We stayed overnight in the nearby Best Western hotel and went here for a dinner. Really impressed with the quality of food and service - completely unexpected and very pleasantly surprised! Staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome! The place itself seems to be popular with locals and pleasantly looking inside with a big open grill. We took two adult menus (starter, main course with side, dessert and wine) and one child menu. All together we paid 40 eur.

Very conveniently reachable walking few hundred meters from the airport: this is the real plus of this restaurant!. Price almost aligned with French very high prices. Food not special but acceptable.

I cannot say enough positive things about the staff at this restaurant. We stopped to eat on a hot day after walking around L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue market. After my husband began eating, he started to feel unwell. He slumped over and I ran to ask for an ambulance. I do not speak any French so one of the managers came to stay with us and translate. A firefighter in the restaurant gathered info to tell the emergency dispatcher. The waiters packed up our food and added an extra order to the bag, telling us that we will get very hungry waiting at the hospital. They were all so generous and helpful! The place was homey with a basic menu, similar to Cracker Barrel in the US. Air conditioned inside and dogs are welcome. The kitchen stays open through the afternoon. I am so happy we picked this restaurant with a wonderful, young, accommodating staff. Merci!

To be fair, l'm English so there may have been a communication breakdown, but l wasn't the only one complaining that evening.. The food was excellent, but it took over an hour to get it because they forgot to tell the chef, although my wife received hers in good time. The first beer l ordered was disgusting so ordered another that wasn't. Not the fault of the restaurant, but l got some food on my white shirt which l immediately went to wash out. I used one of their red napkins to dry the worst of the water after washing and l was shocked to see my sleeve had turned pink from the napkin! My experience then; l waited 90 mins for a meal which cost me €70 and an Giorgio Armani shirt! I wish l had just had a sandwich!

The meat was very well prepared. The sides and starters tasted like they have been prepared a weeks before.

The ‘entrecôte maître d’hôtel’ was inedible due to the gristle and sinews. If you order it blue or rare the steak is cold in the middle, so obviously cooked straight from the fridge and not room temperature. The ‘cafe gourmand’ was good. The staff pleasant enough. But the quality of beef is very poor! And this is what Courtepaille is known for. Several Courtepailles have been closed, and this might follow because other people who were eating near us said they never had the beef because it was as hard as the table!
