Restaurant French restaurant

🫤 The restaurant was under staffed. Only one young waitress serving many tables. Unfortunately the waitress was overwhelmed and frustrated. We witnessed this for 10 to 15 minutes while waiting for a table. We left without being seated. Felt sorry for both the waitress and the customers. Lovely setting but unfortunately was not open when we arrived (despite hours on Google). We ended up at another restaurant on the square

Absolute recommendation! The menu is changing on a daily basis, depending what fresh produce was bought at the market that day, all dishes are incredibly creative, well thought through and executed to perfection. They grow part of the produce themselves and work with local farmers (e.g. the supplier of the amazing goats cheese, that owns only about 20 goats.) The 2 waiters were very kind, welcoming and gave great wine recommendations. The prices are absolutely fair for the amazing quality you get. Card payment possible (since it was mentioned in other reviews that it’s not possible - this must be related to the previous owner). We went twice in 2 days because it was so good and could have not been an happier about this choice. The photo quality doesn’t do the food any justice - I can only recommend to go and experience this amazing restaurant yourself!

Easily one of the best meals of my life! We wondered into this charming square on a friend's recommendation and ended up chatting with one of the waiters of the restaurant, who explained they change the menu daily according to the seasonable produce they find on the market. Intrigued, we booked a table for dinner, which was nothing short of a revelation. We were so impressed by the quality of the food and by the execution that we decided to go back the next day (the advantage of an ever-changing menu is there's always something new you can discover tomorrow). Over these two days we had a chance to sample starters, mains, meat, seafood, dessert, cheeses... all expertly paired with wonderful wines, who were recommended to us by the attentive staff. A truly phenomenal gastronomic experience.

Superb restaurant on a small square in the centre of Avignon. Professional and serious chefs making well balanced dishes, great wine selection and very friendly staff. We came in winter and interior is Cosy – we will be back!

Adored this lovely restaurant under the plane trees in a quiet square in Avenue. The menu makes the most of local fresh produce and is perfectly cooked. Service is absolutely impeccable. Highly recommend.

This was perfection. The food was sublime- the quality of local ingredients was outstanding and the service was spot on - they really have got this right. This was our best meal in Avignon by far. Highly recommend!

Under new ownership since April 2023. The reception and service were excellent. A friendly and very professional team of the highest quality. The food was very well presented, innovative and delicious. We are dinner two days in succession and we're constantly surprised by the variety of tastes and the skill of the chef. A great find in a lovely church square in Avignon. Bravo !

Was hungry after a long drive to Avignon and decided to stop by after seeing that they had a patio in a courtyard outside. It definitely did not disappoint! We were not expecting much (actually thought the menu was fairly limited with only 3 entrées for lunch) but it ended up being one of the best meals we have had so far on our trip to France! We got the fish dish and pork belly. We don't pay much attention to how our meals look but the presentation was just amazing with beautifully plated dishes. 👏 We were a bit blown away. The food itself was DELICIOUS though, once we had a bite. The fish was soft and almost melts in your mouth; it was the same with the pork belly! I'm not a fan of pork but it was just SO soft. I loved every bite of it and wish we had more. Portions were not big (ended up grabbing snacks to eat after) but the food is really great. :)

What an amazing gem, hidden in a beautiful piazza in Avignon. The food and wine were absolutely delicious and the service was incredibly friendly. I also loved that they had good vegetarian options - not ‘meat dishes without the meat’ but actual, original vegetarian dishes. The waitress who is also the (co-)owner told me that she and her partner opened the restaurant only two weeks ago (taking over from the previous owners). Running a restaurant so well after having been open for only 2 weeks is not a small feat. I highly recommend!

One of the best restaurants we visited in Provence. The service was exquisite, the setting just perfect and the food out of the world. Locally sourced produce and suppliers really focussing on seasonality. The perfect waitress could not have been more kind or perfect in her recommendations and arrive. So happy we found this place and we would love to return.

Charming, leafy courtyard space with tables at a comfortable distance. Prompt, friendly service, willing to let me use my rusty, high-school French. A tasty, attractive risotto, a glass of solid house red, and an excellent brioche pain perdu. Very highly recommended. As others have noted: bring cash!

Excellent staff, service, atmosphere and - the best risotto I’ve ever had. Cash only and suggest getting there sooner rather than later as the tables fill up quickly. Would highly recommend!

Don't let yourself get tempted by the cosy terrace on a nice square! We did and were thouroughly disappointed. We were seated at a table which hadn't been cleared yet. No problem, had it been done within a reasonable time. In spite of our effort the waitress simply ignored us and happened to be deaf as well. After FORTY-FIVE minutes exactly, she came to our table and cleared it partly. We asked for the menu and got one card for the 2 of us. Then we had to ask for the wine-card. She just smacked it on the table. After a little while another girl (dressed in black) came to take our order. Ten mins later we still had no drinks. Then I asked the 1st waitress for our wine. Reaction : the other girl took your order!! After I insisted she did take the trouble to ask her collegue for our wine. 3 mins later our food arrived. My Asian salad was not too bad for taste. Yet the lettuce was not crispy at all. I had the impression, the dressing had been added hours before. Moreover 3 shrimps on a shrimp salad is rather mediocre, I think. In short service was Simply non-existent, the waitresses, especially the first one, was just rude. This was Sun Sept 7th

Disappointing restaurant, the Risotto is of a very regular quality and with green peas on it .... , tiger prawns not very tasty. They do not accept credit card, so make sure you have cash.

The ambiance with shady courtyard terrace is very nice and drew us in despite the reviews, but indeed the food and service were a mixed bag. One waitress was very nice, another was extremely rude and didn’t know her own wine list, and snapped at me to “speak English” when I ordered a glass she didn’t recognise, then brought the wrong one anyway! The food was ok, but definitely nowhere near as good as other places we have eaten in town.

Best food in a long time. Great appetizers and great main meal ended by a delicious desert. For the first time in my life Drang but wine. Soo tasty. And Rinquiquin.

Nice local restaurant not far from the city centre. Food was delicious, we had the vegetarian truffle risotto (couldn’t see or taste the truffle but was still very nice) and the duck (medium rare cooked very well paired with a caramelized sauce and very smooth mash potatoes). Service was fantastic, local waitress who have decent English and proactive in making our dining experience very romantic. It’s a romantic venue under a big tree, highly recommend !

Delicious but you pay for it (like most French dining). Very friendly and nice atmosphere. Wish I was served tap water instead of being charged.
