We booked a day tour with À La Française, a tour company, and this was the first stop: the Museum is very educational, the space is well kept and the staff were very accommodating: the free wine tasting was exquisite. Our personal vinter (Noémi) was knowledgeable, polite and spoke perfect English. Highly recommended stop in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Did the prestige tour and tasting. The audio tour was well done and gave us a detailed understanding of the complete process. We had a fantastic tasting with Nicolas learning about each of the vintages, their aromas and taste. Purchased a bottle of my favorite- Les haute de barville. Highly recommend!

Loved the museum, you do the tour yourself with an electronic guide. Highlight to the olfative experience at the end! The tasting was delicious, the service was very polite! Great wines!

Very informative museum and great wine tasting after the self guided tour. We bought some wine and received a discount because we were staying at Mas Juilen chambre d'hotes nearby. Thanks to everyone with team Brotte, we loved our time visiting.

Update: Thanks to Nicolas, we sought out a Brotte wine in Portland, Oregon, and found it! Thanks, Nicolas. :) # The museum was well-curated and informative, giving us the perfect foundation for all of what we would see and taste during the rest of our trip. Highly recommend starting your wine country tour here! As an added bonus, Nicolas, who led us through the tasting, was super knowledgeable about not just the tasting wines but also the region, and gave us great tips on where to go. An overall outstanding experience!

Got there early and avoided all of the queues (seemed busy at the time we left)… Being there at a quieter time was good because I had more of the attention of the sommelier for questions during the tasting. The museum was interesting and I learned a lot about the process and background of wine making here (as a relative newbie to the wine industry). The shop has a large selection of wine and wine related products to buy.

This is a very accessible place, and I'm sure the museum and tasting services are as delightful as the person operating the shop. Unfortunately, with the current pandemic restrictions, they cannot do any tastings, and you cannot currently view the museum. However, if I get a chance to come back here during better times I will definitely visit again. I just really appreciated how welcoming the person was, even knowing she could not offer much. I also love that there is not only parking, but that both the parking lot and the museum have wheelchair and hearing impaired accessible accommodations. These are important actions by any place of business that show their commitment to making sure what is offered is not just for a few. While I know the smaller shops in the city center really cannot offer these same things due to location and size, the historic preservation of the city buildings and streets likely make this impossible for those shops. However, Museum Brotte chose their location and chose to make it accessible, and those choices speak to the character of the business. So, while I couldn't even taste the wine, I did purchase a bottle. And while I couldn't even experience the museum, I am giving them 5 stars, for just being stellar humans in such difficult times.

🤩 The first such wine tasting in France and at such a great place. There is nothing to complain about, I liked the lecture about wines, the tasting as such was great 😉👍. I am from the Czech Republic and I am happy for this experience.

Excellent audio tour with detailed explanation of grapes, terroir and viniculture process. £9 for this and a Prestige Tasting of 5 (yes, five!) wines is excellent value. Guillaume, our guide, was kind, cheerful, patient and full of detailed explanation. Well worth a visit, but better book as we head to high season. Santé !🍷

Excellent for the audio guide and information on the history of the area. Overall, it felt very commercial in nature, and the displays are somewhat dated. The fine print is that this is the cellar door for productions from one family, and I would have expected a museum to be more representative of the Appelation.

Interesting museum, and good wine tasting experience. And they explain everything in details.

Maxime was an excellent sommelier. We learned so much. The tour was enjoyable. The tasting was exceptional.

Lovely little museum, good at explaining the history and process without taking hours upon hours. We bought the "premium" tasting with five wines, but it was a shame that the "sommelier" didn't have time for us, so we left without buying anything. I don't think that what we experienced is normal, but never the less we did so we went elsewhere where they had time.

Maxime was an excellent sommelier. I learned so much and enjoyed the tour immensely. The won't tasting was excellent. Well worth the stop.

Very informative tour via audio guides in many different languages. There are diagrams, pictures and videos along the way to look at while you listen. They have some very old winemaking exhibits (machinery and tools) We did the 12 euro tour (with 5 wines to taste), so once we finished with the audio tour we were given 6 wines (incl a bonus rosé) to taste! A very knowledgeable member of staff (Emele) provided us with the wine, information and answers to any questions.

What a lovely museum! We learned a ton - FYI you can get an audio guide in 6 different languages - and the wines were delicious. I would highly recommend a stop here, sets you up nicely for wine tasting in this beautiful region.

One of the best wine museums I've visited. Information about the land, the grapes and the winemakers. And Vincent was a great sommelier for our tasting!

The explanations provided were interesting, and the wine was enjoyable. However, I found the overall experience to be too commercialized. There was no view of the real winemaking process or outdoor components, which was disappointing. If you're seeking a purely wine-tasting experience in a commercial setting, it might suit your preferences. But if you want a more immersive and authentic experience, you may want to explore other options.

Short: Informative, gorgeous wines Long: A small wine museum with a great audio guide system. You basically look at equipment, maps and videos whilst hearing a explanation (how to plant grapes, what's the speciality of the region, wine harvest and production). We learned a thing or two and afterwards enjoyed a small tasting which in the end lead to buying some wine there. Parking is possible right up front, entrance fee depends on your choice of tasting.

Insightful tour of Chateauneuf du Pape region. Answers many questions of why this wine is so unique. Worth the time.

If you want a crash course in winemaking, come here. Your basic ticket includes wine tasting 3 wines after the visit. We had a tasting done by Maxime who was friendly and helpful. You’ll get an audio guide that gives more information.

Awful staff, if you are here at 11.04 you can't even do the tour.... Probably smoking is more important than taking care of your guests

👍 Vue imprenable mais le lieu est privé. Il n'est possible que d'en faire le tour. Un peu plus haut se trouve, sur la même rive, une halte fluviale qui offre aussi un joli point de vue.
