Best southern food experience. I’ve tried the Dirty Bird (spiced and non-Spivey) as well as the Florida breakfast, waffles and steaks and eggs (it helps when you go in a group and you get to try a piece of everything) their food is filling and delicious.

The food here was so good that the first taste of grits brought a tear to my wife's eye. I always ask for additional butter, salt, and pepper for mine, but not this time. They were perfect and so was everything we had. We will be back next time we visit.

The portion was HUGE! I ate around 3p and there was no need for dinner. Food was amazing- moist biscuits, soft pancakes, creamy grits, and a big cup for my tea! It was such a treat dinning here.

Randomly came across this restaurant. All the employees were friendly, the restaurant itself has very unquie decor. And most importantly the food was very good. My daughter, who is a very picky eater, devoured their stuff french toast in 5 minutes. Would definitely go back again.

Amazing! Everything from the bfast tacos to the fried green tomatoes was delicious. But the icing on the cake...the creme de la creme...the cranberry apple butter. If you don't take a jar home to share this experience, you're just selfish.

It's tradition for me to visit the flying Biscuit whenever I visit Atlanta. I'm not a fan of grits until I tried there's. Ever since then I've been willing to try grits but none have come close to the flying Biscuit. I have always tried something different every time I've been there and nothing thus far has been a disappointment. I've eaten everything as is. No salt, pepper or syrup. The biscuits are amazing but the apple butter is a true star that completes the biscuit.

Very nice service and good food. The grits here are the best grits I've had in my life. The waffle could have been brought out sooner because it was soggy by the time it reached our table. The whipped cream was also totally melted.

Me & my partner love this spot for brunch. Food never takes long and we always have some food to take home. The biscuits with the white sauce cream is my faveee. I normally get the same dish everytime I come but can never remember the name 🥴😂 (This is from my dining experience in October 2022)

First time at this location and it was a great experience. Our server was so absolutely AMAZING!~ I would give her a shout out but I can't remember her name. She was GORGEOUS!~ Dimples, great smile, warm personality and she wore a Hijab. If you're reading this THANK YOU for such GREAT service!~ Our food was hot, no waiting at all, and everything was delicious. The staff was very welcoming!~

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very quaint, not many tables for dine in. It feels like this places has great ideas but also an identity crisis. I ordered breakfast tacos which sounds great bc it's pancakes instead of tortilla with eggs and chicken chorizo. But the pancakes are too soft to hold anything together so it all falls apart and makes a mess. The chicken chorizo didn't taste good. I ordered a Bloody Mary and they said they make it with sake. Very strange, but I decided to try it. The bloody mix they use was pretty gross, and they water down the sake so the drink just had no flavor. There pancakes were pretty good and the grits was delicious but not a fan of their menu.

Rory was our server. What an awesome guy. His recommendations were "spot on!" He was very responsive to our needs/wants. Friendly guy. Great food - crab cake eggs Benedict, Mexican wrap, pimento cheese eggs Benedict and southern scramble. What a way to start a Sunday! Thanks Rory!

I have to say that I have never been a huge fan of Flying Biscuit. I have been there several times in the past, and the biscuits were hard, and the food was mediocre. This time I had a more pleasant experience. I ordered it for delivery at work because I was starving. I’m usually not impressed by scrambled eggs, but they were pretty good. The bacon and gravy were adds ons for just in case 5e biscuit and eggs were bad. They were both really good too. The highlight to me were the biscuit and grits. The grits were creamy and tasty. The biscuit was soft and fluffy. You could eat it by itself. That’s a good thing, because my only complaint is the jam/jelly they sent with the meal. It was really unimpressive to me. I have to say, after this impulse order I will definitely try it again one day.

Great food, never disappoints with the French toast and biscuits! If you're in the area for some good breakfast in a relaxed environment, I highly recommend this location.

Best made from scratch biscuits where even the Togo biscuits makes my morning every morning of the week. Out of this world creamy dreamy grits. No wonder this is the spot to be. Great location. When I have a great experience, I always try to talk to the staff. I love how management/owners are so passionate about food quality, customer service, and cleanliness. I don't know of another restaurant that hires a cleaning company to clean daily, in addition to the great job the staff does already. Kudos to a great team! I even love the decorative ceiling tiles. Lastly, did they really have to go so far as having the best chocolate chip cookies ever?!?!!

During a recent visit to The Flying Biscuit, a vibrant café nestled on a bustling street, my wife and I had a fairly mixed experience. The exterior's colorful ambiance seamlessly extends to the interior, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The service was commendable; our waitress displayed remarkable friendliness, and we were seated without much delay. Our order consisted of coffee and hot tea, which were served promptly, a positive start to our meal. For breakfast, I chose the Egg-stravaganza while my wife opted for Steak and Eggs. The café's vibe was exceptional, greatly enhanced by an excellent selection of music. However, my enthusiasm waned when it came to the food. While the grits were creamy, they were regrettably oversalted. Both the sausage and bacon suffered from overcooking, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the meal. The highlight, not surprisingly, was the biscuit paired with toast, elegantly topped with crème anglaise and raspberry drizzle - a delightful combination of flavors. Despite the shortcomings in our main dishes, the positive aspects of The Flying Biscuit, like the atmosphere and service, make us open to giving it another try. Hopefully, on our next visit, the breakfast offerings will better match the high standards set by the other elements of this eclectic café.

We are visiting for a couple of days and I looked up this place and it had great reviews. There are many locations. I had the stuffed french toast with scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, grits, and a biscuit. Everything was really delicious. My husband had the pancake tacos with the breakfast potatoes. He also said that everything was delicious. I would go again but I would try a different location next time just to see how they compare.

