I enjoyed this museum. There are many interesting paintings and drawings from the 20th and 21th centuries. I also loved a temporary exhibition of sound art installations place among the pictures. It's a kinda small museum so you don't need to spend the hours to visit it all. What should be improved: the panels are in French and they should at least add English translations. I had to use Google Lens on my phone to understand some descriptions.

A bit of a shrine to the family that established the museum, the Réattu with a sprinkling of modern art and some late works of Picasso. The audio guide is essential if you are not a French speaker, but its average among audio guides and some of the clips are quite long. The building is beautiful and there’s a decent shop on site but if your short on time, you can probably skip this site.

Interesting museum concerning Mr. Réattu, painter and sculptor of Arles. Nice old building with a great view over the river Rhône.

Beautiful museum with some nice pieces from Picasso (24.09.22). Great artworks in metal, wood as well as some audio works.

Just a few Picasso pieces. Real shame they didn’t take advantage of the view at of the Rhone

This is a small but very charming museum. The old (if not ancient) building has an interesting layout and the museum often showcases a playful mix of modern and classical art. From some of the rooms you also get a pretty view over the river. Worth the visit!

Great if you speak French. Otherwise it’s hard to lean much about what you are looking at. I go to museums to learn. Posting all information in French only is pretty limiting to the international visitors who just might not be fluent in the local language.

I really loved the juxtaposition of modern and old art. It gives the experience something intangible fresh.

The painter Jacques Réattu's work is worth discovering and admiring it, but even the museum itself is a beautiful historic building. Don't miss it if you're in Arles and interested in art. Very nice place!

Not my thing but modern art types will like it. They pipe in sounds in various rooms which I suppose is in keeping with the modern art aspect of the place. Still it has a nice courtyard.

It’s a great medieval museum space with lots of artworks from different era curated smartly. It also houses some if Picasso’s works.

Not worth it. Skip and go to the Van Gogh Foundation instead. I did want to buy a postcard but the cashier was in a very loud conversation on the phone. I waited, she saw me but never even acknowledged me. If I hadn’t needed change, I’d left the money. Instead, walked out without buying the card.

The Musee Reattu was much more interesting than the Van Gogh Foundation in that works by the artist after which it is named form 50% or more of those exhibited. the rest showcased photography, modern sculptures and other art.
