The church of Saint Didier, Église Saint Didier in French, was built in the middle of the fourteenth century (1355-1359). At the time, Avignon was the center of catholic Christendom. The current church is in desperate need of a restoration, but it's still worth a visit.

A beautiful and charming church that stands in the heart of Avignon. The church has maintained its Gothic-style structure since the mid-12th century. Inside the church itself you will see a number of interesting works of art as well as some small sculptures. It is also advisable to take a look at the church bells, which are not located inside the church itself, but at a small kiosk located near the church entrance. Admission is free. Opening Hours: Daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. How long should you visit? Up to half an hour.

Beautiful Gothic church tucked away at Place Didier. Peaceful, quiet and serene. Have spent may moments in solitude and prayer here.
