Pollen did everything beautifully, from the soft golden spotlights over the tables to the food presentation to the music playing in the background. The food was delicious, beautiful, and surprising. The staff took turns bringing out the dishes, and they were all lovely people. It was a pleasure to dine here.

Our experience at Pollen was out of this world. Every detail is thoughtful and perfect, from the entrance of candles and truffle lights to the quality and taste of every bit of food. The simplistic style created a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy superb foods. You just have to go!

Must be one of the top restaurants in town, totally deserves its Michelin star rating. Very nice interior design. Super attentive and caring staff. I was given a very good big table looking directly at the kitchen even though I was a solo customer. I tried the 6-course carte-blanche tasting menu at a good price of 80EUR. The foods were delicious, creative and very well presented on the beautiful crafted plates and bowls. I felt so pampered. The suggested organic rose wine was a good recommendation too. Definitely will be back again the next time I’m Avignon. Advance booking essential for both lunch and dinner.

Booked a table for lunch as the small highlight of our summer holiday. And what a highlight it turned out to be! Beautiful location with a classy but comfortable interior (loved the Carl Hansen chairs and round tables!). Spontaneously decided to go for six courses, I had the wine pairing. And it was sublime! The courses were so flavourful and the taste so satisfying. Loved everything, from the courgette blossom with fish mousse to the salad and the unbelievably delicious pasta side. The fennel with the piece of lard… wow! Wine pairing was also on point and harmonised perfectly with the courses. On top the staff was incredibly nice, very attentive and gave also a laid back but 100% super professional atmosphere. Mathieu Desmarest has a great team and it was amazing to see them work together in an open kitchen and also be able to say hello to him at the table. An absolute gem. We will definitely visit Avignon again and get another reservation!

When in Avignion Pollen should be a must, if you don’t derail with drinks and wine the tasting menu is very affordable for a 1 Michelin star restaurant. We went for wine paring which is an extra 80€ I think plus an extra bottle of wine plus extra glasses of orange wine for aperitivo and shots after dessert and cheese player. So loads of extras! But’s still worth it

Ambitious food in a stunning location, the place to reserve for dinner when in Avignon. I love it when I am coming to a restaurant that I am visiting for the first time and the location alone is already making me feel good. Located off a small street in a back alley, the place seems super new, is softly lit and has a well-designed seating area facing an open kitchen. An hour into the dinner service the place is packed to the last seat and the vibe is elegant, lively and cosmopolitan. The sequence of food (carte blanche menu concept) was immaculate and the Michelin star is here in good hands. Really enjoyed how the dishes incorporated local flavors with a clear nod towards Japan. Particularly strong dishes were a salad with butter dressing, a seared tuna from Portugal with plum and katsuobushi and the main dish of veal. Wine list is quite short, but focused. The bottle of champagne and the medium bodied white wine from the region selected by the sommelier were spot on. Did not know the labels so not sure about mark up, but who cares if all around is that good. If in Avignon, I would book again.

I walked in for lunch with no reservation. I got the 90 euro 5 course degustation set. It’s an amazing culinary journey. Every dish is flavorful and beautifully decorated.

Not easy to find but you must persevere … it’s worth it ! Just visited this restaurant today with my wife as a birthday lunch. Wow it was superb Nice modern, well lit restaurant with plenty of space between the tables - it was FULL at lunchtime The food is innovative, beautifully presented and utterly delicious. The menu selected is a Chef’s surprise, so you don’t know what is going to arrive. However the Team does check for allergies and intolerance. We had wine pairings selected by sommeliere Claire (she chose, presented and explained perfectly her selection of French wines which even we didn’t know. Some great surprises which were delicious and both complimented & enhanced the food. The service was delightful under the leadership of Pierre. We were served by the delightful, respectful and ever smiling Lisa and Claire. Big thanks to the Chef and his Team for a wonderful experience. Definitely one of the best 1 star Michelin restaurants which we have ever visited

This was one of the best Michelin star experiences I've had yet, second only to 3 star Addison Del Mar(and it was close). The menu was excellent, and the dishes were cohesive and not overwhelming. The ambiance is relaxed and modern while remaining polished and refined. Each member of the staff will present a dish, including the executive chef. The wine list is extensive, and the sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with our choice. The 2005 Domaine Puech Lazert was a perfect bottle from a lesser-known, but excellent producer. All in all, it was probably the most enjoyable dining experience I've ever had.

Had an amazing time here. The place is nestled behind an alley and mini courtyard and inside the restaurant was super cute and decorated very well. Absolutely loved the food and the service, everyone was so nice and attentive. And even the chef came out to introduce one of the courses to our table, a great addition to our experience! Every dish he made for us was spectacular and tasty. I’m absolutely coming back, amazing experience all around.

Superb meal!! Everything was perfect. My husband and I had the 7 course blind tasting plus cheese with wine recommended by sommelier. Hope we can pass through Avignon again soon.

Great lunch experience, food and service superb. Excellent food for a good value. You can spend the same or similar amount elsewhere and not be as satisfied with the food.
