Warning: Bed bugs! Don't stay here. The room we stayed in (323) was infested with bed bugs. What is worse is that the receptionist was dismissive and insisted it was mosquitos without even checking the pattern of my bites. I had to insist she have the room checked, which I doubt she will do. I travel a lot and unfortunately have had bed bugs several times before and know the difference between mosquitos and bed bugs (3 bits in a row, predominantly on hands and arms, in addition never saw or heard a single mosquito buzzing in my ear which I would have with the numbers of bites I got in my two night stay (over 40 bites!). I wouldn't recommend the hotel not just for the bed bugs, but mostly their indifference to having them.

A friend and I stayed in Bristol hotel for 2 weeks and to be honest it was kinda hard to find sth really positive except the great location. So the best part of this hotel is definitely Maeva (one of the receptionists). She is always so kind, courteous, attentive and helpful. When she was at the reception, it usually improved the atmosphere a lot, she is great. But the rest of the hotel isn't great at all. First of all the room looked totally different to the modern ones on the photos which you can see on the website. It looked kinda old, even the paint was already chipped off next to the bathroom door. And second it was kinda dirty, as we arrived, there were still hairs on the bed (which was also kinda uncomfortable to be honest) and in the bathtub, it didn't seem to be cleaned well at all. There was even pink nail polish on the bathtub, never experienced sth like that in a 4 star hotel. I also never experienced that I needed to ask for toilet paper because the room service wasn't able to add it. And it was also annoying that you always had to ask when you wanted to get the room cleaned. And then there was also the breakfast. It was basically a joke, really poor but also so expensive (15 euros per person) although there isn't even a big selection. I would recommend to save this money and go instead to a nice café in Avignon. So all in all it was kinda disappointing. I would give 1 star, thank to Maeva they get a 2nd one, basically that should be the real rating of this hotel.

Great location, the rooms look stylish, big selection at breakfast. The rooms were not in good condition, definitely not taken good care of by guest and the hotel is not putting an effort to repair damages. On our floor, I believe it was the second floor, the whole hallway smelled like mold. The ac is not working at all, we ended up opening the window overnight. Please, consider booking another place to stay at. Room was smelly, didn’t have good airflow and got super hot. We have stayed in another places in Avignon and there was no problem with other buildings. If you take a shower afterwards you’ll feel like you’re in a rainforest. The humidity in the room is unbearable (again, ac not working) and the water from the shower floods the bathroom. Wouldn’t go back…

The hotel has nice rooms and is in a great location. The hotel seems recently renovated, as everything seemed almost new. Staff was very helpful to suggest authentic restaurants instead of tourist traps. Breakfast had many offerings.

I booked the hotel because the interior design was so pretty. The facilities were very clean and the staff were kind! The breakfast was varied. it was close to the station and square, so nice.

Big king bed. Roomy bathroom but not all have a tub. Quiet. Easy walking within the old city. Downside are the stairs to the lobby and elevator if you have heavy luggage.

Very nice hotel 5 minutes walking from main attractions. Perfect if you come by car as there is a big parking just in front of it. Clean and spacious room, really above the average in this area ☺️ Nice furniture and design in the room and in common area. It is really nice to see it and walk around. More to this, really good price value, recommended!

Nice hotel with big rooms. Free lemon infused water and croissant and pastries near the reception. Nice lavazza coffee machine in the room. Good body lotion, shampoo and soap. I don't like that the bathroom is separate from the toilet.

Fantastic hotel, just a stones throw from the rail station and it was lovely and comfortable.

Internet very very slow. Shower area looks like a swimming pool as the water floods everything. Takes too much for the hot water to arrive

great location, at the center of everything and the train station walking distance. had a problem with the rooms though it was so hot and AC was weak. We also had one of our lights busted which the staff had to fix the ff day.. there was also an akwardly foul smell everytime we walked into the room. overall it was still a good stay because of its location!

Horrible hotel. No air conditioning, i complained and they just said that they know it's not working but they can not fix it. I booked a room with minibar and air-conditioning and it hasn't any of these. The only excuse we received was thar they were full and there was nothing they could do. We also booked the room with the minibar(which is white basic for a 4* hotel) but there wasn't any. I let them know that i need to put some special medicines on the fridge, this is main reason why i booked it, and the only solution they gave me was to leave them on their fridge. Obviously, i wasn't going to leave all my insulin there, but they really didn't care as there wasn't any room available with the conditions that i booked. So please, if you book a room in this hotel, make sure that what you have booked is what you get. Location is good and that's because of that, i give them 2 *. Never come back again, i would rather stay in a camping or a motel. I've never seen a 4 star hotel like this. Unbelievable.

