A good, new hotel with a quirky layout. It was a bit of an odd journey to get to our room but it added to the character of the building. I loved the decor of the room, it was a kitsch, retro vibe and it was very tasteful. The tiling was also very beautiful. The bed was cosy and large, the shower was large with a good pressure. The staff were warm and friendly. The reason for four stars, as our room was street facing we experienced noise from outside. So it disturbed our sleep, it was a minor blip to what was an overall fantastic stay. We would stay again, but maybe in a different room.

My daughter and I spent 7 nights at this hotel. Location is fantastic. Decor is very basic. Everything else is top notch! Staff (we encountered each and every one) were the best!!! Extremely helpful, accommodating, and friendly! The beds and pillows were comfortable. Our room was quiet-no outside noise or noise from other guests. Bathroom was roomy. Best of all, we could control the room temperature, which seems to be very unlikely in hotels in France. I highly recommend this hotel!!!

Absolutely perfect stay. Every staff member we encountered from front desk to housekeeping was beyond friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. Our room was on the top floor, was spacious and modern with a lovely little balcony and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve had in any hotel. The air conditioning worked extremely well and blew very cold. My only piece of feedback would be that it would be nice to have a mini fridge in the room, but I think that’s my fault as I saw afterward that you can request a mini fridge during booking - so I suggest doing that if you’re looking for one! Would stay again in a heartbeat if we were back in Avignon!

We had a very great stay! 1.staff: Was very nice helpful and informative. great hospitality ! 2. Rooms : very new, very clean and spacious. looks great also in picture. 3. Bed: super comfortable for us. great quality beddings 4. Noise : we had a room on the street side during the festival d'avignon and the windows blocked out the noise from the outside very well. i was surprised 5. location : great location . lots of great restaurants just across the street. and within10mins distance to attractions site. very safe. and best is there's monoprix (fr supermarket ) right around the corner incase you need any essentials. i highly recommended :)

The hotel was nice and clean, but I have one major issue with the room. The shower and bathroom were combined into the same room as the bed, which is fine for a small room. However, the shower was this sealed glass box with no ventilation. There was a smell coming from the shower, and for a couple hours after showering, the glass box would still be covered in water because there is no ventilation in the shower. It really needs to have a fan set in the shower and leave the door open for a few hours to dry it out and then disinfect anything growing in there. Even small passive vents on the ceiling would be a huge improvement to the smell. Otherwise, the hotel was nice and clean.

Lovely hotel! I stayed alone, but it was a very safe environment for me.Nice that the welcome drink Evian water was placed in a bottle. The room was modern, bright and very comfortable with good air conditioning. The view was not great because view only walls of the building. There are no refrigerators, iron, slippers and bathtub. However there were an electric kettle and cups, and there were instant coffee and tea bags but no coffee machine. It was was the high season then I paid more than 200 euros.. The footsteps on the upper floor echoed considerably and I was a little tired. The front desk staff were all helpful and friendly.

It was pleasant staying at Hotel de Cambis. It is well situated. For example, about 7 min walk to Avignon Centre, 5 mins from monoprix (supermarket), good food is a stone's throwaway. The room itself was well-kept and cleaned everyday. The reception is extremely polite and they were extremely efficient too. I reported an issue with the sink and they resolved in rather quickly. All in all, very pleasant. Will recommend.

Conveniently located across the Avignon tourist office, as well as a short 10min walk to the old town. Service is excellent. Good wifi, aircon and lift. Visited in late June 23.

Excellent hotel, the deluxe room was really lovely, nice spacious size, relaxing decor (as long as you like dusky pink), fab bathroom esp the shower. Bed comfy and huge. Lovely balcony. 5 mins walk from the station but also 5 mins walk to the heart of the city or 10 to the Palais des Papes. The main road to the station can be a little bit more "lively" the closer to it you get as is often the case near stations but honestly it was fine. Staff were all lovely.

