the required cap. I was expecting a nice spa since it was not included in the hotel. What a mistake! The jacuzzi was same temperature as the pool, the sauna was not even hot. Poor maintenance, the bottom of the jacuzzi was delaminating, the floor around the pool was wet and slippery. It’s amazing how they can charge an entry fee when they knew the spa doesn’t even work! If they had informed me that the jacuzzi was cold, I wouldn’t have entered. It’s a scam. My advice, walk through the spa first to make sure what you want to use is functional before you pay.

Nice hotel with cool employees. The hotel is well maintained but the decoration and the common areas are old fashioned now especially the elevator (too slow) where you should wait like 10 min to get one and go back to your room. To resume, good hotel but some points to improve to get your clients happy to be at a 4 stars hotel.

Nice room but it was too warm and we visited in October so I can't imagine it in summer. The spa costs 12 euros per person for 1 hour and is very small. Very friendly staff.

Amazing place to stay in Aveiro-within walking distance of everything. The staff here is amazing and when I lost my ring down the sink, they took it apart to find it! Also, the bar tender made a special creation drink of his for me and it was of the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Everything was perfect! Clean, warm and bright room with everything you need and more! Convenient location within walking distance to the historic centre, atmospheric and quiet place by the river. Beautiful view, excellent breakfast and service 😍

Great location and wonderful staff. The breakfast was was excellent. Only issue is there should be more lighting in the rooms a little too dark. Needs a little updating in the rooms and hallways carpets showing their years of wear. I found the room clean.

This hotel Is located at a very reasonable distance from city center. It’s on the border of a lagoon (channel). The facilities are very nice. The only inconvenience I found was that you had to pay for all food and drinks at the moment and could not charge to the room. But genuinely, I highly recommend this place in Aveiro.

I have just returned home from my stay here and reflecting on my time spent here. Everything was absolutely perfect everyone was so lovely and the place was amazing the spa the restaurant bar location the room. I think the best nights sleep next to the calming waters. I will most definitely love to visit again and highly recommend. If I had a choice between five star The Londoner Hotel in London I would choose this melia ria aveiro most definitely for a relaxing break. I definitely received excellent service and the other guests and locals were all so welcoming and friendly. Thank you so much 😘

Business meeting. Bar service was terrible. tables were dirty. Came into the hotel bar with another 6 persons. 5 of them were hotel guests. There was no table that could fit us all, so I requested to join two tables. As the bartender was not proactively setting up the tables for the group, we started to join the tables by ourselves. Tables were very dusty. After finishing the setup, the barwoman approached and took our orders. In total 7 drinks. We waited for 20 minutes but no drinks were served at all. Meanwhile we had to leave.

Amazing hotel situated in a central location within Aveiro. Next to an old ceramics factory, now used for municipal services and next to the canals in a beautiful part of the town, the hotel strikes a contemporary, but complimentary contrast against the pre 21st century architecture.

Can't comment on the rooms cause I went for the massage. GREAT MASSAGE but the changing room/shower had a bit of damage on some of the installations (doors and in general) Service was GREAT tho!

Quiet the architectural statement and situated on the canal so it looks good. The check in process was a bit slow and then asking a guest what time they intended to have breakfast the next day on check in is perhaps not the wisest thing to do to welcome guests whom have travelled long distances. The room was so so. I was given one that over looked the parking lot. Had breakfast and it was really nothing special. Would I stay here again? Perhaps and perhaps not.

Rooms very nice and staff excellent. Food was good but menu for the evening meal remains the same day in and day out. Not so good if on half board Excellent location for the town.

A nice hotel. But their loyalty program is useless (user interface, customer care). For a very frequent traveller reason enough to never come back to this chain.

Very nice hotel. I decided to book this hotel for a birthday present and it was great, all the staff were helpful and kind. Food was good quality and the location and overall facilities were good. Would definitely come back, perfect place for a getaway
