I expected more; it should be four star camping. The area is large and shaded by old big trees - this is nice. But shower is a mess: the automatic light turns off and you have to continue in darkness, the water temperature can not be changed, I would prefer a cold shower as outside temperature is about 35 degree Celsius. And last there is an unpleasent smell in the shower. I would never mention these insignificant aspects but I have to pay 32 Euro for one night.

Nice size pitches available, out of season so the pool, cafe & other amenities closed. Laundry room open plenty of machines excellent tumble dryer. 20 minute walk into the town centre, lots of restaurants, bars & boutiques. There's a small ferry free of charge that goes from one side of Le Rhone to the other only 10 mins but nice way to get from A to B. Site loos & showers ok. Dish washing area some loose taps & not very clean but that's other users not the sites fault. It's common in France but I wish there were soap dispensers full stop. And maybe in the future locate them directly out side the loo or in the same cubicle.

Great site, with large shady pitches (watch out for tree branches). Paid €26 with electric. Showers dated but clean and serviceable. It’s a short cycle ride (5 mins) from the beautiful town of Avignon which should be a must visit for anyone visiting southern France. Avignon has many restaurants and is a lovely calm/relaxed town inside the medieval walls. Perfect for cycling or walking. We did not use the ferry. Other reviews mentioned noise but we did not experience this. All in all recommended and would return again

This site is fantastic- superb sized pitches, plenty shade in the hot sun, fabulous facilities with hot showers and a nice swimming pool and bar/restaurant. We had originally booked 3 nights and extended to 5 as so much to do in the area. Also very safe for cycling to and within Avignon and lovely cycle paths nearby. Well worth a visit!

We spent 5 nights in a mobile house. We cannot complain anything. The mobile house was really clean when we settled down. The mobile houses don’t have ovens, we think that is good to know before you arrive. The location is great and it has an easy access from the road. The pool is perfect for children it’s quite shallow.

From the camping site it takes a 15 minute walk to reach Avignon. The prices are reasonable. The camping pitches are spacious. Hedges and trees between the pitches provide privacy. It is ideal for tents and campers. You can choose the spot you'd like. It's quiet at night. The sanitary facilities are nice and clean but to use the shower you have to press the button constantly because it only works for a few seconds. The sanitary facilities are very open, if it is cold or windy outside it can get a bit uncomfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can order bread for breakfast - the baguette is delicious.

March 12-18 2022 Great spot to stay in Avignon as is very close to the city, nice and quiet! The campground as a whole is very run down and needs work! Bathrooms are very old and at the time of year we stayed were very unpleasant as they are very open air so cold. They were clean but in general everything needs a tidy up. Staff were helpful.

Very nice campsite with many possibilities.,ideally located near Avignon. It was very crowded still in this time of year. Toilets and showers could have been more proper. No free wifi and the one you could pay for is not very good. But we sure liked the camp site and will come back for sure. Very nice staff at the reception desk.

Large campsite with a lot of facilities. Swimming pool, bar, small shop, tennis courts, volley ball. Good sized pitches with electric on a lot of them. Some noise due to the size of the site. Dogs are allowed so this may or not be a benefit. Easy walking access into Avignon via the free ferry.

Good campsite a few steps from Avignon, it is possible to visit the city on foot or by bike from the campsite thanks to the connection by bridge or free boat. The campsite is huge, has a good price and a decent swimming pool. Pitches are normal, but be careful of the many mosquitoes all day long. As an improvement to be up to the level of the campsite, the bathrooms should be renovated and access to the river created, to make returning in the evening more pleasant. In fact, the car road is very dark to travel in the evening.

Very nice campsite close to main Avignon attractions. The staff is professional and competent. The only disadvantage was a toilet block far, far away of our pitch, and mosquitoes - small and very nasty.

Pool not open with 27 degrees. Closed it a couple of days before we arrived. Which was a bit of a bummer (it was on their website so we were aware of this before). Good value, but room for improvements when it comes to the hygiene areas with toilets etc. Location is great! The photo is taken just a couple of 100 meters from the grounds.

A lovely campsite well situated for easy access to Avignon town centre. The pitches are shady and the bathroom facilities clean and numerous. The large pool landscape and attached bar/restaurant make for a perfect afternoon cool down after a day visiting the town. Recommended

Nice rustic campsite. Very quiet site. Ideal location only 10 = 15 mins walk (using the free ferry to cross the Rhone) into Old Avignon. Lovely swimming pool and amply toilets and showers.

Total chaos from when we arrived. Not only was everything manic, because too many people in such tiny pitches, but so incredibly expensive. €36 for two people (same price for 1), "with services", but everything was extra. WiFi €6 per 24 hours, €5.50 for a wash and €2 for the dryer, which wasn't enough as nothing dry. There is a pool and toilets, which were clean. The bar was nice but again ridiculous prices. Good location, by the boat to the city, but you can get on the boat for free without staying here, it's a free service from the city. Just a shame that CAMPING was so much more expensive than any hotel. Madness.

