Great place for family outings. It will be challenging to find parking and different sections of park at first but when you will know you will prefer coming here every week. Clean parks and good snacks stalls are available here. Amazing work by government to convert once barren place into beautiful outing spot. There is huge rush outside the park, but calm and peaceful inside park. Kids love this place as it contains many entertainment items for kids.

Exciting hang out place with friends and family. This recently opened facility at the the Kathipara Junction is indeed quite an innovation step by the authorities with smart commerical use of the area for superior public use. Come here for eat, play and for fun 24/7. The entertaining part is that even after midnight you'll find the crowd throngs here enjoying food and cool weather. You can easily spend couple of hours, and there are several food joints to choose from, all types of delicious dishes available. Good thing is ample parking available. We had great time!

This is a very good usage of space. Nice concept, quite clean and neatly maintained. There are quite a lot of shops and a variety of restaurants. This is going to be a popular hangout spot on this side of the city.

Great place to spend time with your family. The park is beautiful and well maintained. There is a food court inside. There is a huge rush during evenings. The park tends to get crowded and you may find it difficult to park your vehicle.

Such a chilled out place in Chennai. I visited Chennai after 10 years and felt so much at ease seeing the city grow. We came at 2am and it was so relaxing. Took a rapido to Guindy station at ₹34/-. This place is easily connected to many prime location and railway stations.

A good place to hangout with friends and family located at walking distance from Alandur metro station. The place also has parking space. Good use of area under the flyovers by converting it into a food court with a wide variety of shops offering various cuisines and beverages. It also has restroom facilities, play area with a lot of options and beautiful lawns to relax and look at the sky. The place is best to visit in the evening hours and is always full of people. It also offers a lot of places for selfies as its well lit and has beautiful paintings . A must go for food lovers in the city

If you have grown up in Chennai , you surely know how this place before constructing Karhipara Junction. It was a big roundabout in the centre with a Nehru statue. After the metro construction this huge area under these bridges are not utilised. But it turned out to be a bigger park with a lot of shops and restaurants also with big lawns and a Kids play area, on top of that with decent and clean toilets. Just take a look at the sky by laying down on the lawn. You will enjoy your evenings from there. 3 car parking lot available.

That was actually beyond my expectations. Anyone from Kids to elders can visit this place for a chilling evening. Huge food stall and many number of games. Train, car, jumping game, bull, video games, etc. Also there are swings, slides and see-saws. while kids play, elders can sit on the grass lawn which is maintained clean and tidy. On the other side where food stalls are there, chairs and tables are arranged but it will be a quiet rush on weekends, we found it hard to find seats. Also waited a long to get our orders. Overall it was a nice evening for us with full of mouthwatering dishes and heartfelt games...

Nice place to spend time with family and friends. You can get all kinds of foods and beverages here. Actually it's under the great kathipara bridge. 1000 of vehicles pass over the bridge, metro bridge is also there. Even in this full traffic and sound full atmosphere you didn't even notice the traffic noise and disturbance. This is the best infrastructure development done by the TN government. The way they utilise the place under the bridge and made this as food area and making income out of this 🔥🔥🔥

“Located under Kathipara flyover. No entry charges. No entrance. You can enter anywhere. Many entertainment items are there for kids. Clean and neatly maintained. Good place for walking around. Garden, food courts, children's park, toilet facilities. You can see busses, metro and flights from same place. Hotels like Tosai, Madras Coffee House etc opened. Parking area is available for both four wheelers and two wheelers. There will be more crowd on Sundays”

The place is spacious but they charge for everything The restroom, bike parking, All Games are very costly for Kids. The shop for rent is 50k plus 10k maintenance. Extra EB and water. It's very hard for all the business startups. The rent should be reasonable.

Evening scene was amazing🤩 there was a book fair the policy of fair was purchase a box and pay only box prices and fill unlimited book in the 📦box

The initiative of all things is appreciated. The urban square takes life at night, which is very much understandable since no one wants to spend time in playground or any open-space in scorching Chennai. I went there twice. Once in the morning for Book fair by "used book factory". I didn't get the titles I wanted so walked out hoping, I'll get them next time. The next time I visited on night, wow it really came to life from pop corn, tea, fast food, food, snack shops, Parks, Arcade games. Imagine a mall experience but without movie/buying any clothes/groceries - Just food and fun. There is ample paid parking space all around the over bridge, you can approach from any side and there will be a parking, the charges are also low, even then people park in no parking area risking towing, so far there is no tow incident it seems. At night when there is little to no traffic we were able to appreciate the play area, some items were broken sadly. Seems we went pretty late, many things like toy train closes early around 10pm.

Cool place to hang out with family. The place is neat and clean with beautiful park, food court to satisfy your taste buds from tea, coffee, cold drinks, snacks to biryani with well known food chains like Junior kupanna, Madras coffee house, Ya moideen and many. The place has kids arena with trampoline, toy train and inflated play area.

