The Ngwo Pine Forest in itself is a tourism destination. Even more, it is the gateway to the breathtaking Ngwo cave and waterfall. You should visit especially if you reside in South Eastern Nigeria...and make sure you take a bath in the spring waters from the cave

This is a forest with a beautiful canopy coverings of pine trees. It is located in a farming community on the outskirt of Enugu, the capital of Enugu state. The park is free to enter but you would have to negotiate with the locals to take you to the waterfall inside a cave for a fee. You can have picnics at the park with family and friends and it is best to have your mosquito repellent handy. The journey to the caves look scary because there is no defined path but the locals seem to have mastered the way.

This is more like a government reserved area because of the uniqueness of the trees there..the forest is located along court avenue down to toscana hotel and Michael Okpara square Enugu..when you want to go for landscape photography and picnic this location is not a bad idea..

I love it here, this place ought to be made more recreational, and well taken care of. Had to pay these guy #1000 to take me down the hill. I really don’t know what the money was for because I wasn’t given a receipt. But the sight is amazing. Descending the hill was crazy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ almost collapsed. Enugu state government ought to invest here and make here a tourist attraction center. I would love to come again.

Its not for public access. Its inside Godfrey Okoye university which in turn makes it accessible only students of the said university.

A very beautiful natural place to go for picnics, photo shoots, relaxation etc But one thing I don’t like is how poorly the government and villagers are handling there. Some people cut the pine trees, dump garbages there, set fire there which has destroyed some trees. Please if you want to go there respect nature please stop destroying what God has blessed us with πŸ˜”πŸ™πŸ’š

This pine forest is simply majestic, one of the many tourist attractions in Enugu. Although i wasn't able to tour the whole forest but the parts i visited were magical but the place isn't being taken care of as much as it should because some of the forest tree are being cut down and am afraid if that continues within the next 10 years nothing like Ngwo pine forest will be in existence.

The place is beautiful and serene. An awesome place for a picnic. There's however no security, or system of maintenance. You'll need to have your personal security and clean up your area after leaving.

Ngwo Pine Forest Forest is located in Old Enugu-Onitsha Rd, Ngwo-Asaa, Nigeria. The forest is a treat to watch as it is considered a great scenic beauty. There is a dozen of fascinating caves built from limestone, which are nothing but god gifted to the local people of the region. Ngwo Pine Forest attracts many local as well as international tourists. There is also a pool formed at the base of the caves through the natural waterfall. The tourists come here to enjoy and relax. If you have a hectic schedule and tired of doing a lot of work then you can visit here. It will remove all the stress and make your body super light.

The forest used to be so beautiful with a thick canopy, now half the tree population has been felled by locals who are gradually converting the land to crop landπŸ™ Something has to be done quickly by the Min of Forestry to save that place.

A nice natural environment, neglected and no form of government presence. Good for group picnics and photo shoots. The waterfall is a bit far into the valley, if you must go down to the waterfall be sure your fit enough for the journey back up. Don't stay till night fall. Overall was a nice experience with nature.

this place used to be beauty when i was growing up unfortunately today not a lot of the pines are left. you see rows where trees have gone missing and pieces of land that have been turned into farm land. its a pity the state isnt doing anything to maintain this as an attraction. Visitors are helping either as they leave their rubbish in a pile and go Please people respect the Environment

The hills and forests hold great views in the peaceful area. Well tarred roads lead you up or down the hilly Ngwo area. Your main sources of transportation will mostly be tricycles and commuter buses, as there are no bikes allowed to commute in Enugu. In the city centers, you should be able to get taxis as well. Had an enjoyable stay.