Good location close to Avignon, big site and friendly staff at reception. The site felt very dark (good to avoid the heat but felt a bit closed in) and lots of mosquitoes (obviously not a fault of the site). No free wifi which is a shame. Probably wouldn’t go back.

Pleasantly surprised, this was a nice camp. We were here in low season, on 1st of november. Camp is closed since 2nd of November till spring. Good things: - excellent location - friendly staff - good price, two adults without electricity, 17euros, low season - big pitches with shade - fenced camp, felt very safe - clean bathrooms-hot showers - because of low-season, we were allowed to have late departure without extra cost - there is a big parking space in front of the gate, if you arrive late, you can still park there and sleep I saw some bad reviews about this camp, I guess the camp is better in low-season than in high season.

We have booked 2 nights in a bungalow at Camping du Pont d'Avignon from Tuesday 11 Oct. 2022 to Thursday 13 Oct. 2022. We arrived on Tuesday at about 17.00, checked in and moved into the bungalow, everything was fine so far. At about 17.30 the electricity in the campsite went out and did not come back till the next morning. No light, no warm food could be cooked, no recharded smartphones, no information.... So we decided to escape this situation and started to empty and clean the bungalow on the next day on Wednesday at 07.00. We did not see anything from Avignon. At 08.00 I informed the reception of our decision to leave the camping and the receptionist apologised for the inconvenience and stated that we will get back the money for the missed 2nd night. But the main office decided later on, just to give us a voucher for 1 night and valid for 1 year. We're from abroad and will not get back that soon. So good money for the company and view stars from us :-((

Great campsite within easy walk of the ferry to Avignon. Great base for exploring the area. Lovely pool, bar and restaurant. Washing cost €5.50 for a big machine. There is a shop. Friendly staff on reception. Pitches were big and surrounded by bushes on 3 sides which made it nice and private.

Pleasant surprise. We stopped near this camping for view points over the Avignon city (originally had another accomodation planned) . But the camping looked good with a great atmosphere, so we entered and asked if they still have available pitches. The gentleman and ladies at the reception were nice and kindly explained the necessary information and we were able to choose a place out of many available. Sanitary facilities were ok, nothing special. Location is good for walks and bike rides to Avignon or along the river. Would go there again.

So seeing the mixed reviews we were apprehensive but pleasantly happy. Lovely spacious plot, great pool area, amazing location, lovely welcome and very clean sanitary. Avignon is amazing ... Great free shuttle across the river and lovely island. We have a dog but lovely river walks, allowed on free river crossing. A lovely stop x

International camping on the banks of the Rhone. Spacious private pitches with good onsite facility, shop ,bar restaurant and book. Lots of sanitary blocks. Views to city from some pitches on south side. Near free water taxi to town. Noisy at night with traffic noise (les boys racers). Bus stop outside camp. On cycle route too. Isle generally not busy. Gates to riverbank would be handy as all were locked. Coded magnetic locks would be a good idea. Recommended

Really nice camping place on the island near the center of Avignon (20 minutes by foot en free ferry). Very helpful and friendly staff! Sanitary very clean en often cleaned. Too bad that the view to the bridge cannot be seen from the camping spots due to a covered fence (photo is taken by ferry spot).

The location near to the city and directly next to the river is beautiful. Staff at the reception was friendly. Checkout until 10am is rather early in comparison to other facilities, especially if you only stay for 1-2 nights. Additionally, half of the sanitary places were closed and the other ones very old and not completely clean. Most of the toilets not even had a seat. Water pressure was also very low, especially for cleaning dishes. For the price of 26€ for a pitch, I already was on a lot of better places.

A great town campsite - full of mature trees and nature (we heard and saw an golden oriel), and with easy access to Avignon's historical centre. We walked there but the boat is an even faster route when it's running. There is road noise, not from the surrounding roads but from across the river, where the main road runs below the city walls. It's a small price to pay for the location and the good services provided by the campsite.

Easy check in, find the spot you like the most. It is quiet, kid and pet friendly, close to the river, not too crowded. Tons of bathrooms and showers (no towels or soap). Personnel makes an effort to speak your language. I'd definitely come here again. We paid 27 euros total for two people for 2 nights.

😐 I so wanted to give Camping Bagatelle 4 stars if only for the location and the friendly staff, both in reception and in the bar/restaurant. But as the site is very dated and tired I've kept my rating to 3. The welcome and checking in was easy, very straight forward and relatively quick as it should...

😠 It was an absolute disaster for us. We actually wanted to relax for 2 days and booked 2 nights. We were just too knocked out. to continue driving and just wanted to find a place. So we spontaneously decided on this one. That was a mistake. Construction work was currently taking place on the square,...