Wow!! Nice place for people residing in Guindy, Alandur, Ramapuram, Mugalivakkam, Manapakkam, Ashok Nagar and all other nearby places. Fantastic concept, well planned. People of south western side like Porur can spend their time here due to proximity and dont have to go all the way to Marina or Besant nagar beach. Even entire chennaites can come and enjoy the day or night. This is 24 hours zone and no worries if you have enough time to spend. Food court everywhere. Beautifully done space and during night it's colourfull. Plenty of play area for the kids. Kids will simply love it. Perfect family outing. Ample 4 wheeler and 2 wheeler parking. Highly recommended.

Atlast such a convenient, simple,yet fun place to meet your friends or take ur family n kids for a weekend or any day when u want an outing. I recently saw the gaming zone which is so cute and apt for the lil ones to njoy.... I actually felt like I was at a beach with the wind blowing gently as I njoyed my time while my lil one played and had his share of fun. There is a small train ride and park with kids slide,swing,etc in condition. Love the eateries esp Mansukh for the Paani Pooris n Softies which doesn't pinch your pockets yet gives u a lovely eating experience with ur family.... Enjoy from the variety of outlets from Starbucks Coffee,Pizza Hut,KFC,Junior Kupanna,iD,Havmor n much more ...... Easy Parking! Go njoy!

Kathipara Urban Square is exactly located under of the the famous landmarks of Chennai, Kathipara Flyover & Metro bridge. You can reach there in public transport either by local train at Guindy Railway Station or Alandur Metro Station, walkable distance from both. Paid parking for bikes & cars available. It has no particular entrance, you can enter anywhere around. No entry fee. Located at 3 diffrent segments. Seatings available. This is the best place for Kids. Children play area, jumping games, toy train are available for kids. And also various shops are available for snacks and lunch. The best time to visit is at Evenings. Good pleasant place for spending time with friends & family. Please keep it clean when you visit.

I recently visited this place many times for a reason. Here you can find most of the fast and junk foods. Here you will get Starbucks and KFC outlets there. Most of the others are local outlets. North Indian snacks are also served here. A small park is also here for children's activities. Nowadays an unlimited book fair is also going on here. Parking for two wheeler and four wheeler is also available here.

Amazing idea to convert this place into an urban sqare including foodcourts, children's park, crafts bazar, parkings, shops, resting area etc, hope it will be well maintained and kept clean all the time.

It's a new place trending now. Underneath to the kathipara butterfly bridge. It's more or less like a park. It has a kids area with swings n slides. Slowly this place attracted huge crowd after it's been opened. Only one shop is been opened rest all is undergoing some renovation works, once they come it'll be like an OMR food street. No fees for entry n parking. Good place to go with family.

Uptown Kathipara is an innovative initiative from Chennai Corporation. Kudos to the whole team 👏👏👏. The place is clean, well maintained lawns, green park area, a lot of shops to eat and spend time, some sports activities, and seasonal events like book fair, art and cultural activities. One of the best places in Chennai to sit and relax, to experience varieties of cuisines from different restaurants. A calm and neat place. Well maintained. The parking fare for 2 wheelers is Rs.10. A nice spot to hangout with family especially with friends. Better than a routine one 🥰👍👍👍

Well maintained picnic area. Place to relax at the centre of the heavy traffic city. Place is well designed. Lot of eatery option. Metro train ltd maintaining parking area. lot of spacious parking with minimal amount. Kids games are available. park is maintained well.

After a very long time decided to check it out today. Basically it is just an eat out spot. An open air food court under the big kathipara grade seperator. A small garden is also there. There is no entry cost. Sufficient parking space for vehicles. 30 rupees per three hours for 4 wheelers which is very reasonable. All famous fast food eateries like Pizza Hut, Starbucks, kfc etc are there. Many are open to 2am on the morning. There is also a gaming place, but I didn't go in. There is a machine bowled cricket arena. 18 balls hundred rupees.

Nice place.. and the area well utilized.. has got a small food street and kids play area.. Good place for walking around and spend some time with family in evenings.. one of the good thing is it has good space for 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler parking.

Excellent Park.Well laid food court with dining facilities and basic amenities like Public restrooms are available. Space under the bridge is perfectly utilized and serves the purpose of benefitting the General Public by giving them park , food court , walking path.

Good place to go for a drive in night. You'll get biriyani here from junior kuppana 24/7. Better to go for only tea or coffee. Most of the food here is expensive here. Children's play area was under construction during my last visit. Not sure if it started functioning already.

Such a beautiful place to visit in the heart of the City, with family and friends. You have so many shops for snacking and meals, starting from Tea Shops, Juice Shops, Pizza, Biryani and many more. Wish they add more space for Kid's Play area in the near future!

It's a very good transition of this place. Really well planned and organized under smartcity project. It's good place to short meet ups in evening time, I can able to see children happily enjoying there😄. As you all known, It's a very peak area, here you can see busses, metro, and flights everything moving above your head, It's definitely a different experience that we're relaxing on this peak area 😉 but we have to mind the pollution, It's advisable that not to relaxing here too much time 😂 it may cause some other issues 😊.
