The view is incredible and the pool is a nice thing as well, but: - the food is literally trash. - the rooms are ALWAYS hot and aren't cooled in any kind of way. - the Wi-Fi is unreliable and if working, slow. - the showers are small, don't offer room to store clothes and a towel without getting them wet while showering (the hot air cannot escape the room in any way.).

Beautiful long balcony runs length of building on one side. Great views of river and surrounding hills plus popes palace across the river. Room itself was cramped. Shower very cramped. Breakfast good with freshly baked croissants. Friendly staff and nice pool. Reasonably priced.

Arriving at the hotel, we were really disappointed. Simply a first look was disgusting. We were really hyped for a great stay, as it seemed to be a great hotel judged by the pictures. The backside of the hotel was covered with a bit of mold, but we were fine with that and just hoped for the frontside to be better. We walked up stairs to the buildings and experienced a great shock as the pool, advertised with pictures, was completely empty apart from a few puddles of rain water between broken tiles. Ok, the weather was not perfect either so it was fine. We took the key cards for the rooms and entered. They seemed ok, at least on the first look, there was a weird smell in each single room, the bathrooms had quite a lot of mold and smelled...I cannot find a word to describe it... One room had a leaky pipe at the toilett, which did not make it better. There was no soap included, the showers were hard to controll, had rust and lime on them and overall the hygene was bad. We accepted all of those things, as we could just buy stuff to temporarily fix them. Hungry from a long day of driving we wanted to eat. Wanted... The food was disgusting, lasagna worse than my fathers :/. The salad tasted like water (remember the taste of the water) and was very simple. All in all the food was either too dry or too wet, tasted very bad and was never enough to make you fed up. The water tasted like pure chlorine ( here is the taste of the the water). Maybe it is normal in France but there should have been another option. In the evening we wanted to sleep but apparently slat frames are not supposed to carry weights over 70kg... They just broke down. Exhausted from repairing them, we wanted to open the windows which actually worked. Just closing them did not work... As I already told you the weather was not really good and hit ~5-8° in the night. Kinda cold for half-a-centimeter-blankets... Ok, just sleep. It is alright... We woke up and started our first trip. We had quite some fun, I would really recommend the area, but not the hotel. We came back to a suprise again. The cleaners ??? probably threw??? our bags around but did not clean the rooms??? We wanted to eat and went to the restaurant at 19:00, opening time, we saw one of the employees walk around and smoke a cig at 19:15, but he did not open tho. As far as I know it opened at 19:30. Still sucked. Apart from that the WiFi did not work for two whole days... We had fun anyways but I think some better conditions would have helped... Personally, I would not recommend the "hotel", but I wish everyone a fun time in this beatiful area.

Very kind and nice staffs, also good meal and especially, great view of River Rhone & Avignon town from the terrace in the room. Much more than value for the money. I recommend non-Europeans to take a walk around the hostel early in the morning and you can see and feel real French style.

Excellent place to stay for a reasonable price. The staff was very good and it's really close to the center of Lyon. The room was OK.

English speaking staff, a pool and very cozy rooms. The staff was very helpful and it is easy to reach from the center of Avignon.

Food not great. Rooms quite small with little storage space let alone for 4 people
