This is the most beautiful garden in Avignon, that you can access the bridge. But going up was not easy. Use the access road near the palas papes. Quiete amazing view of the city. I was lucky to capture one of the ducks at the fountain. It's beautiful. Overall its a nice place to visit.

Nice park especially you can see across Rhone River to the forts. Especially nicer at sunrise and sunset.

Ein wirklich sehr schöner Garten. Als ich vor Ort war, war er zwar etwas überlaufen jedoch war es noch aushaltbar. Es gibt schöne Sitzgelegenheiten und ein Café welches aber zu den teureren gehört. Jedoch würde ich auf jeden Fall sagen, dass sich ein Besuch lohnt

Beautiful and refreshing, statues, ponds, flowers and shade from old trees. Visit at different times of the day as the light and shades transforms the view. Even sometimes over crowded, take your time to seat, and let the people and noise pass you.

Ein kleines Highlight neben dem Papst-Palast. Wir hatten die Erfahrung gemacht, dass es günstiger ist, wenn man zu Zeiten hingeht, in denen wenige Touristen vor Ort sind. Das kann früh am Abend sein oder recht früh am Tag. In diesen Zeiten ist es ein kleines Idyll, und man kann hier richtig entspannen und die Ruhe genießen. Der Ausblick ist natürlich atemberaubend. Es gibt auch kleine Kunst Ausstellungen vor Ort.

These are lovely gardens just beyond the Cathedral and almost to easy to miss altogether. There are some stunning views of the bridge and river as well as an interesting exhibition of enlarged black and white photographs dotted around the gardens. There is a delightful cafe in the middle of the grounds alongside a water feature making it a great place to have a sit down whilst having a competitively priced coffee.

A great spot to watch the sun rise over Avignon. Although note the gardens open at 7.30am so it may not be a viable option year-round.

Ein hübscher Park hoch oben gelegen. Von hier aus hat man eine gute Aussicht über das Wasser und den Pont d' Avignon. Es gibt ein kleines, unspektakuläres Café an einem Teich mit Sitzplätzen. Uns hat es hier gefallen.

It is a nice big park with lots of renovations going on. We couldnt enter the chapel/church. You have a very nice view from the park , you have to take a look from all sides of the park to the village downtairs. Very nice an you also can watch the square of the Palais de popes from here out

Lovely garden high upon the heights of Avignon with a beautiful view of the city. Take a drink - the smoothies are great - in the cafe, watch the ducks and swans.

Beautiful oasis of calm with lovely views across the Rhone valley and of the famous pont. Well worth the short uphill stroll from tne Palais des Papes.

If you have a few hours in Avignon, it is worth walking around the city, by the river and in the very beautiful garden north of the Popes' palace (Jardin des Doms) which has free entry. In my opinion the Palace of the Popes is overrated. Internally there is nothing special. It is imposing, but very empty.. If you have a lot of free time you can go.

Beautiful park with views of the entire city. Try to spend some time relaxing here as it’s a wonderful place to be. Probably the best thing we did in Avignon as the Palace of the Popes was a huge disappointment.

A hilltop park with some food, playgrounds for children, fountains- and the real attraction, views of the city of Avignon and the River Rhone. It's a bit of a hike to get up top, but well worth a stop, located right next to the Palace of the Popes.

This is a kids friendly park where you can take a break during Avignon visit, located near the Pont, the Palais and the Cathedral. You will have a clear view of the Pont d’Avignon from the gardens.

Loved it! We went there with our children (2 and 4 years old) and they had a lot of fun. The place is family friendly with a playground, flower and vegetable garden and a gorgeous view. Highly recommended!

A beautiful and relaxing garden next to the previous home of the popes. With its scenic views of Avignon from old town, this tranquil space is a wonderful place to sit back and just enjoy the environment.

Lovely garden with viewpoints over the river and further. Gives you a great impression on how big the palace is. Plenty of shade on a hot and sunny day i the gorgeous city of Avignon. Only shame is that the walk from the garden to the bridge is closed.

Beautiful park with a little restaurant. Views of the pont d’Avignon and over the city. Beautiful fountains. Nice place for a walk and right next to the Palais des papes. Also, there are bunch of benches where you can rest in the sun or shade. Entrance is free. Public toilet at the top, but very very smelly and not clean.
