We've got lured into the alley by the good smell we've encountered on the corner. The restaurant looked very inviting and cute so we walked in and gotten directly welcomed and showed a free table. Small but very creative and authentic menu with french dishes which got also explained patiently to us because we didn't understand everything on the menu. We've had a quiche and a pasta with Roquefort and sausage in it. Both dishes tasted amazing. The bill was 37,50 for 2 dishes and 2 drinks which is absolutely fair for such a lovely lunch! The waitress got somehow very confused when we've gave her 52 and said that she should give us 10 back which was very adorable. Definitely worth visiting when you're strolling through the center of Avignon!

Had an amazing stuffed tomato dish that would make me come back by itself. Not to mention the cute decor, great service, and air conditioning in a scorching southern France day. I loved the fact they had cute French childrens books to read while you are waiting for your food. There is something so charming about this type of French cafe that fits about ~20 people max but has the homey ambiance and chic charm that the French are known for.

From the warm welcome and patient explanation of the menu for us English speakers, then the presentation of the specially prepared cuisine, we really enjoyed our experience at this small cafe. They were not open first time we stopped by at the listed hours, but we are so glad that we tried again and had the good fortune of eating a meal here.

Lovely, cosy small restaurant in the centre of Avignon. The menu varies, and it includes some traditional dishes and some from other cuisines. We had the quiche with salad and a pasta with mussels, asparagus and parmigiano cheese cream (unusual combination but great flavors). Everything is prepared with care and love, and guests feel at home. Good price point: 40 € for two main dishes and three glasses of wine (tap water and bread are also included). I suggest to eat outside.

We were four people eating at chez nine and really enjoyed the food that was prepared for us. Having been tired of searching for places that are overpriced and touristic, it is clear that this restaurant set out to provide quality food for a fair price. The chef and waiters also went the extra mile by preparing an omelette with mashed potatoes specially for our 20 month old. From the menu and quality it is clear that the chef is passionate about cooking and serving people. I highly recommend this place if you ever pass by Avignon. Thank you to all the crew of Chez Nine. Perhaps a small suggestion to the restaurant, if you want, perhaps keep a booster seat for children in the back. It does not take up a lot of space and will help tired parents :)

A chic and cozy restaurant. The dishes are delicate and fresh. As an Avignon visitor, I strongly recommend this lovely store.

Perfect food and athmosphere

The waitress is very friendly. She gave us vegetarian specials introduction in English, which we appreciated a lot. Good service aside, their tomato n’ Mozzarella salad and quiche with side-salad are really fresh and tasty. Totally recommendable!

Amazing food!!

We stumbled across this beautiful little cafe and we loved it! New menu daily by the lovely lady who welcomed us, served us and cooked for us. She helped us by explaining the menu in English. So fresh and delicious, we were able to have wine as well. 💕🇫🇷🍷

We had a late lunch after a long visit of Palais des Papes and a lot of restaurants were closed at that time of the day. Big plates, amazing food, really good value, but the service of the chef and her mother was the best part. They make you feel welcomed and they went out of their way to accommodate our babygirl. Thank you!

Not sure why this place has such high rating, we left disappointed and didn’t finish our food. Had the bruschetta, the bread wasn’t nice and the meal oversalted and two also sets of minced steak which was tough and the sauce not great either. Probably the worst meal we had in two weeks in France. Only redeeming factor was that it was reasonably priced.

Very nice place for lunch! I ordered a tomato salad with burrata and it was very good, but I had 2 tomatoes in it that had gone bad. When tomato is the main ingredient, it's quite important that the tomatoes in it are actually all good. But apart from that it was delicious!

WOOOWWWWWW My jaw dropped on the first bite. All of the dishes were spectacular, so thoughtfully constructed. And for a great price. Been travelling in France for 2 weeks and had this on the last day, best meal of the trip. Chef Manon was hard at work in the kitchen and waiting on tables. If you’re anywhere in the area this is a must have! Also best chocolate cake ever 😋

Ordered the lunch special. Very long wait (20-30 minutes). Salad was very salty and the main was lacking in flavour.