Well located and common areas and bedrooms seemed recently and tastefully decorated in an art deco style. However, we had some maintenance issues in our room (loose toilet seat and lid, basin tap not fixed in place) and the air conditioning was so poor as to be completely ineffective. It was a central air flow system rather than individual room AC units and the air coming from the vent was barely colder than outside. Having made sure to book somewhere that claimed to have AC to make sure we got a good night's sleep this was extremely disappointing. After we insisted it wasn't working properly they did try to help by getting us fans and trying an alternative room but it didn't really help much given the use of the central AC system. Sound insulation from other rooms was poor so we heard people coming home late, walking around above us, and banging through the walls

Correct hotel for a small countryside village. Room size pretty acceptable and bed comfortable. Lack of pillow variety and a bit old fashioned bathroom. It was unclear if it is a 3* or 4* hotel. Besides that breakfast was very correct with plenty of French classics. Coffee was good but short milk options. Good option when you’re on your way. Ps: Animals friendly!

My family and I stayed there a month ago. I emailed them about the problems we had the day after we checked out and they have not responded. As is obvious to anyone who goes outside, we are in the midst of a global heat wave. We booked a suite and trusted the 4 star rating. The second we entered the room it was obvious the air conditioning was not working. It was steaming hot in the room. I immediately went downstairs to complain and they said they would fix it. We returned later in the evening and the a/c was still not working. So I went down to the front desk to complain again. Their solution was to bring up an electric fan! I figured okay it’s late. Maybe engineering has gone home. We had to sleep with the windows wide open (which the room was not designed for as there were no screens) which did not help much. The next morning I went down to complain again and they promised to fix it. My family and I then went left for our full day and evening of activities. When we returned late in the evening again the room was steaming hot. Again I complained and finally the person on duty admitted that air conditioning on the third floor does not work very well!!! We spent almost $500 per night for this room. The next morning when we were checking out I asked to talk to the general manager or owner. They were not surprisingly unavailable. I asked for a name and email address as we had to leave for the airport to fly back to the U.S. I was given the name of the manager, Mr. Debattiska. I emailed him the day after we got home on July 11 describing exactly what I have detailed here. No response. Even a simple apology would have gone a long way.

I have stayed in many Hotels Bristol and my previous experience motivated me to book at the Avignon hotel. It’s not much of a match for the others but how any Bristol hotel could have a guest stay in room 116 (and I believe there are other rooms that are similar) is nothing but insulting. How does this even begin to make sense? A 4 star hotel selling 2 star rooms?

We had a wonderful stay at Hôtel Le Bristol in Avignon. The hotel was located very close to the Avignon center train station, which made getting there a breeze. The rooms and dining areas were tastefully decorated with an art deco flair which created a nice ambiance. The staff was very friendly and courteous, helping us with plenty of recommendations and making meal reservations.

I had a great experience staying in this hotel. It’s just 2-3 minutes away from the train station and the central street leads you right to the main square. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. There were pastries available in the lobby at any time of day. The staff was helpful with the recommendations and they even made a few reservations for me.

The hotel is in a great location, so close to all the attractions. The staff who greeted us were very friendly and professional. We were delighted how fresh and modern our room felt. The only criticism I have is the bed; it was only a double, but we slept fine all the same as there was no noise to disturb us throughout our stay. I would recommend it to anyone going to Avignon.

Stayed here in December and for the price payed it's definitely a huge value. Location is very good, close to the center and there are plenty of restaurants and pubs around. Ok, it's a little old fashioned but the bed is comfortable, room was warm with the AC on and most important it was very quiet.

Omg what a gem! This hotel breathes the Wes Anderson universe. Attention to detail that is repeated in all the hotel. It might seem a budget hotel om the cover but breathes luxury with a wink to the past. We were welcomed with such a positive happy receptionist late at night to add the cherry to the top. The person who has renovated, has much love for design and you can tell. If you're on the fence, just allow yourself a little surprise.

Arrived and had to wait till after 18 o’clock until we could get a clean room. No compensation in any way was offered. Comfortable beds, clean room and nice interior. Shower was a bit to small for me.

Arrived here and got a room where WC room had no door direct to the bed, neither did the shower (first picture). When mentioning in reception we got our room changed to one with a proper bathroom. Friendly staff and helpful. Other room could do with some fixes (water leaks under lavabo) so there is room for improvement. Bed was not most comfortable, bit crooked. Giving 4 stars because of a great location and substantial good price breakfast. This can become a solid 4.0 rated hotel

A nice, clean hotel right in the middle of lots of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Be sure to see the building side light show. Very nice indoor sitting area.. One thing, though. The website pictures of the rooms here look much larger than the rooms (at least our room) actually are. In fact, they are quite small. The bed takes up 80% of the room space. But the Hotel Bristol is a good place for a short stay.

Couldn't be better. Staff very friendly, we needed to leave very early and they made breakfast just for us. Needed a taxi very early and booked it without any problems. Breakfast is amazing, rooms are very clean and hotel is very stylish overall. Would recommend!