The flying biscuit is a fun and a little whimsical breakfast place. Family owned with very nice servers and staff. The food was good, not exceptional. The portion size was good. And the presentation was good. Nothing was exceptional. Nothing was bad. The kicker is that it is expensive. They’re a new business, so I’ll forgive the very slow service, but with those prices, I won’t be coming back as a regular customer.

Just ordered breakfast from this location and each container of syrup had not one, but SEVERAL dead and alive flies in them. And upon opening my food several live flies came out. This was not a delivery issue as my food was SEALED when I got it. This is a restaurant issue. I of course had to throw the food away. First time trying it and definitely the last. Don’t eat here. Very disgusting.

Landed at The Flying Biscuit on McLendon on our first day visiting Atlanta. What a warm welcome from the host and server! The atmosphere was a whole vibe... everyone here was happy! And after I tasted my meal (Southern Scramble with the creamy dreamy grits) I know why! I had never had grits before and had to Google what they were... but let me tell you they were so good! Really had a great time here!

We ate at the Breiercreek location during prime brunch hours on the Sunday of Black Friday weekend so if there was ever a time to put a restaurant to the test this would be it and they absolutely aced the test! Everyone from the receptionist to the bartender was great! Everything we ordered was good but the Shrimp and grits were phenomenal! We search for them everywhere we travel and these were absolutely top notch! The place was super busy but it was a short wait to be seated, the food came out surprisingly quickly and everyone was super friendly. We will definitely visit again!

This was my best friend and I's first time eating at flying biscuit Cafe and we were so satisfied. The food was delicious and our server Tiffany was the sweetest. She really went above and beyond to give us an amazing first time experience. She gave us great suggestions off the menu and was very helpful. Overall, the staff was just wonderful and vibrant. Will be coming here again.

I tried chicken and waffles wherever I visit. I had the Dirty Bird. Chicken well seasoned, waffles fluffy, eggs cooked like I like. Skipped the chicken gravy. Potatoes just average. Biscuits ok but the cranberry applebutter was a show stealer.

Delicious! Extremely vegetarian friendly. We were able to easily switch chicken sausage with beyond meat veggie sausage. The grits, moon dusted potatoes, and the spicy vegan collard greens especially stood out, but all the food was tasty. I'm honestly already to go back, and glad that I still have some leftovers!

Stopped by for breakfast with my wife and baby girl and it was such a pleasant experience. One thing we wish was better was the amount of whatever sweet icing is inside the stuffed French toast because we got such a small coating of it. Genet was very attentive and so helpful and friendly! She even packed our to go boxes in a bag which of course she didn’t have to do but she did! Will go back and ask for her every time. Thank you so much Genet!!

My sister took me here for a birthday brunch❤️♓ They played 80s music that was so nostalgic and we had a window table that let in lots of natural light. The potatoes were especially delicious, as was the grits and pancakes! I enjoyed ever second of our visit!

I wouldn’t change a single thing about this place. Each of the staff from the busser who was outside on break who welcomed me and opened the door to the amazing and kind servers to the talented chefs. I love a classic breakfast but every item I had was beyond great. Hands down the best grits I’ve ever had, the biscuits especially with the apple butter was out of this world! Now I’m extremely sad that I don’t live here because I won’t be able to enjoy this anytime soon. I truly hope to come back because this was amazing!

I ordered the veggie scramble with 1/2 rosemary potatoes and 1/2 cheesy grits, and a black coffee. The meal was so delicious and was the best grits of my life. I’m not too fond of grits because it seems dull; this was the first time I finished my grits and wanted more. Our waiter, Chris, was super cool, friendly and had a great personality. I recommend sitting with him and getting a fun personal experience. I was on a road trip for a night, but next time I am in town, I’ll make a point to stop here again for breakfast with friends. Thank you, guys!

Wait is a little long but they're always really busy. Because they're busy they don't check on you too much so make sure you tell the waitress everything you want when she comes to you. They do a good job with moving people along. You can tell they stay focused.

First time visitor!! I ordered the southern scramble. It's scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, onions, Collard greens and cheese. It was different and delicious 😋! I'm a true grits girl to my heart. The grits didn't disappoint. They were creamy and delicious 😋.

I’ve been here several times and it’s consistently good. They have the best grits I’ve ever eaten, so creamy and flavorful. And of course their biscuits are amazing, moist and fluffy. It can get a little tight in there especially if you sit at one of the two seaters. I’ve had issues a few times being forgotten when they have a waitlist. But it hasn’t deterred me from enjoying this place.

Delicious! What a fun stop for a quick bite to eat. So so so many options that all looked great. I got the oatmeal pancake with peach compote (THICK but great) and a biscuit with apple butter (omg the Apple butter was delicious). Super friendly and helpful staff. Not too bad of a wait either around 1 pm on a Saturday. Maybe 15 minutes?

Decent food but service was very very slow. Was not really impressed with the avocado toast, the biscuits were delicious though. Bathrooms were not that clean. Would I come again? Probably not.

The food was delicious, the service was great, although the place felt a little bit stuffy and not ventilated well enough we made do. Definitely try the biscuit and the French toast was also delicious.

Visited this eatery and was very pleased. The wait wasn't long, about 10 minutes. Our waitress, Amina, was extremely nice, helpful with getting and setting up a high chair, and very knowledgeable of the menu. My meal was delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed our meals. My husband says his eggs were cooked harder than he liked. That was about it. I will return. There are many things I want to try.
