Simply some of the most amazing doughnuts, visual, artistic, and delicious, I have ever seen much less eaten. Absolutely worth a stop, super friendly service and unique art to eat, who could ask for more.

Amazing!! The donuts are absolutely stunning and delicious. Truly a special business to come to Cannery Row. Our family gets donuts every Sunday morning and we could not have been more excited to try RNRDB. The decor and experience were absolutely delightful and the owner was very welcoming and super nice. We will definitely be back. (The strawberry shortcake donut was FIRE!)

Delicious, all-vegan donuts! And for those naysayers, don't let "vegan" turn you off - these tasted just like regular creamy and custardy should, vegan or not. These are definitely over-the-top and indulgent, and well worth as a treat (perhaps better as dessert than breakfast). Plus, the staff was extremely fun and helpful. I wish I lived locally so I could enjoy these regularly. Despite their official open hours, go early for the best selection and to grab a few before they sell out.

Rock ‘n roll donut bar was the highlight of our day trip to Monterey California. If you’re ever this way, you have to stop bye all the donuts are 100% plant-based food art! The most beautiful, delicious donuts I’ve ever eaten 🍩 The staff was beyond friendly and helpful

When walking in we were nicely greeted by the new owner who told us about the options. Milkshakes aren't served yet as they are so new and still testing them out. However donuts are a plenty. We got a raspberry one for $3 which is a great price for how decorative it is.

This place is decorated sooo cool and the ambiance is really comfortable and the owner was so friendly and very nice. I hate that we are leaving a 3 star review, because we really wanted to love this place. From the moment you walk in its fun and bright and there is just so much to look at. However I will say I think we just came on an off day because I have friends who have visited here and raved about it. We plan on going back to Monterey in a couple of months and I definitely want to give this place another shot. The morning we came the owner was kind of frazzled and was by himself dealing with all of the opening duties plus customers so I get that, we had no problem waiting around for him to get settled and do what he needed to. He did mention to us that his morning started off crazy because the Aquarium placed a huge order and he had to deliver and get back to open up shop. Everything looked perfect and delicious, his donuts are definitely easy on the eyes and there are many to choose from its hard just to get more than a couple. We also ordered a coffee and he gave that to us on the house for waiting which was so (amazingly nice of him) we were super stoked to bite into our donuts but when we did they tasted so stale and old :( my husbands berry fritter was really stale and crumbled apart once he took his first bite. Our chocolate bar and chocolate rounds were also just very tough and seemed old. I was so sad and I truly do think we just came on an off day like I said, it won’t deter me from trying this place out again because if my rating were solely on customer service/ambiance it would be a 5 stars for us! Thank you for the superb service, the free coffee and also the military discount! We appreciated it all!

Donuts were good. Almost all made on the square donut and a bunch of different toppings. No jelly filled. One type of old fashion with sprinkles. Only one person serving and ringing up people so it took a while. Its a good after dinner quick dessert. We had the cookie dough and chocolate with sprinkles.

This place is awesome! Really good the owner is awesome he was really kind and friendly, you can tell he likes his job and the staff is very friendly too! Besides that the donuts are GREAT I love them! They are so good I love how there was so many options! A huge variety I felt like a kid in a candy shop with so many options. The place is clean, gender neutral bathrooms:) friendly staff, awesome donuts! The donuts are so good even the breakfast burritos are great!! Everything is vegan! A huge plus :) will be definitely coming again very satisfied. Also is near cannery row and the aquarium, a good breakfast place if going near there 😁

Great customer service. Greeted when we came in. Incedibly friendly. Great atmosphere. They take great pride in their products. The Chef was making sure everything was perfect. I couldn't help but notice he was taking his time and making sure only the best strawberries were going in each donut.This is a must stop. And on top of that the donuts were spectacular. Such a great treat.

I had the maple donut (which I didn't take a picture of) and it was the BEST donut I've ever had in my entire life. SO good!! I'm kind of glad I don't live local because I would be there all the time. Seriously, go, whether you are vegan or not, you absolutely can't tell the difference. They will blow you away!

