Site
looked
lovely
initially
and
only
there
for
one
night
on
route
to
the
South.
We
were
offered
two
areas
to
site
our
double
axle
caravans
(travelling
with
friends
and
both
had
brand
new
vans).
River
pitches
were
totally
deserted
apart
from
long
rows
of
campers
but
there
was
an
industrial
weir
nearby
and
it
was
noisy
so
we
chose
pitches
by
shop.
There
is
no
way
a
large
caravan
would
make
the
right
turn
into
the
road
and
our
friend
tried
but
got
his
caravan
stuck
on
a
boulder
and
ripped
off
side
panelling.
Decided
to
abandon
that
area
and
go
back
to
river
pitches.
Got
set
up.
Quickly
realised
the
campers
were
rows
of
illegal
immigrants-
no
wonder
there
were
no
other
caravans
or
people
within
a
huge
area.
We
felt
extremely
vulnerable
and
were
so
far
away
from
anyone
other
than
refugees
we
wouldn't
have
been
able
to
summon
help.
We
called
their
out
of
hours
number
and
were
let
out
through
the
barrier
at
midnight
to
take
our
chances
on
a
motorway
service
area.
There
were
lots
of
lorries
and
caravans
parked
there
and
we
felt
safer.
However,
both
caravans
were
broken
into
in
the
night
while
we
were
sleeping.
All
ok
but
it
was
a
horrible
start
to
our
holiday
-
we
should
never
be
put
in
a
vulnerable
position
by
the
campsite.
Would
never
return.
