True gem at the heart of Avignon! Superb service, an accommodation steeped in history, magical atmosphere. Will definitely come back and recommend to couples and families alike. I will let the photos speak for themselves. Thank you!

This place is gorgeous! Even better than the pictures. My fiance and I stayed to celebrate my birthday in July. We loved our relaxing time by the pool and in the garden. The staff was very friendly. They even brought me a watermelon (my favorite) with candles for my birthday. We would love to return next summer!

Avignon has a bit of a reputation, that dates back 100’s of years. We had a fantastic stay exploring the old city and enjoyed our visits to Arles (by train) and Villeneuve-lès-Avignon (by Uber). Each afternoon we loved retreating into La Divine Comédie. The temperature dropped a min of 30% as you entered to beautifully maintained gardens. The staff were more than attentive, and breakfast was a relaxed and most enjoyable experience. It made our stay in Avignon a most enjoyable, relaxing and exciting adventure. I’d not hesitate to go back.

The most magical place in Avignon! The hotel is beautiful, both interior and exterior. The breakfast is fresh, delicious and perfect start to the day! The team, especially Maxence, was so accommodating! The pool spa is a must, very relaxing! Be sure to reserve it! The rooms were very comfortable and equipped with nice linens and toiletries. The rooms have air conditioning but opening the windows to get a breeze was even better. This house was the highlight of our trip. It’s a quiet hidden oasis in the center of Avignon. You can walk everywhere. My daughter loved greeting the dogs everyday. Every aspect of the stay made you feel as though you were at home. Look no further and stay here as you won’t regret it! Thanks for a lovely Birthday and Mother’s Day vacation!

The Divine Comedy is divine. From the minute you pass through the monumental entryway, you are submerged in beauty and tranquility. Loic did an incredible job taking care of us and answering all our questions. He went above and beyond to make our stay special. Thank you Loic.

We stayed here for 3 nights in December of 2021 and it was absolutely magical. December definitely isn't the peak time to visit Provence, but the house manager and the owners were super accommodating, gave us excellent recommendations and were generally incredibly kind. On top of the loveliness of the house, one of our favorite parts were the house cats Simone and Gaston and the two dogs Theodole and Olympe. They were incredibly well behaved and fun and having them there really made the house feel like a real home. We stayed in the Naples suite and it was absolutely stunning and very comfortable as well. I can't even imagine how fabulous this place is in the spring/summer. We would highly recommend!

My husband and I spent one night at the La Divine Comédie. This was our top choice to stay in Avignon. Although it was winter, the outdoor garden was still beautiful and the interior inside was impeccable. Every room and corner has received such attention to detail and the resident pets are very friendly. We enjoyed playing chess in the salon, surrounded by tea candles that are lit in the evenings for the romantic ambience.

Our room was exquisite-- extremely unique. All the furnishing and artwork has been well sourced and curated for our room, leaving us feeling as if we stayed at a historical museum. Stunning view of the Pope’s palace from the window.

A simple yet delightful breakfast (yogurts, fresh fruits, pastries, jams) is served on lovely antique trays, along with coffees and teas.

Staff was very thoughtful and friendly, thank you Maxence and Loïc for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It’s a joy to get to know them and the owners vision for the property— they are true tastemakers and curators. They are very accommodating and are happy to share any details and history behind the property or recommendations in Avignon.

Location was amazing-- the property sits in the centre of Avignon, close to all the restaurants and boutiques. It’s 5 minutes away from the Popes Palace, 15 minutes from the station. Everything is within walking distance. It’s a wonder to see how lucky the owners were able to get such a concluded and large property in such a central part of the city

The grounds are absolutely stunning (feels like a hidden oasis within the city), the rooms are very lavish and classically decorated, and the location itself is very centrally located in Avignon. It is a close walk to many of the popular sites. The morning breakfasts were the perfect way to start our days. Our hostess Maxense was super friendly and amazing and gave us the best restaurant recommendations as well as more general information on the city itself. The two dogs on the grounds were an added bonus and very friendly and entertaining. Overall 10/10 would recommend this location.

If it's within your budget, don't hesitate, stay here. It's just such a beautiful house much beyond the pictures online. Nice breakfast, great team. We loved everything

Stayed here on our way to Monaco. Absolutely beautiful, lovely staff, rooms and grounds were gorgeous. Parking was a bit tight, but the manager met us several blocks away and led us to the parking area. We will definitely come back.

One of the prettiest places we have ever stayed - loved how it was tucked away in Avignon behind a large door. Had no idea what we were talking into, and the gardens around it were just the beginning. It is beautifully landscaped and decorated with a romantic and whimsical touch. A true gem of a place that we will definitely come back to in the future. We stayed in the yellow room and loved the view of the gardens plus pope’s castle. Highly recommend!!

One of the most special places we have ever stayed!! It is so romantic and serene. A hidden surprise behind a huge door with gorgeous sprawling gardens, curious and romantic decorations, and kind staff. We stayed in the yellow room and had views of the pope’s castle and gardens. The room is huge with all the amenities. It was very quiet and a true delight to stay here. We wish we could live here!! Highly recommend if wanting a special stay in Avignon.

We left this morning after just one night… but we really didn’t want to! I don’t think it can get any better for a bed and breakfast.. the beauty of the property and the garden, the attention to detail (even the shape of the sugar cubes at breakfast) the absolutely fantastic service. Thank you so much Valdi and the lovely lady at breakfast whose name I did not catch. Outstanding.

This is a long overdue review for a phenomenal stay at the Divine Comedy, but my phone recently served me up a number of photos that allowed me to imagine I was once again resting by the pool at the Divine Comedy, in what feels like a garden oasis, but is in fact right in the middle of Avignon. My wife and I stayed here this past summer during the Avignon theatre festival and we couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and charming stay touched off by the property having such a lovely and pleasant team. We enjoyed a great breakfast in the gardens before heading out to see shows and explore the city during the day, until we were in need of an afternoon swim to revitalize us. Can’t wait to be back in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
