The hotel is in a good location to access the city centre and is a short walk from the central train station. However, these are the only plusses for this hotel. There is a constant repulsive stench in the hotel corridors and reception (I'm guessing a mix of drains and super strength air freshener), bedrooms are small, only one towel per person is provided (good for the environment but not good if I'm showering and washing my hair) and the buffet breakfast is overpriced at e10.50 (a good range of pastries, however I would expect a few hot breakfast options for this price). Disappointing in comparison to other Ibis hotels that I've stayed in.

It was a very good stay. I first booked a hotel inside the city, 10 min walk from the station but then changed to this one. Later when I actually checked out Avignon city, indeed it was much better to choose this hotel since walking into the city with a suitcase would have been too much of a hassle. The room was small but felt very comfortable, especially the bed.

Nice place for families with children. Near to the railway station, but very quite. And near to the city centre - perfect location. Also the breakfast is to mention - there is something for every taste. The stuff is very kindly. Just the room is very small for three people, but the most important is that is clean.

Truly convenient as it is located just on your right as you exit from Avignon's train station. Do not let its entrance hinder you from entering as the 2nd entrance that leads to the reception desk is on the upper floor. The decor is pretty relaxing; one may find the corridors leading to the rooms a little "old" but the rooms are actually quite functional for 1 to 2 guests max. We slept like babies despite the fact that our room was facing the rail tracks. There's a sort of a double-double glazed windows & it's sound proofed. The mattresses were comfy and we got an extra pillow each without any hassle from the front desk. Staff is friendly & super helpful. Thank you for making our first visit to Avignon enjoyable 👍

Good location right next to the station. Very convenient but entrance is a bit of mess. Quick check in and quick check out. Quiet. Small but efficient room. WiFi was the most stable out of all places I've been in avignon. Wish ac in the room will be improved since it felt like a fan blowing air into the room rather than dry ac cold air.

Most probably the worst ibis hotel I've ever stayed at. ** Getting to the hotel during the day is a bit inconvenient because of road works in front of the railway station. If you arrive when it's dark, you might have trouble finding your way to the entrance at all. The footpath to the entrance was very dark and smelled of urine. It felt a bit dangerous. In fact, the door to the hotel was always locked. You had to use your room card or ring a bell even to get to the reception. ** There was NO LIFT for guests during my stay. You could get a lift from the entrance (level -1) to the reception (level 0). But to get to the rooms (floors 1, 2 and 3), you had walk up the stairs. ** The corridors smell awful (sewage). ** My room was very dark. There was a very small window on the side of the room which let through very little light. ** The air-conditioning didn't work even though it was still very warm in early October. I tried opening the window, but it didn't help much. In the end, it was still hot, but there were mosquitos in my room. ** The shower is a safety hazard. The shower mixer is very low, so you need to bend down to turn the water on/off, but the shower floor is very slippery. It's very easy to have an accident. ** Loyalty is not rewarded. As ALL Gold member, you can get 1 (!) small beer. It should be 250 ml, but it's more like 150 ml with lots of foam on the top. Please avoid.

I spent quite some time researching hotels in Avignon and decided to stay here because of the promised view of the wall. Not only is this view from a small window, I had to change rooms two times because of a sewage smell. In the end, I left after the first night and the hotel kept my money for two unused nights. Of course a reaction will follow on this review that all this was my own fault or that a ‘solution’ was provided. It begs to question which guest would change rooms in a hotel for a third time. Spare yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else. Just to get the facts out there: I never slept in room 203 or 303. I gave the hotel all opportunity to fix the problem by staying one night in their superior room 111.

Access not very clear due to roadworks for new tramline. Helpful staff especially when our travel money card was a bit inconsistent, and they arranged a refund without us having to ask. Nice room if a bit small.

An okay sized room but you can't beat the location. A very friendly and helpful lady at check in which took moments. Just here for a night but all is good.

The beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom is nice. The room is a bit tight for space. There is a nice breakfast buffet. Access: The hotel sits on a level above the street. There is major construction going on around it (2023), and access is a bit difficult. You can take an elevator from the PEM bus station to the right level or walk up the parking garage access road from the train station. It is conveniently located to both. Windows and walls are so well insulated that you don't hear the trains.

At the moment the construction is being on. So it’s hedious to access this hotel. Remember that the entrance is on the same level as the ground floor of Avignon Station. So when the railway is on your back, you go to the right and do not go down the slope. Just go into the right direction to the car parking. The sign is so unfriendly. It’s very hot at this time over 35 degrees centigrade but the staff doesn’t give us enough ice. The facility is just as the same as the other ibis hotels. The surroundings around the hotel is not so good. I saw some awful beggers around the hotel. I don’t quite recommend this hotel but the only good thing is that it’s near the statiom.

Location is great and so quiet for being next to train station. Staff so accommodating and helpful. Best breakfast we’ve had on our trip so far. Fresh, great fruit, coffee, tea, eggs, breads, museli and so healthy! Recommend if your Avignon.

Exceptional professional staff at the front desk. Despite being a very busy period we were checked.in quickly. The room has great soundproofing from the street and the location is easy to find from the train station. A big plus - great air conditioning.

👍🏻 Positive 1. Great location. Right next to the Avignon center station and main bus station. Walking distance to the city center and all the sightseeing spots. 2. The shower room is spacious and clean. The shower gel and shampoo are provided. 3. Rooms equipped with AC, TV, coffee machine, closet and hanger, window, and black-out curtains. Building equipped with lift. 4. High quality with relatively affordable price. 👎🏻 Negative 1. The neighborhood is quite creepy and suspicious. Lots of homeless people and some of them seems to using drugs. I didnt feel safe walking alone at night.
