What a fun classic roller coaster!! This thing is almost 100 years old, and relatively smooth! There was no back breaking moments, just a couple rickety moments but not painful at all. The coaster had a lot of hills and turns and was very fun to ride.

It's a fun coaster, but be prepared for some head rattling and neck pain on the old wooden track. Also be prepared for extremely long lines on busy days. Come in off peak hours/days if possible so you don't have to stand around forever

I've been coming to the board walk since I was a baby. I could remember getting in the bench seat as a kid with my parents. Nothing but a bar holding us back. The Giant Dipper will never disappoint! The speed, the turns, the flying in your seat when your a kid thinking you're going to fly out. Nothing feels more free, to me. It's iconic, it's been there since 1924. And still standing and sending the people screaming!! If you haven't gone you need to go! Hold on to your hats. My uncle lost his on my 13th birthday day ๐Ÿ˜†

Great to have the Boardwalk back open again, even if it only is on weekends for now. They need to make sure they have some rides at all times open for the kiddos though.

The ride was fun the first 2 times but then when we went back again, they didnโ€™t even give us time to put away our stuff and they didnโ€™t give us warning when they started it. We were being thrown around but it was just painful because a lot of my friends ended up with scratches and bruises and some of them fainted because the made it go to fast. Itโ€™s like they sped it up to make the ride go faster and be more โ€œefficientโ€but it was just dumb and unsafe. The ride would also stop randomly. All iโ€™ll say it ride at your own risk. ๐Ÿ˜’

Really fun coaster. Came on a Thursday and had the unlimited rides pass. It wasn't to busy and my fiance and I only failed 15 minutes to get on. The ride is really fun but be prepared to be thrown around a bit!

Honestly a fantastic ride with a lot of history behind it. There's usually a very long wait, but if you go for the discounted nights over the summer, lines are tolerable and barely even a factor. The ride is about 2 minutes long and gets going pretty fast (something like 55mph).

I loved Giant Dipper! This 1924 woodie is now 98 years old as of 2022. I loved the airtime in the back row and the laterals are strong on the turnarounds. I liked the drop into the tunnel and there is a pretty view from the 70 ft tall lift hill. ACE (American Coaster Enthusiasts) National Landmark and National Historic Landmark! So much history!

I go on the Giant Dipper at least once a year while visiting in the area on vacation. Love it every time I go on it.

Excellent ride! The wait time is 40 minutes! Ride attendants are very helpful and friendly, one pushed down when the train didnโ€™t stop right! If you want a shorter wait then off season and opening time is a go!

The Giant Dipper is a real classic. Before I took a spin on the coaster, I was unsure what level of fun it would deliver. I have no idea where the skepticism came from because every moment on this rollercoaster was a delightful surprise--right from the get go. I couldn't recommend a better thrill on the boardwalk.

Even though this roller coaster is the 5th oldest in the U.S., it still never gets old! This was one of the most fun 2 minutes I've ever experienced at the board walk

    I. LOVED. THIS. RIDE!! Going as fast as 55 miles an hour and standing at a whopping 70 feet, this rollercoaster is perfect for those wanting a thrill that will raise you from your seat (literally)! Don't forget to pose for the camera, and maybe buy yourself a photo package for $14.99 and/or Giant Dipper merchandise at the end!!

It's always fun at the boardwalk. Could have some vegan options for those with dietary issues but overall a fun filled time. Wish rides stayed opened longer though.

I have avoided riding this for years, but finally decided to - totally worth it. Fun classic wooden coaster. Wooden coasters sometimes can be rough on the back, but this one is pretty good. It's surprisingly fun and exciting for an older coaster!

4.5 out of 5 stars An awesome classic roller coaster. Though it is very old it worked quite well. However, there was this one turn that hurt my neck. The roller coaster had a lot of rises and dips and was fun to ride. The wait for the ride can be long.
