Arrived and was promptly nodded to a table and chairs. Menus and waitress arrived 15 minutes later. The waitress was pleasant and appeared to be the only one serving 20 patrons. Waited an hour for starters. I couldn't help overhear the table next to us vigorously state the the same. I had to ask for bread that arrived without butter or cutlery. (Starters) Oysters were satisfactory but served with a slice of butter and lemon? The calamari falafel was ridiculous in taste and culinary creativity. (Mains)The fish was fresh but any chef that does not value seabass enough to scale it before grilling is an embarrassment to French chefs. (Dessert) Lost our appetites and left. At €14 a mackerel, you could do significantly better for a lot cheaper at nearby places. Look at my pics for more info. Atmosphere was good - Retro LPs being played in the background salvaged the place to a 1 star. The rest is regrettably unforgivable.

La Petite Pêche is a fantastic restaurant. The ambiance, the food, and wait staff were all crème de la crème. Although over used, this is a “charming” French restraint. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Would highly recommend.

A hidden gem. I was on my way to a popular restaurant when I saw this little restaurant. The cozy decoration immediately caught my attention. Specialized in sea food, this restaurant offers freshly cooked fish cuisine. I ordered the evening menu which contains 3 courses. The fish was properly cooked with beautiful golden color and smelled great. The yogurt was the highlight. The herbal source was something I’ve never had before. P.S. they play music from a vintage player! Stylish.

Me and my partner visited this place on Saturday night. Got a table straight away and the waitress was very nice and helped us out with translating the menu. We ordered oysters and calamari to start and a seabream and makrel for mains. From there it was all downhill I'm afraid. Our starters arrived 1h20min later. By then I was more sleepy than hungry. Decent oysters. Calamari on the other hand were dreadful. Cut into very large pieces and covered in garam masala coating which apart from being a weird combination failed to stay on. Couldn't eat it so asked for bread instead. Both fishes (mains) were fresh, served on the bone. Both of our side dishes were plain, not seasoned and didn't not compliment fish as intended by default. The skin on seabream was partially scaled so had to be left on plate untouched. We didn't order wine nor desserts and the bill came to 64 Euro (70 with a tip as the waitress was helpful)!!! A total rip off. We went out to various places in Nice and Cannes before coming to Avignon and had much better meals for this sort of budget. An hour after the meal I'm having a heartburn. Please do yourself a favour and stay clear of this place.

Very awesome crew, tasty food, and a place where you can really enjoy your meal, after walking miles and miles. We loved the house rose wine a lot. We will come again!

Very tasty seafood dishes. We had the Fisherman's Salad which was just a starter, but large enough to pass for a main course. The day menus are also very good, including the Creme Brulé dessert. The staff doesn't speak English, but they have a la carte menus in English.

Great and cozy spot with delicious food and wine. The owner was entertaining and the decor eclectic. Bouillabaisse and langoustine dishes were ridiculously huge at a great price which added to the charm. You will not leave this place hungry!

Very good seafood restaurant. Limited choice but the fish was fresh and the portions very large, my starter felt like a main dish ! The cook was serving food at first which made us unsure but a waiter turned up shortly afterwards and everything was great afterwards. Very tasty and good price.

This is the best meal we had on our trip to the provence. The salmon was very tasty, good cold beer and very friendly staf. We had our 13 month old son with us they cooked extra food for him and there is a good babychair. Thank you !

This is five-star seafood served amid one-star decor. Do not be daunted by the tawdry, glaring lighting and mismatched tables and chairs. The food is extraordinary, well-prepared, and a great value. We had the 28-euro menu, with starters of oysters (5 of them) and moules (mussels) served in a delicious cream sauce, also a generous serving.. The main courses of grilled salmon and sea bream were expertly done. Then créme brulée and a mango dish for dessert; also delicious. The Petit Peche is flanked by better-capitalized, professionally decorated restaurants that have tablecloths and candlelight. La Petit Peche is a little fish in that league. However, if you're looking for excellent seafood at moderate prices, try La Petit Peche.

We made a reservation and received a confirmatory email. When we arrived it was evident the place had been permanently closed for a long time, as explained by the Notice de Fermeture on the door
