Meh, pretty small museum which wasn’t worth the €8 entry fee. There’s one Van Gogh painting and one or two paintings by Degar and other famous painters but otherwise there wasn’t much else that interested me

Good range of art works by a selection of different artists. Well worth the 8 euro admission fee to see the current Picasso exhibition

So not worth the 8 Euro fee. Very small collection. In fact, I thought I missed a wing or a few floors. Only person there. I revisited each painting because I was embarrassed to leave after 15 minutes (which is all it takes) and wasting 8 Euros.

Pretty disappointed. Lovely lady selling the tickets but was put off by a male guide who was less than welcoming and did not know how to politely ask that I leave my bag in a locker. My French is not bad, I could have understood but he was abrupt and rude and then shadowed us around the exhibits as if we were up to no good. There are some late 19th/early 20th century works which were my main reason for visiting and are advertised in all the publicity. Especially wanted to see some Van Gogh paintings near to where the work was executed, but found only one. Lots of Degas and Matisse, which I did enjoy.

Not a wide collection but there are precious artworks by very important painters. It was worth the €8 I paid.

C’est tout petite mais superbe! La collection a les pieces tres rares. Super acquillants et disponibles pour les vielles et handicappees

A good place to see the Matisses and their development. Quite a few other artists’ works also, and a Picasso or two, three... one Van Gogh of a train at a bend in the line which shows well how he focussed in on a view which is then evidenced by his painting technique. That could be a pile of horsefeathers or possibly quite insightful :)

A small, easy but nice museum! Very relaxing visit, especially after the tiring visit in the palace..

Small but really worth a visit. A little gem, with all sorts of interesting rooms and artworks collected with love. Matisse exhibition now worth seeing too.

We came across this house by accident but found a delightful little gem (hosting a Matisse exhibition on the second floor when we visited). Apart from that there are permanent artworks collected by Jacques Doucet a couturier at the end of 19th century, and Jean Angladon. Interesting rooms on the first floor contain antique furniture pieces, ceramics, paintings and a lovely library room with some impressive and important French literature. All collected by people who clearly had a passion for art. We loved it. Recommended for anyone who enjoys art.

Charming little modern art museum in the heart of Avignon. It's perfect for the size and the quality of both its permanent collection and the temporary ones. The setting in a renovated Private mansion adds to the whole.

Welcoming and friendly. Wide selection of artwork - lots of Picasso's linework...... Provision of (free) lockers to leave your bag is really good idea - other museums please copy.

Very interesting collection and the temporary exhibition featured an American artist with whom I wasn't familiar, Man Ray. Recommended!
