What an elegant and charming hotel! Our group of 4 loved our stay at Hotel La Mirande! (And we have repeated our visit many times because it’s so good). The hotel team was professional and friendly, the fabulous Michelin star gastronomic restaurant inside the hotel, outstanding breakfast and the beautiful decorations of the different salons make this hotel so special! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed, our bags were organised to our room and our car was easily valet’ed so we could kick off our holiday. We we were delighted to have a large rooms #15 and 19 with incredible views of the popes palace, big bathrooms and full baths, and a selection of pillows by the housekeeping staff. Every detail was catered for and we were so happy with our stay! Thank you Hotel La Mirande, we will be back!

Hotel is five stars. Excellent service. Wonderful atmosphere and housekeeping is marvelous. The Michelin starred restaurant takes stars away! The service is sloppy. We waited 45 minutes for the check while the staff chatted with a nearby table. The food was terrific but bad treatment at the end left a bad taste in my mouth. I recommend the hotel. I do NOT recommend the restaurant

Great spot for a coffee and outstanding pastry away from the big market square and the tourist cafés for a similar price. Service was friendly and professional.

We visited the tearooms in the Hôtel La Mirande. We had drinks there. It was absolutely delicious! The rooms are beautiful. The details are stunning. I felt like I was in Downton Abbey!

Chefs table was a highlight of our trip in France. An evening to remember. Meeting some fantastic locals while having a dining experience. The rooms reminded me of a musty dollhouse. Perhaps staying in such an old character hotel it should be excluded. But lacking heat and furniture built for tiny people. Rather strange for such a highly rated hotel. But the service was fantastic. And breakfast was excellent. Also the location was ideal.

Cute hotel. Wonderful location. Helpful staff. Just outside of the pope’s palace. Large rooms. Soft beds.

A Wonderful Hotel with a terrific staff and great place to base out of when you want to tour Provence . Breakfast is delicious as was our dinner we enjoyed in the hotel . Thanks to the team there , Anthony , Emily , Kevin , Yannick , and special thanks to Rachid and Yoann for negotiating the narrow “ old town “ roads for us with our oversized SUV ! We look forward to our next visit !

Recently visited La Mirande’s 1 Michelin Restaurant & it was a wonderful experience. Right from the start, fantastic service & beautiful ambience all around. Great host & Sommelier was super helpful too in selecting the wines. Coming to the food, we had 3 selections menu & it was superb. All the courses were excellent in taste & presentation. We had a selection of starters / then seafood followed by meat & desserts… possibly one of the better 1 stars we have visited ! Verdict - a definite winner for the foodies & people who don’t mind spending money on food Budget- meal for 2 easily 300€ plus tips & wines on top Interesting observation - only Michelin restaurant where I have seen babies & dogs

We didn’t stay at the hotel but came for dinner and had to RAVE about it. Hands down - one of the best dinner experiences of my life. Our servers were fantastic, and the food was so creative and delicious. You could taste the love in it. Such a unique touch to bring guests back to the kitchen to experience the magic behind the scenes. We will never forget this dinner!!

A top notch boutique hôtel l, with glorious design and history. The service is impeccable, friendly, personal… the rooms are gorgeously appointed and cozy. From the heavy linen bedsheets to the ample marble soaking tub… it felt like a reprieve from the world. And the restaurants!!! Stunning food and equally sumptuous and diverse dining atmospheres in their variety of offerings. A+!

A repeatly classy cozy unique Hotel Gem. The Popes'palace, that you can touch over the rooms windows, overlooks to its History and incredible location. No adhequate words to express the wonder and feelings. A glass of Chateauneuf du Pape sipped while staring the Popes'Palace let you feel History-dizzy while embracing the Magic of several centuries !! You feel History descending on you. Custom-tailored service is indeed au pair of the wonder you r experiencing. So ?? Magic plenitude wherever you look and breathe. Irreplaceable !!

We did not stay the night and was recommended for wine by a local shop. We had lovely wine and a cheese plate, and our waiter, Octavia, was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Expensive has to be good? WRONG! Property is way way overpriced! Very worn out room. Feels like you stepped into your grandmother's bedroom. Even smells dusty. Shower head's height is at eye level. Had to bend down to take a shower. Minimal and cheap selections at breakfast -- a wide display of jams, dried fruits, even butter on display to make it look full and good but really pathetic. Nothing to eat. Staff very polite and air conditioning good though. 4 course dinner at 190 euros, 4-5 times of what you would be paying at any good restaurants in Avignon! Very disappointed to say the least. Don't know how this could be rated as a 5 star hotel. There's a Mercure Hotel right behind and it charges a fraction of La Mirande. Looks modern and cool. I should have booked Mercure instead.

Beautiful upscale hotel in the Heart of Avignon. Stayed here our first night in Avignon. Loved the convenience of being in the heart of the old city. We booked the “Haute table” dinner experience which was Excellent and a highlight of our trip. Our room was lovely and had a private balcony. Lots of history in this hotel. The dining experience is a MUST if staying here. Food was excellent However it was the entire experience which was magical. We dined in the lower kitchen which is actually part of the old Papal palace starting with a wine tasting in the old cellar was an amazing experience. Fabulous hotel and fabulous dining experience.

The worst guest service I have ever experienced. Unable to pay with a bank transfer because the cost of my stay was more than most credit card limits, and absolutely no interest in trying to help solve the problem. Long story short, if you don't have a platinum MasterCard then don't expect to be made to feel welcome. To add insult to injury, the manager on duty was arrogance personified, barely batting an eyelid whilst his junior member of staff struggled with my complaint. I had restaurant reservations for both dinner as well as the following lunch but they couldn't care less. Meanwhile I had been looking forward to it for weeks as well as hiring a car to make the special journey. In a word, disgraceful...

At check in, we were ‘kindly upgraded’ to room 27. After checking the room, we understood this was not for us. Extremely heavy atmosphere, strong naphthalene smell and limited natural light. We asked the reception to move to the original room (24) which is located on the first floor in front of the Palais des Papes. In a nutshell: - terrible mattress - No sound insulation at all, one can hear everything from the corridor, the conversations from the reception located below the room and the street (1 am bikes and cars parades are a must). Worst night ever. - Half of the power outlets do not work. The steak tartare with truffles is more a mayonnaise with beef than a proper tartare. Waiter couldn’t say the name of the fish of the day in english… Wine was good. Breakfast without etiquettes on the products when we arrived. No alternatives to milk, no vegan or gluten-free products. Waiter couln’d explain the names of the jams and cheeses. Table cloth with a giant hole, FF&Es are outdated in this hotel. Reception staff is helpless, definitely not a 5 star ‘hotel’. Would expect more for 400 eur a night in November. If you are seeking to waste some time and money in a heavy place this is a must, every other reason is trowing money out of the window.

Absolutely top notch service and the dining experience was the highlight of our trip. We had dinner at chef’s table, and both chefs were amazing! We started the dinner at their cellar and enjoyed appetizers while they explained the wines in the region, and then we moved to the kitchen with other lovely guests. We wined and dined while our chef’s preparing the meal. It’s such a great experience. They explained every dish in English and in French and had lovely conversations with the guests. The meal: you can taste the love in the food. The duck as so tender and the sauce was spot on! My husband ended up having two plates. I would just go back to Avignon for the dinner experience. 10 out of 10!

Probably my favourite hotel in France. The service was a bit mixed but they always tried very hard. Fantastic food and just an utterly charming place.