I've been blessed with being able to stay in many fine hotels, both 3 and 4 stars. The Hotel De Cambis is a 4 star hotel that, to me aspires to be a 3 star hotel. From the tired look of the rooms to the cheapest toilet paper that wouldn't look out of place in a dingy backstreet cafe. Apologises to those cafes pushing the envelope with their upmarket loo rolls. Breakfast needs to be attended on the dot or else you will be left with a reduced selection of choices. I asked for a boiled egg as the section was empty, only to be told there were none left as an earlier family had taken the lot. This also happened with the fruit. The staff on reception are wonderful and really helpful and the hotel location is excellent, close to the town centre and also the train station. Avignon itself is a truly wonderful place to visit, full of amazing attractions and shopping opportunities. Our 3 star hotel in Aix-en-Provence could teach this place a few tricks. Just my opinion of course, I note from the reviews other patrons loved it immensely. I'm sorry I didn't.

Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Wonderfully clean and updated. In love with the rooms’ wood floors as hotel carpet gives me the creeps. Great access to the center of town. Would absolutely stay again.

Reasonably central quiet hotel only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Avignon, on the railway station side of town which is useful. Helpful friendly reception staff. We didn't eat breakfast in as there are plenty of coffee shops and boulangeries only a couple of minutes walk away in the old town. Our room was decorated in multiple shades of rose pink, which is okay if you would like that sort of thing!

I recently had a lovely stay at Hotel De Cambis. The location is perfect, right next to the train station and on a charming French street. However, I was a bit disappointed with the room we were given. As someone who loves the colour pink, I was hoping for a room that had a similar vibe to what was shown on the website. Unfortunately, the room we stayed in lacked interesting interior design and there wasn't much of a view from the room. Looking back, I should have been more specific about my preferences. Despite that, the staff at the hotel were amazing and very friendly. We got stranded in outer Avignon due to a delayed bus, but the staff kindly arranged for a taxi to bring us back to the hotel. It was a wonderful hotel with plenty of space and very nice people.

This has to be among the best hotels in Avignon. Perfectly situated at a crossroads of main streets, moments from every attraction, a host of great restaurants, shops, bars, you name it, this hotel is near it. And a 5 minute walk from the station. Service is friendly, helpful, multilingual. There are lifts, and those take you to beautiful rooms, with, most importantly, excellent air conditioning. The importance of the air conditioning in one's happiness in the very warm south of France cannot be overstated! The place is clean, well appointed, coffee machine and kettle in every room. The suites are beautifully done.

Great location, only a 5 minute walk from the train station and all the sights. Breakfast a bit expensive, but convenient. Comfortable. Would likely stay here again.

Fantastic hotel! The staff is top rate and every person we encountered was helpful, cheerful and welcoming. Our room was next to the breakfast room and near the elevator but we heard nothing and the room was very quiet. Excellent location. Perfection!

Nice and friendly staff, great breakfast and a fine room with surfaces without any degradation. I actually enjoy the odd placement of the shower, in the bedroom, behind the bed and enclosed in glass. There are of course all necessary outlets and USB-ports at the bedside. Wi-Fi connection is stable. Air conditioning is good. A little detail, they have placed a Verner Panton lamp at the little desk.

Great new hotel in the heart of the city of Avignon. Ideally situated. Decoration is fun! Don’t miss out on the sommelier and free wine tasting in the lobby! Perfect for enjoying the festival.

Excellent Hotel renewed with a great location and good breakfast buffet, BUT most important is the hotel manager and her staff which are doing everything to make your stay enjoyable. Very recommended thanks.

One of the great examples of trouble management! There was a problem with room, we booked one and we got assigned totally another, there was also issue with cleanness in the room. The managers were super welcoming, offered solutions and we found a resolution quickly. Super new, cool design, nightly recommended !

Very helpful and friendly hotel manager, comfortable bed, bedding and the best pillows on this trip. The bathroom was modern and clean. The air conditioning worked well and it was nice to have an on-site bar. Great location and it was across the street from Viator meeting place

Highly recommend this hotel. First, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The location is very central and convenient. Our room was large and comfortable with very good attention to detail and cleanliness. There is a nice wine bar in the lobby. And the AC is amazingly good to counteract the very hot Provence weather. A refrigerator in the room would be nice but not a complaint. This is a wonderful hotel at an excellent value.
