AWFUL
EXPERIENCE
(FAULTY
TOWERS?)
Wanted
to
have
a
little
night
away
from
the
building
site
that
is
my
house.
We
decided
to
spend
a
night
at
this
hotel.
Rooms
are
small
compared
to
equivalent
hotels.
We
took
the
executive
room
with
a
terrace
(ch
159).
It
was
cold
as
the
freezing
air
entered
around
the
window
edges.
We
alerted
the
receptionist
upon
arrival
about
a
loose
bath
panel
that
we
had
spotted
but
just
for
their
information
to
get
it
fixed
before
the
summer
season
started.
We
were
looking
forward
to
relaxing
in
the
spa
the
pool
was
a
cool
26°C
and
the
sauna
was
'under
maintenance'
which
was
later
clarified
as
being
permanently
out
of
service
due
to
mould.
Therefore
I
would
say
that
the
advertising
of
this
hotel
is
false
it
cannot
be
considered
a
'spa'
or
'wellness
center'
with
only
a
cold
pool
and
small
gym.
We
went
back
to
the
room
to
warm
up
while
in
the
bath
I
realised
that
the
'jet
function'
didn't
work
and
there
was
no
sign
that
could
alter
someone
to
it
being
out
of
order.
Before
leaving
to
eat
we
mentioned
this
to
the
receptionist
and
they
don't
work
anymore
and
the
description
has
been
removed
from
websites
as
the
baths
having
jets.
They
also
mentioned
that
the
sauna
had
also
been
removed
from
websites
as
it
was
permanently
out
of
order.
However
when
we
checked
the
hotel
website
the
sauna
opening
hours
were
still
present
and
a
pop
up
for
valentines
day
was
visible
so
they
had
obviously
had
access
to
the
site
recently.
After
returning
to
the
hotel
around
11pm
I
wanted
to
warm
up
so
started
running
the
bath
little
did
we
realise
that
the
jet
function
had
turned
on
(no
idea
how)
and
the
button
was
glowing.
This
started
chucking
out
water
like
waves
into
the
bathroom
and
there
was
no
way
to
stop
it
as
the
button
did
not
work.
We
took
out
the
room
card
and
found
ourselves
in
the
dark.
After
scrambling
in
the
dark
(as
whenever
the
card
was
put
back
in
the
'wave
machine'
would
start
again).
We
went
down
to
reception
and
asked
the
person
to
come
look
at
the
problem.
They
asked
me
to
explain,
clearly
exasperated
they
said
well
we
will
just
change
your
room
as
they
were
tired
of
dealing
with
room
problems.
We
showed
the
problem
and
were
promptly
moved
to
another
room
(ch
146).
This
room
did
not
have
a
terrace
or
balcony
like
the
other
room
but
we
were
glad
to
be
warm
and
no
sign
of
jets
on
the
bath.
Next
morning
I
was
billed
for
the
executive
room
which
we
refused
to
pay
for
as
we
didn't
sleep
in
that
room
so
on
discussion
we
paid
the
classic
room
rate.
I
get
the
impression
that
the
staff
really
are
doing
the
best
they
can
in
a
bad
situation
however
excuses
only
go
so
far.
They
should
have
the
authority
to
be
able
to
make
some
kind
of
goodwill
gesture.
I
don't
think
we
will
be
returning
to
any
Best
Western
anytime
soon.
