This place is amazing! It was my first time coming here. Never knew that such amazing place existed. I came for a movie screening event that was moderating and I was flabbergasted at the beautiful sight of relics/artifacts and stories of Igbo histories on the walls. I learnt a lot from this one day visit and I was made to understand that I could visit the library or the museum. The space isn't that much, but it is enough for intimate gatherings like meet-and-greet, book club and book review, and small speaking events. It was fun. I totally recommend.

The Centre for memories holds events centered around the Igbo people and culture. There is also an Ozoemena exhibition which displays all the events before, during and after the Biafran War. Good place to visit to learn about the war, and also participate in Igbo centric activities

Love the vision and mission of this organization. I enjoy visiting with my duo and attending their numerous programs and screenings when I can. The last program I attended had Dike Chukwumerije as a speaker and it was absolutely mesmerizing and awakening as usual. There is usually an interesting, mostly historical , art exhibit on display at the center and there are children books and resources and well as adult books on sale. Keep it up center for Memories EnuguπŸ‘πŸΎ

It's always lovely visiting the Centre For Memories. Beyond the amazing exhibitions currently on display, they have great programming for everyone - Nzukọ Ềmα»₯aka for children every last Saturday of the month, the 90-minutes Mentorship session for young people every first Friday of the month at noon, and the ΕƒkΓ tΓ‘ Ề́mα»₯Μ€ ÍbΓ¨ which holds every first Friday of the month. Find time to visit the Centre.

Centre for memories brings to life the history of the Igbo people. It displays the various arts, crafts and books that showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Igbo nation. Their attempt to retell the Igbo story using evidences from the past is truly a good one. If you haven't visited, today is the perfect day to visit.

This is a must visit site for Igbo's searching for knowledge about our culture, beliefs and traditions. A great museum with expert guides and a roomy ambience, a true gem. I'm so happy I went here, out of respect to the museum I won't be posting detailed pictures like I normally do. You just have to see and experience it for yourself. Enjoy!

The Centre is a wonderful repository/museum, the only one of its kind in South Eastern Nigeria, that has done a good job of preserving a significant part of the history of Nigeria especially as it affects the region. Of course there is still room for improvement but it is wonderful start and their collection is wonderful. You certainly feel a wave of bittersweet emotions as you walk through the gallery. It is hoped though that more contemporary authors and heroes like Chimamanda Adichie will grace their walls. I enjoyed my outing to the Centre.

It's very nice for someone like me who is a history buff. The location is not that great, the place is a bit hidden but it is a good place to go to refresh your knowledge on Igbo history.

A historical center. Repository for the Igbo culture. There is always indigenous art exhibitions ongoing. The resident director, Aku is very helpful and willing to provide help and support concerning Igbo history and practices. There is a fun book filled library for kids accessible for all ages. The Centre has art, Bill boards, materials, language learning aids, games and books concerning the Igbo culture. A great tourist attraction and worth visiting.

Centre For Memories is literally a 'Hall of Fame'. Twas here I met my heroes past. Twas here I reached out to my fathers. Twas here they reminded me of who I am and who I should be. Visiting the Centre was like reaching back over the decades to shake hands with those who built the future I'm enjoying. Now I know I have to strive to leave my mark, to create a better future for those coming after.

It was a wonderful experience visiting the museum and I learnt so much from the Nigerian Civil War Exhibition. The Exhibition was very detailed and I felt like I was relieving the civil war. The pictures were real and the timeline of activities felt so real. The staff were nice. A beautiful space that preserves the Igbo's culture and heritage. With a monthly theme that speaks about various talents and skills from ndi Igbo. I will recommend this place as an easy spot for those who want to learn more about the Igbo's, culture, history and their traditions. Ncheta umu Igbo. Remembrance of the Igbo's. My bookclub hosted a hangout here and it was very nice to have a glimpse of history through the eyes of the east . There are really cool artefacts from important newspaper clippings , to ancient currency and pictures of leaders of old. It’s quiet, and nested in between residential buildings. We spent over an hour here. You might have to call ahead to ask for a tourguide. For Directions Stop at Agric Bank bus stop at Independence Layout, walk down the road on the other side of the bank. There's a keke park around there. Tell them you are going to Centre for Memories
