My favourite shopping area. Its located in Amaenyi, Awka town, Anambra state. From eke Awka to the market cost 100 naira, from Aroma to the market cost 100 naira as well. It's known for fresh fruits, fresh perishable foods, and non perishables like tin tomatoes, maggi, spices, pad, tissues etc, fresh vegetables are sold there as well. Electrical, most house equipments are hardly found there. Their sales are at affordable prices. It is famous for its perishables produce. The parking spaces are a bit uncomfortable because it isn't safely spaced. The roads are a bit clustered but one could enter inside the streets close to the market to park.

Unlike the markets that obey the four market days rule,Nkwo Amaenyi is a popular market that operate on a daily basis from 7am to literally 10pm. Apart from the popular Eke Awka market in the heart of Awka,Nkwo is the biggest market accessible to inhabitants of Amudo, Amachalla,Umuoramma,Umuayom,Nkwelle and Umunnoke villages in Awka town. You can practically get any and everything in this market ranging from clothings to cosmetics and beauty products to meat and frozen items to foodstuffs as well as fruits and vegetables etc.. Even live chickens are sold,killed and prepared in Nkwo market. The popular Obu Imoka shrine is also located around the Nkwo market. Their sale prices are user friendly and slightly costlier than Eke Awka which is the biggest market in Awka. There is no resting period for Nkwo market women,even on Sundays,The market is on as people troop in and out getting the necessary things they need. If you live far from Eke Awka or you live around Amudo, Amachalla or Aroma,Nkwo is your Go-To market. And If you ever visit Nkwo market,do well to buy their Legendary Akara(bean cake),you'll thank me later!...

This market place is one in the town of Awka, after Eke Awka market. It is a small but busy market that you can as well buy some of the things you can get in a bigger market here. But the market sells more of food stuffs and provisional food items. You can buy fried Akara balls and pap in the market Electronics products like television are not actually the things you can buy here. You can see cosmetics shops, butchers corner; where you can buy meat and fish. The market has been modified in the sense that some villages in Awka who owns some partition in the market have contributed to the renovation of the markets. A politician in Awka by the name ICHELE AWKA has also contributed in the development of the market by paying a water drilling company that dug a borehole to support the market with water supply. The bad news is that those managing the borehole and doing it well. the borehole lack proper maintenance.

It's a nice place to get things at cheap rate

It is a local market located along the road. But I would say you will get all you need from provisions, food items, drinks, plastics, kitchen utensils e.t.c

I was able to but food stuffs, groceries and beverages here at affordable prices.

Medium sized market compared to Eke Awka. There's almost no difference in prices Things are just getting expensive everywhere 😭😭

It's quite okay, I love the fruit section, though the bananas can be quite expensive, it's achievable anyway.

There's much traffic during market closing hours. It's a good market place for local food items.

It comes in handy when you want to buy good stuff, and meat are cheaper than any other place in Awka

The market is relatively good to get essentials without having to go down and face the traffic at Eke-Awka

You can get any foodstuffs here and the prices too are affordable, it's an everyday market including on Sundays.

Nkwo amaenyi is a local market that serves the immediate needs of the of the awka metropolis.

The ever busy market was flooded with fruits of various types such as water melon, garden egg, banana, etc.

Nkwo Amaenyi is excellent. You get all good things to buy-food items, drinks, etc. It is really a Capital City market for convenience.

This is an active market. You will find general food items and livestock to purchase here. The market extends to the road and most time can result to traffic gridlock to motorists

Easily accessible. You can get almost all fruits, food items and some household equipments you want there.

Not a big market. You'll have to go to Eke Awka if you are serious about buying much stuff

Nkwo Amaenyi is a small market compare to Eke Awka that offers food items,clothing,electrical products and so on.It is easy to locate and has more than four access roads.

The market is quite good, you can get food stuffs at very affordable rates. But the environment is not that ok.
