The staff here are very nice. My kids have had an excellent experience with swim lessons. The programs they do such as the haunted trail are top notch. I have recently been attending the Thursday night yoga class and the instructor is very good.

This is the city rec center . Supposed to support physics well being of the new generation, aside from money . We pay taxes . They made me pay 20$ for my 3 kids , just to try and play some basket ball, I am a member , they are kids aged 10, 8, 6 . No problem I would pay but they came after 25 mins telling me they are closing ! And this isn’t the first time . 2 other times . I am sorry but this seems like a money hungry place . No courtesy for a member or kids . Please inform me that you would close soon. Even the Crocker park parking meters don’t charge you after a certain time . It’s a shame . And please try and promote kids physical activity . Rediculous .

I’m honestly very upset with the way I was treated by the rudest front desk older lady. I never leave bad reviews, but that behavior was so rude and embarrassing. Immediately when we walked in she snapped at me saying I couldn’t prove that I lived in Westlake. I went and got my mail and proved I lived there. After I filled out the form I proceeded to pay with Apple Pay (there is a big Apple Pay sign by payment) she then literally YELLED at me saying “WE DONT TAKE THAT WE DONT TAKE THAT” I then proceeded to say “wow I’m sorry that upset you so much.” She then said “get your mail” and I was so shocked in the moment how rudely and aggressively this whole interaction felt! I wanted to love this Rec center (being that we just moved to Westlake) and I can say I will never be back simply because of how poorly me and my children were treated. I really hope others don’t receive the same service I have.

Don’t play in the sports leagues here rakayla and Paula allow racism and this resulted in them losing tons of sports teams

Front desk woman that worked today provided as bad as customer service as you could imagine. Were she my employee and I heard the way she interacted with multiple birthday party guests, she’d be fired. To whoever reads this, do yourself a favor and reprimand this middle age woman before she gives future kids a nightmare worse than the Wicked Witch of the West. You know it’s bad when multiple parents in the birthday party talk about her rudeness and lack of customer service etiquette. With the way she acted, some parent is going to turn the tables on her one day and rightfully so.

The facility is great the weight room and basketball courts are amazing and clean. Don’t sign up for the sports leagues they used to be great and have multiple divisions and 8-10 teams per a division when they had Adam and Jim in charge, after they got a new staff of Rakayla and Paula the leagues have basically become a joke. There used to be 20-30 teams for men’s basketball now there’s no more Sunday night basketball. Men’s softball used to have 4 divisions with 8-10 teams now they have 5 teams total in one division. Last session the opposite team started drinking alcohol when it’s against there rules and calling us racial slurs and we asked the umps to issue warnings but they didn’t and then the opposite team attacked us before the game ended and rakayla basically tried pinning the blame on us and said it was okay they had alcohol even though it’s against there rules she said she’s not the cops and can’t force them to not drink. She basically allowed the opposite team to get away with it because they’ve been in the league for a long time and she said they are a popular team but she tried kicking us out forever. She’s a joke and so is Paula Horner, the police officer who helped us even said we did nothing wrong.

Great place! Great selection of gym equipment and free weights, fun indoor pool, lots of classes, and big playground.

Baseball fields are trash. Soccer fields are trash. Restrooms are trash. Huge investment in Community Center & Pickleball Courts for the blue hairs. Kids get the brown end of the stick again.

The party room was very nice! The women's bathroom across from the party room was stinky 😞

I LOVE this rec center! I'm going with a friend for now, but I may join!! And I live in Strongsville! The aquatics here are outstanding! Love the various pools. All wonderful and clean!

Rudest lady at the front desk on the phone. Judging by the comments, I’m not the only one. She sounds like such a miserable old lady. It’s okay, didn’t want the membership here anyway.

I was there to work the polls. The two employees of the center I spoke with were friendly, helpful, and pleasant. From what little I was able to see, it looks like a nice recreation center.

Staff always on phones and not paying attention. In pool area, 2-3 lifeguards are on “break” while 1-2 lifeguards oversee all of the other pools. Kids are allowed to roam freely in locker rooms and pool areas with no supervision. Rarely do people wipe down machines when done. And just rolled out summer hours that close at 6pm on Saturdays. Add to the fact that the pool is always filled of people barely swimming and just floating for over an hour while you stand there waiting for them To get done. Glad I left and joined another gym.

This would be a five star rating except for how crowded the swim lanes always are. Signs are now posted to have two swimmers in ALL lanes (very tight) and there’s still a wait. Don’t join if your intent is to swim. Other than that, facilities are top notch. Clean locker rooms. Nice people.

I love our Rec center! If you have a membership you get FREE classes. Ive been taking yoga & its seriously changed my life. WLR has an amazing indoor pool, work out room & basket ball court. It's always clean and well put together and the staff are extremely kind. 👏

Great variety of classes. Sledding hill for winter. Paved walking paths. Playground. Fish pond. Good family fun, including the dog!
