The main aisle in Avignon has the same sort of food so it’s refreshing to find a restaurant that does something different. And does different good. My pictures don’t do the food justice, food was delicious. What was even better was that even though there was only a French menu, the waiters were conversant in English and spent a good deal of time explaining in details all the dishes available.

Aelequin was very busy and fully booked this night. We are lucky with table available for dinner with last booking done in the afternoon. They are very attentive though staff were busy around. The raw tuna is very fresh. Gnocchi with creamy and truffle sauce is so delicious . One of the best restaurant in Avignon

Wanted to go to another restaurant but it was close. The owner was kind and recommended us this place. And WOW !!! Amazing!!! Every dish did not disappoint and it was really great. We had the chorizo with peas which was fantastic (not a pea eater) and the pork was tenderly delicious. Great selection of wine choices too. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

After having lunch here i had the worst stomachache in my life. I vomited the whole afternoon and night. I have no idea if the soup was stale or not well prepared but it really upset my stomach hence the food poisoning. It’s really unfortunate but anyway the restaurant is too noisy so i don’t recommend at all.

We have just come back from this Restaurant and the experience has been great. To start with one of the owners was kind enough to translate the whole menu to us. The starters were excellent and the main course of fish of the day show cased the skills of the chef and was tastely seasoned. The desserts were also excellent. Wrap that up with an excellent Vermentino as a house white...you have the makings of a great culinary experience. I think this duo of owners have a good thing brewing here and you would be missing out if you don't give this restaurant a visit whilst in Avignon.

Lovely place, good selection of wine and really nice staff. We got in Avignon quite late at night (9 pm), and majority of the places did not let us get a table as kitchen tend to close early in France. However, Thibaut was super friendly and welcomed us in.

We discovered this place late on our first day in Avignon and loved the food despite sitting outside in the cold (the glass of lovely CdP helped); so much so that we went back to try different dishes each day of our three day stay. I was in Avignon for a week from Australia for a conference and visited this restaurant as it was close to the conference venue. This restaurant was, hands down, the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. I am a big believer in variety, however, this food was so good my partner and I ate lunch here 3 days in a row. The staff are amazing and the chef a young genius. Well done guys, I would return to Avignon just to eat there again. You give Lyon a run for its money.

Rating is completely justified! 5/5 I’ve tried several places in Avignon and made mistakes, instead I should just go there! Located right in the heart of Avignon near Palais des Papes and at the same time is hidden from tourist traffic. Polite staff patiently explained every menu item and gave me great suggestions. Octopus with chimichuri was fresh and a little bit spicy, very good My trout with ratatouille was literally best I’ve tried. While the fish of the day was good too. And we thought we will skip the dessert until we saw that macaron ordered by the next table. The macaron dessert is miraculous! You should visit this place even just for amazing dessert! So sad they are closed on weekend.

What an amazing find just one block off of the Clock Square (where they’re all touristy options)! So first, they have a great little patio where we were met by the friendliest staff. Quiet street too. The food…wow, just amazing. Our best meal in France yet and likely right up there period!!! My wife had the salmon and I had the steak and potatoes which had a fantastic jus. Then the chocolate molten dessert was simply decadent! Too bad we weren’t staying in Avignon or we’d definitely go back and try their gnocchi. So glad we stumbled on this place, oh, and locals were eating here too which is a really good sign.

Centrally located. Very friendly and helpful staff, who translated the whole menu for us. The food was fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend.

We phoned to make a booking but there was no reply. But they phoned back - plus point for that. Starter was excellent but then 30 minute wait for the main course. The meat was fie but the potato puree ranged from luke warm to cold. The single banana shallot was just cold. Then another 30 minute wait for the desert. When that arrived, we asked for the bill. Waited another 15 minutes for that so went to the bar to pay - we were already late for anther appointment. The person at the till was entering a series of chits into the register while we waited, obviously wanting to pay. I can't say the waiting staff was idle, far from it. It looked like one person was trying to service every table on his own. But it was far from a relaxing experience. If you have all night, by all means go, but I'd suggest you order something cold.

Delicious food and very friendly service! We particularly enjoyed the mussels and fish of the day with ratatouille. Recommended!

Truly amazing meal for lunch. I am adventurous when it comes to the meals, yet some places close by were truly traditional French cuisine with frogs legs, etc, and not my cup of tea. Here at Arlequin, their fusion of flavors, meats and herbs were spot on! I recommend them if you want a fresh experience for your palate!

Meat was super chewy. Also they need acoustic treatment, it's very loud inside even when it's not crowded. Otherwise everything was alright.

This place was awesome! Highly recommend. Family had four different dishes and two appetizers and they all were fantastic. A must when In Avignon!

Excellent food after 11pm--a godsend following a late arrival in Avignon Also, however, fully endorsed for those eating at more convention hours!

These gentlemen do a great job here. They work hard, have great food, and the location is a nice spot with indoor and outdoor dining. Very enjoyable. Typical to small french restaurants, the menu is limited, but what we had was excellent (gnocchi and veal tenderloin).
