Excellent service at reception and breakfast. Clean through out. Shame pool out of action but better than risking problems. Understand phone problems. One comment.. room double but only one of each type coffee and tea in the room we shared. Plus no biscuits as in the past. Will stay again

AWFUL EXPERIENCE (FAULTY TOWERS?) Wanted to have a little night away from the building site that is my house. We decided to spend a night at this hotel. Rooms are small compared to equivalent hotels. We took the executive room with a terrace (ch 159). It was cold as the freezing air entered around the window edges. We alerted the receptionist upon arrival about a loose bath panel that we had spotted but just for their information to get it fixed before the summer season started. We were looking forward to relaxing in the spa the pool was a cool 26°C and the sauna was 'under maintenance' which was later clarified as being permanently out of service due to mould. Therefore I would say that the advertising of this hotel is false it cannot be considered a 'spa' or 'wellness center' with only a cold pool and small gym. We went back to the room to warm up while in the bath I realised that the 'jet function' didn't work and there was no sign that could alter someone to it being out of order. Before leaving to eat we mentioned this to the receptionist and they don't work anymore and the description has been removed from websites as the baths having jets. They also mentioned that the sauna had also been removed from websites as it was permanently out of order. However when we checked the hotel website the sauna opening hours were still present and a pop up for valentines day was visible so they had obviously had access to the site recently. After returning to the hotel around 11pm I wanted to warm up so started running the bath little did we realise that the jet function had turned on (no idea how) and the button was glowing. This started chucking out water like waves into the bathroom and there was no way to stop it as the button did not work. We took out the room card and found ourselves in the dark. After scrambling in the dark (as whenever the card was put back in the 'wave machine' would start again). We went down to reception and asked the person to come look at the problem. They asked me to explain, clearly exasperated they said well we will just change your room as they were tired of dealing with room problems. We showed the problem and were promptly moved to another room (ch 146). This room did not have a terrace or balcony like the other room but we were glad to be warm and no sign of jets on the bath. Next morning I was billed for the executive room which we refused to pay for as we didn't sleep in that room so on discussion we paid the classic room rate. I get the impression that the staff really are doing the best they can in a bad situation however excuses only go so far. They should have the authority to be able to make some kind of goodwill gesture. I don't think we will be returning to any Best Western anytime soon.

We stopped at the Best Western for one night on our way to Paris from Toulouse. The hotel was quiet, with ample parking and a good restaurant. But what makes this hotel outstanding was the efforts the staff to help us retrieve some important papers we had left behind in our room. We discovered this when we reached our next stop in Lyon. The Best Western staff were contacted and helped us retrieve the papers the next morning when the guest who was now occupying the room had checked out. Our trip was saved. We drove back to Avignon from Lyon and retrieved the papers and then drove to Paris to catch our flight. Thank you Best Western staff for your help. If we are ever back in Avignon we will definitely choose your hotel

Wunderschöne Hotelanlage! Konnten leider wegen dem Wetter die Außenanlagen mich nutzen, aber alles sehr schön angelegt. Sehr netter Service! Restaurant Top!!!! Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Alleine dafür lohnt sich der Aufenthalt. Zimmer (einfachste Kategorie) dagegen nur OK.

Over priced, but quite clean. Its breakfast was quite poor, restricted to the bear minimum.

Nice room and staff but the city has lot's of trash on the streets and a lot of stuff was broken. What let me feel unsafe in the evening to walk to the hotel.

The room was good, even though some design decisions are questionable. Specifically, the balcony turned out to be shared with the room next door, but it wasn't a big deal because it was too cold to hang out there anyway. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was nice - better than one would normally expect from a network hotel.

We stayed at Best Western Plus for 3 nights in May. The outdoor area and breakfast/restaurant are very nice. The rest leaves a lot to be desired for the price charged: the rooms are tiny, noise from the corridor is heard loud and clear in the rooms as the soffit is open, the kettle was broken (and we informed staff twice about this), the breakfast understaffed and not much variety available (with a huge number of items and even plates being unavailable at times). In addition, the (empty) mini bar in our room didn't work: it was on and at the highest setting but the water was room temperature at all times. The bathroom door didn't close properly and left a gap of approximately 1 or 2cm.