A huge variety of donuts (entirely vegan!), an almost too cute interior design, indoor and outdoor seating. I haven’t tried the savory menu yet but it looks delicious. I’d give you 500 stars but Google limits me to 5.

freaking amazing donuts and customer service! the staff put up with our jokes and interrogation about ingredients, he happily told us all donuts were fully vegan! as someone who opts out of sweets due to a vegan diet I was skeptical at first, but every one of my questions were answered confidently - no dairy, no eggs, no animal fats.. soy-based whipped cream is used, even “old fashioned” style donuts were made egg free. I am wholly impressed with the variety and quality of the donuts and can’t wait to go back. But also happy it’s a decent car trip from us. last but not least, the espresso was also tasty!

Donuts delicious, ambiance delightful, choices extraordinary and the people that work there were nice, helpful and my experience was pleasant. Would definitely go again. The inner child in me was singing.

This place has such a cute ambiance. The donuts were displaced well. There were so many great options that it was very difficult to choose. On average each donut cost 3-5 dollars. The donuts itself was really good, just made sure your eat it right away or the icing will melt. I had the mermaid, which had chocolate and icing, the raspberry filled donut and the marshmallow donuts. The service was okay. She picked the smaller donuts for us which was a bummer and I think she didn't like that we took a while .... But we were the only ones. They also sell beer. We had a great time enjoying the donuts with beer.

Good donuts but definitely not vegan. My fiance and I went here because supposedly the donuts are all vegan. She has a dairy allergy so we had to make sure. There was absolutely ZERO signage saying their donuts are all vegan which was a big red flag because Ive never seen a single place not advertise something like that on site. We asked the woman at the counter and she said they were all vegan. We each got a donut and within about 5-10 minutes, my fiances throat and chest started tightening up as a reaction to some kind of dairy product, be it milk, butter, whey, etc. We both agree that the donuts tasted great but they are definitely not all vegan. If you have strong allergic reactions to anything dairy based, I highly recommend you steer clear for your own safety. Edit: The owner replied with a link and said it's vegan. Idk what the case is then because there was definitely some kind of reaction. Again though, if vegan isnt an issue, they were very good.

Great donuts and even better friendly staff. The owner accommodated “the non locals” when we were looking for something to eat at 5:30 am, they open at 8:00 am. He was inside getting a large order to go but was happy to serve us.

Get the strawberry shortcake! It's sooooo fluffy with fresh fresh strawberries and cream and is just the RIGHT level of sweetness (as in Asian bakeries instead of American). It's not a donut, it's a top grade dessert made of donut dough. And survived a 5 hour wait between purchase and eating. I like how it's a stealth vegan place lool. Will go for their savory items too next time I'm in the area!

Super delicious donuts!! We had no idea that all of the options were vegan, and honestly Idt people would have been able to tell at all. I’m not sure how they make the whipped cream fillings but they were soooo light and perfect! We came back every day we were in Monterey, and each time bought 6+ donuts. My favorite was the coffee mocha crumble! I didn’t get to try their savory options, but will be back to try them next time I’m in the area!

First time customer! Came to grab some donuts to celebrate a client's graduation and her favorite snack is donuts. Grabbed a few treats and she loved them! There were so many options but there was only so much two people could eat in delicious pastries so unfortunately there were a ton I wasn't able to try out. Service was quick and attentive. The guy helping was patient and polite while I took a bit too long deciding what to order. Overall a very pleasant experience and the donuts were absolutely delicious! I'm a big fan of cinnamon so those really made me happy. Also if you're a local, be sure to let them know! 😉

What a cute and unique spot! The vibe is so fun and I think these are the best donuts I’ve ever had in the entire Bay Area. They were so fresh and delicious. So many different kinds it’s so hard to choose!! The staff were so friendly and kind as well. This gem has only been open for about eight months but I’m 100% coming back.

This place has the best customer service! We went in on a Saturday and were greeted right away. Very friendly staff and you can really tell they love what they do here. We were able to try the limited edition turkey (shaped) glazed donuts and they did not disappoint. The death by chocolate donut was so good as well! I especially love this shop being that they don’t use nut products which is crucial for my daughter who has a nut allergy. They were nice enough to respond to me when I messaged them directly asking about this. We really appreciate when we feel heard and accommodated. Love how fun these donuts are, we will definitely return when we are back in town!

These donuts are a must try if you're in the area looking for Dairy Free, Egg Free, Vegan options. I wish they were a bit more MOIST and had more filling. The service was great with their extremely friendly and helpful staff. Bathrooms were well kept. 👍🏼
