Came here immediately from the train at 2:00pm (14:00) in need of a quick bite and coffee. Their €4,90 sandwiches chaud were incredibly good. We got the tomato mozzarella sandwich and the potato-Larson-cheese brulèe with caramelized onion sandwich. They were so right and satisfying. They use ficelle bread from Violette, and it is perfect - crunchy and soft. The cafe creme was a bit rich, but very satisfying. We would go back often.

A great bar located in a lovely square. It is a very friendly and easy-going place where the wines and the beers are well priced (the Cegales, a local pils beer, was my favourite). The clients are a mixed bunch of friendly locals and teh odd tourist (like me). Alex runs the place and you'd be hard pushed to meet a more friendly an efficient manager.

Best outdoor cafe in Avignon. Great staff, English is not a problem, and the best square in town. Their onion jam is incredible. And the beer and wine selection is good.

This great little café is located in a square with a lovely fountain where you can sit outside and eat or drink. It's a perfect place to start your day enjoying one of their baguettes and a coffee; and then to return and finish your day later into the evening with a beer, a glass of wine, a hot dog or another baguette. The staff are very friendly and all speak English. The setting is wonderful, and it's easy to spend lots of time here just people watching and enjoying the atmosphere and relaxing. This café is frequented by locals, students and tourists, and for me, it is on my must visit list every time I return to France and Avignon on my trips from England.