It has free parking, a big plus. The location of the hotel is not so good. It is about 3 km far from the Avignon wall. Waking is not recommended as the streets are always has no people. There's a bus stop nearby. If you don't wanna drive or walk, you can try the bus. Its room has a tub for you to relax. The refrigerator in my room is broken. There is a complimentary carton of water inside the refrigerator. However, it is at room temperature. The water has a stale smell. I drank water I bought after giving it a taste. As the refrigerator is broken, the staff asked me to store the yogurt I bought at the refrigerator in the kitchen. Whenever I want to eat yogurt, I need to go to the front desk to ask them to get my yogurt. It is really weird. Breakfast is decent with a nice view of the backyard

UPDATE: when we checked in a couple of days ago after a long journey by car, we found that the restaurant was fully booked for a meeting of automobile enthousiasts. When we asked if we could have room service, this was denied. When I begged to make anything for my pregnant wife, who was not feeling well and desperately needed some food - a salad, a soup, a fried egg anything would do - this was refused also. We were advised to drive to the nearby mall and get some take away food there. I have never felt so unwelcome in a hotel. What is the point of a restaurant if you cannot serve your guests? When I complained about this in the email survey they sent me afterwards, I got an email from the hotel management saying they were sorry but I should have made a reservation. How was this going to be possible if the restaurant was fully booked anyway? Anyway, after having stayed here a few times, I wiil definitely NEVER COME BACK AGAIN. —- Stayed here one night on way my to the south. Nice and very friendly staff, room was good and quiet, although a bit on the small side, but perfect for a stopover. Good breakfast

The location is okay and Parking as well. The room for 4 starts hotel looks dirty. The bed has the wall decoration with the artificial Leder and was with holes and scratches. We got the other room but the next guest later got the room and also went with the request for the change. How is it possible to do such service??????

Lovely hotel outside Avignon. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Parking on the premises a real gem of a hotel. Breakfast is very good. Oliver at the front desk was very nice, accommodating and helpful. Be sure to visit Maison de la Tour restaurant when visiting Avignon. Ask Oliver the best way to find it, as it is within the ancient walls. A real gem of a restaurant with an amazing chef Pascal Barnouin. You will be amazed by this ancient city.

Our room was wonderful for a family of four. Updated and and staff was helpful. Indoor and outdoor pool was wonderful! It did look like some rooms were not all updated so make sure you ask for the newest rooms

Each time I return to this little paradise hotel set in magical surroundings, the experience is even more special. Uniquely in my experience, Hotel Lavarin has offered me a true bespoke service with its exceptional standards - preparing exquisitely designed exotic health salads not on the regular menu, serving gloriously made desert delicacies and drinks anywhere and any time by request in the idyllic gardens, arranging precisely the exact perfectly peaceful room to my request, and all conducted with the finest discreet style by each and every one of the staff. They are meticulously chosen and supervised by the elegant and urbane and supremely tasteful owners Patricia and Simon and their superbly resourceful and devotedly committed manager Bastien, who takes the greatest trouble to ensure that each guest is personally looked after as ideally as possible. All this in a true beauty spot that calms and heals the stresses of life in a matter of minutes. Try having a gourmet dinner sitting outside in the peaceful quiet underneath the plane trees watching the sun set over the gardens - I know of no more therapeutic experience.

Located just outside Avignon the entire structure is hidden behind a gate (you always have to ring the bell to get it through no matter via car or walk). The structure is rustic modern and very clean. Staff very attentive and good food (we only tried the breakfast). Big park with swimming pool. Small indoor swimming pool with sauna a little fitness center.

We had 4 nights in a wonderful family suite and returned 5 days later for a 2 nights layover in an executive suite. Sadly in the exec suite the aircon was not working, the wifi was lacking and outside there was a fan that made it impossible to use the terrace. So -choose the famikmly suite and stay away fron the exec.
