This Van Gogh Wanderweg is a work of art in itself! Walking down the street you are encountering stations that highlight a particular work by Vincent Van Gogh. The information provided includes background and context to the works of Van Gogh. Many of the stations feature landscapes that are seen in the paintings. Each of the plaques is a large ceramic tile with the painting and text done in the glaze.

(Translated by Google) A great reminder of van Gogh. The trail is marked with van Gogh's painting up to the hospital. It's a shame that the hiking trail is right on the road. That takes away the flair a bit. The hospital itself is an impressive site.

(Translated by Google) Very nice walk culminating towards the asylum where Vincent Van Gogh stayed. We were rather disappointed with the reconstruction of the painter's room. We expected to find the place of inspiration for "Van Gogh's room in Arles", in fact, as the name of the painting suggests, it is not in St Rémy de Provence, but that, at the time where we are, we forget this detail. Very pretty cloister despite everything, but old-fashioned museum.

Pretty little town, with cobblestone streets and bohemian markets at every corner. During his stay here, van Gogh painted some of his most beautiful works, which is a constant reminder that Provence is breathtaking 💚

A pretty place 2 visit in the spring when the flowers are out & we hear birdsong sing. In order to have a feeling 4 the context to Van Gogh's masterpieces in life, we have to discover his arty character & unusual sight. It is a delight to discover and walk around the wanderweg. Here you get a real feeling for his vision, inspiration & 'travel leg'. It is interesting to compare his life here in France with his life in the Netherlands. Having visited the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam I had a better view of the artist & the man. A man who created 2,100 art works with about 860 oil paintings he is one of the most prolific artists of the 19thC. His works inspire modern day artists worldwide. Exhibitions & canvas' with trees & the planet, towns & fields. His wild & colourful paintings 4 our people 2 create & continue 2 build... CAVNbrittanyseas#EFLMUSIC

(Translated by Google) Great idea - this museum is outdoors. It is a walk with statips on the life and work of Van Gogh. You just have to follow the copper-colored "Vincent stumbling blocks" or have a city map or the appropriate app, which I can highly recommend. The stations each show a painting and a commentary on it from letters and other writings by Van Gogh, which offer a brief but informative introduction to the artist's perception of color and form. At the end of the stations you are in front of the former sanatorium, in which van Gogh lived for about a year.

Not well marked therefore difficult to find and follow. Not really a pleasant walk in the nature: now it crosses an ugly part of the city. It's not worth it. If you want to follow Van Gogh's footsteps I suggest St Paul abbey

👍👍 It was formerly the entrance to the city of Glanum. The Jules Mausoleum was erected by the Julii (one of the major Roman families), in honour of their father and grandfather. It is particularly well preserved. It has a rectangular base with four sculpted fasciae, it is surmounted by a triumphal arch...
